"ooooooooooooohhh" the other girls giggled, giving Nikolai a teasing set of stares.

the girls nodded softly. "true... but theres a hospital in town. don't you work there?" they asked givign him raised eyebrows.

he uncovered the the infants ears and sighed "never. that place just says things that arent even an issue so you owe more money. they have cheap meds, and they wouldnt know what to do with a broken arm if they had ine themselves"

"you only work in Biotechnics. that doesn't qualify." Cryssy and Violete mumbled, looking at their youner sister.
"so? atleast we have scientific fields of study." daisy and carnation sneered, poking their eldest sisters in their guts.

"nik..." the girls mumbled, giving him questioning looks. "oh well, doesn't really bother us." they smiled and gave tiny shruggs.
the infants curled up against their mothers, letting out a tiny wimper.
"huh..... guess it's starting..." rose and lilly sihged, looking down at their daughters.

Jacob stood up "yeah. he uses King Cobra venom in some of his remedies. and there changing? i guess we watch."
Nikolai sighed and sat down, looking drained

"rose... lilly... why didn't you let them sleep through it?"Daisy and Carnation muttered, watching their nieces with small, worried looks.
"they need to know what's going on for their first one."
"besides, the methods we use are too potent for infants..."
"even if they are canging, it could hurt them more so then help them." the girls sighed softly watching their daughters with guilty expresions.
the babies let out small cries of pain as their bodies started to be enveloped in their elements.

Nikolai had to hold Jacob back from running to his daughters "take it easy! theres nothing you can do."

"all we can do is tell them it's going to be over soon.... and hope it is." Violette and Cryssy muttered, peering at their nieces from over their sisters' shoulders. "but they're still rather petiet so.. it shouldn't take too long." they smiled softly
Rose and lilly nodded to their elder sisters words and then placed the babies on the ground, making a patch of grass by melting away the snow.
"of course...they do like to hear us sing.... we can always keep them calm with a song." Daisy and Carnation smiled, sitting on either side of their sisters.
the babies let out another small cry, this one continueing for a few minutes as their elements surrounded them some more.

the girls shook their heads softly. "we don't need that to sing." they smiled and looked at their sisters starting to hum softlythe rest of the girls caught the tune and nodded, singing all the pretty little horses togehter to calm the infants.the babies cooed softly, hearing their aunts and mothers singing, getting distracted from the pain for the moment.
