Desmond smiled and picked it up easily. As soon as he was to his feet, he used his improvised cane to stay balanced.

Desmond started walking, he really didn't know where he was going, but maybe they could find they path. Then they would know where they were... more or less.

Desmond saw it's ears perk and wondered what it was hearing. "What is it?" he asked calmly, he knew it wouldn't answer, but it was still worth a shot.

Desmond looked forward again, he saw a path about one hundred feet ahead. "Well, that took less time than I expected." he said, they were approaching the path and would soon be on it.

Desmond stopped at the path and reached into his pocket. A coin was what he brought out. "Heads we go right, tails we go left." he flipped the coin.

Desmond watched as it jumped off his shoulder and smelled the path. The coin displayed 'heads' which meant they'd go right.

Desmond picked the animal up again and walked to the right. "I hope this is the way out." he really didn't know, but the coin is better than nothing.
