not a lot from this thread! i think people in here are just setting up shops and such now!
@ everyone: by the way, does anyone have a clue about the target for funds? i need something to put down as an aim in the tektek shop, also, should i put the fundraising total progress of all the shops in or just the tektek shop? whatcha think? I would say set a goal for yourself in the tektek shop. You can always add to it as the gold grows.

I hope I can keep up with the shops...
Urr... I think some of it's used for buying the prizes for contests, and I think others are used for like... Buying the items to dress up the avatars but to be honest I have absolutely no.

For example, since we have nearly a year and I set up the donation thread right away, I made a target of 5 million... You should only keep track of the funds put into the thread you are responssible, then maybe we could add all the funds together and reveal the total during the "opening ceremonies" with thank yous and such. By the way, is anyone planning to do any holiday themed fundraisers. And I don't mean just the big ones either- like christmas and new years. We could do smaller ones for other holidays. Hallow's Eve and Thanksgiving. We could even do a "back to school" event during the first couple weeks of september. I know it doesn't count as a holiday but for kids it's a big deal... like I said small event. So, recap in fewer words: Major holidays= big events Minor holidays= small events We could put like christmas, kwanza and honnicka (sorry, can't spell it right anymore) all in one and then it isn't North American centralized.

WHEW! Things are really moving along! Theme chosen, funds started, committees on the move!!
I am back from vacation, but I am also starting school at a new building (same school) Monday, and I have high school swim season going on which is very time consuming,especially in the first week or so.
I will be able to handle the committee, but I may not check in for 2-3 days at a time just so you guys know.
ANYWAYS, let's get down to business cool

*deep breath* I HAVE RETURNED!!!! Mostly, I'm still moving in and I start class on Monday, so it could be interesting for a little while. All the same, I once again have internet!
I just read through, and I THINK I'm caught up, but just to make sure could someone do a recap of what's happened that I missed for me? Pretty please?
