Ashlein looked at her with a puzzled look. "Are you sure? Honestly money is not a problem. At least let me buy you a necklace or ring. Something to remember our initial meeting by." She glanced at her self in the mirror ."Indeed. I normally like gothic lolita dresses, but this is a bit much." She disappeared into the dressing room yet again and reappeared in a silk, incredibly long sleeved, black kimono that had delicate pink and red flowers all over it. The slides were slit up all along her thigh to her hip and she was wearing black silk boy shorts and thigh high pink tights. Her bright green obi was smaller and the front was split further down her cleavage so she could move around freely. "I feel I could wear this to battle and to a party!" She said with a smile as she whirled around in front of the mirrors. "What do you think Avery?"

"I think I'll get this and the pink dress, then," she said with a smile as she grabbed her other dress and folded it neatly. She pulled on her knee high black combat boots and folded her other dress neatly. "I think I'll just wear this dress out. I really like this one." She smiled at Avery. "I stay in the Eirannes house and I am in the Holly dorm. What about you?" she asked as they walked back toward the front of the store. Every few steps she would pick up some jewelry or a headdress to go with her outfits she had chosen. "I hope you don't think I'm spoiled or anything. It is true my family is wealthy, but trust me I don't just go out of my way to flaunt it. I love to share. The offer still stands; if you want anything just grab it and I will be more than happy to pay for it." She smiled again at Avery. Finally they had reached the front of the store. She gently placed her things on the counter and politely asked the attendant for a bag to put her other skirt in. After the attendant nodded and disappeared to the back to retrieve a suitable bag, she turned to Avery, awaited her answer to what house and dorm she resided in.

"It's not a useless emotion, you just have to make sure you don't feel it all the time. And I am terrible sorry for your loss." She looked up at Avery with a gentle smile. "I hope that we end up in the same house! That would be awesome. And since you don't want me to buy you any clothes how about we play a little dress up in some of mine? We look about the same size, and I know which dresses would look just perfect on you!" Just then the attendant had returned with a bag and gave it to Ashlien. Then she began to tally up Ashlien's purchase. "I came a long way to come here, all the way from Okinawa, Japan. I had heard about Fuyu Academy from my mother. I wanted to learn how to harness all of my power and I figured this would be the best place to learn how."
"Do you have any special powers?"

Ashlien smiled at the thought of a young Avery running around in a familar dress from her grandmother's closet. "I myself come from a very strange mix," she said finally. "Because of my mother's side, I am a witch and telekinetic by nature. I was raised to have minor control of the elements and control certain aspects of time and space. Also I am a telekinetic. My father owns a dojo in Okinawa. She taught me the arts of war, so I am skilled in just about every weapon you can dream of." She smiled sheepishly. "I rarely use my powers though. I only use them against those that cause harm or to practice. Most people think I'm some kind of warlord when I tell them what I can do."

Ashlien smiled "Well that is good. Magic isn't always reliable." She turned to the attendant and paid for her purchase. "I've only been here for a day and a half, you're really the only other person that I've talked to from Fuyu since I arrived." She faintly remembered the face of the man she had met earlier at the Courtyard. She grabbed her bags and walked towards the door. "How would you like to get something sweet to eat at the Ice Cream Shoppe?" I'm starving, personally,and I could really go for an ice cream float right now." Ashlien looked in her bag and pulled out a thin ring with a singular dainty diamond placed on top. She turned and handed it to Avery "Here, since it is almost Christmas, I figured I would get my only friend here a Christmas present," she said with a smile. "And I won't take 'No' for an answer. Now how about we get some ice cream?"
