Ah, I've heard that the Zombie Survival Guide was good. I never got around to reading it though.
Me and my friends always had a temporary solution for what to do if trapped in a suburban location with zombies; block off all the lower levels of the houses, windows and doors, and connect the upper levels of the houses to form pathways or bridges through windows or across patios. Then simply survive by moving across the rooftops or upper levels of the houses while the zombies are trapped below. Wouldn't work when you got to more open areas, or if the zombies were particularly clever or strong- but in small patches of suburbia it could work to make travel easier to get survivors closer to resources.

It's just so many people attempt zombies and it either turns out overly cliche or boring to me.

Zombies can be pretty bland. But like I said, those two books are pretty good.

The twelve-gauge double-barreled Remington. S-Mart's top of the line. You can find this in the sporting goods department. That's right, this sweet baby was made in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Retails for about $109.95. It's got a walnut stock, cobalt blue steel, and a hair trigger. That's right.
Shop smart. Shop S-Mart.

It's from the Evil Dead movies.
I HIGHLY recommend them. That particular quote and 'this is my boom stick' (which immediately precedes that) is from Army of Darkness. It's comedy horror.

i actually read manga too but i enjoy how dynamic American comics are in comparison. American comics tend to go to the extremes with heroes and villains , dark vs. light battle and actually sometimes gives you story from the perspective of the villain.
