"Got it!" Kurt cried as he catches the ball, and runs down the side towards the net. "Not if I can help it," Rogue siad as she moved to intercept Kurt. Unfotunately, he managed to get off the shot just before she got there. The ball soared towards the net, and-

Was intercepted in mid-air by Morgan, who'd made a spectacular leap into the air to catch it. While still in the air, he manages to send the ball flying towards the other end of the court.

"Hey, I thought ve said no powers!" Kurt complains.

"I know. That wasn't one of my powers. That was just years of training," Morgan replies, grinning.

OOC: Heh, hidden abilities revealed... nice.

IC:

"Nice," Penny said and decided she was not goign to be holding back. She timed herself enough that she got back halfcourt and caught the ball in her arms, "But two can play that."

She dribbled up to the three point line, and assessed the people around her. Rogue came up on her and despite the match in reflexes, Penny judged Rogue's movements enough that she dribbed right around her. Jamie hit her next and she tripped him enough that she could back him below the net. Blindly, she put the ball up into the net. It bounced off and into Kurt's hands.

"Oh well, a girl can only do so much," Penny shrugged. She hadn't played the game enough to absorb its neuances.

Five points later for the other team... she pretty mcuh figured she should really learn the game.

"Oh hell," She said coming up to the three point line. She took a shot and it sailed through the net, "Can I get three for that?"

OOC: Hmmm... I need to find something to do with Freya and Wanda. Not easy being neutral. lol But once I find something good to break...*looks at basketball game* er...I mean something good to do, I'll post. twisted

{Okies. I suppose the game's really going to heat up, now that Penny's not holding back.}

OOC: Heh, yea, I can see them all ending up in a knock down drag out fight with all the hormones and adreneline going around. Phoenix > It's okay. I usually don't write much during this time of day but we've been slow at work.

IC:

Penny stopped in her tracks literally and landed flat on her feet. Matt's question kind of brought her back to reality after the adreneline started pumping. And it made her laugh. SHe wasn't laughing at him, but the situtation.

"I'm not laughing at you, but you made me just realize we never asked everybody if they actually knew how to play," She put her hand on her forehead and just shook her head.

As their game took a small break, Jean litterally rang a dinner bell. The smell of hotdogs, hamburgers, chicken, and steaks came up over the bushes dividing the basketball court and the patio area. The smell literally made Penny's mouth water.

"Maybe we can go over it during dinner," Penny said and picked up a water bottle from the sideline.

"Trying to get out of this butt whoopin'?" Rogue asked.

Penny shrugged and smiled, "The world will never know, but I sure as hell can't play with food that good sitting over there untouched."

OOC: I'd post, but it seems we are still on the same day as we were when we restarted this. I just want to know do we plan on getting past this one day or are we going to be stuck in some type of time-limbo like on Groundhog Day? And to those who preach about initative, (you know who you are. Shut your ******** face.), read in the parentheses. Shut your ******** face. And if you wish to pipe up, I will guaran-damn-tee that I will make each and everyone of you hate me more than you already do. Thank you and goodbye.

OOC: . . . Damn posting entire basketball games while I'm at school. I'm not sure what to post right now, should we skip dinner and go straight to tommorow?
