Kaida turned and gave Kuro one of those looks that only a girl can give. "Kuro.. behave... " Kaida looked annoyed then looked back to the boy. "Head back to town please..."

Kuro flinched for a moment, the vines reacting to his emotions as the ones closest to Kaida started to wilt, but quickly returned to normal.

"I'm simply stating proper etiquette." Kuro's jutsu was starting to take on a will of its own now. More trees began to be entangled with vines, truly making the area his. Feeding off the other plantlife instead of his chakra, this was only stage two of Kuro's "parasite vine". Kuro's expression was unchanging as this process silently took place, making it seem that even he wasn't aware of it.

((Foreshadowing Kuro's more sinister nature twisted ))

No one is giving him much of a choice now are they?

::Myou became visible again, standing on a tree branch not too far away from the group, grinning as always::

A bit jumpy are we?

Ignoring the new person completely, Humbra remained on the long vine. Even through the twisting of Kuro's feelings, which in turn twisted and contorted the vines, the Gennin remained on the swaying bit of green. His eyes then closed, as he began to block the world from his mind.

He continued to walk on the vine, clearly focusing on his chakra controll in order to perfect his control.

Kaida glanced over to Myou. "I just don't want people out this far right now. Its gonna be dark in maybe an hour... " She looked back to the boy. "Go back to the village please..."

Humbra leaped off the rope. He stood there, looking at the soon to be Kagess. The shinobi frowned, thinking about what she was saying after he had listened to her last few words. "Kaida. Kuro is an Academy Student. I presume this red-haired nin is also an academy student." The Gennin's eyes remained on her. "In the act of fairness, if you send him away you must also send our friend away as well."

"And, if you consider it dangerous, think about Myou. She's only a sparse few meters away from us. We're probably in the safest place in Grass Village right now since she's here."

Kuro blinked vacanetly, not quite knowing what was going on. He sighed in futility, all three of the vines snapping. Kuro dropped softly to the ground, not moving for a moment. He inhaled and opened his eyes with an indentical pace. The vines around the trees started to grow thicker, moving toward the ground and taking root.

"The safest place at the moment is here. The dangers lies in wandering away from us." Kuro stepped next to a tree, brushing his hand against one of the vines. The brownish-green plant reacted by bulging.

"Ambush." All the vines suddenly shot out long roots that dug into whatever it hit, even the rocks and other vines.

"In case you forgot, we're still training. And there's no reason he can't join." The area was now filled with dozens of slightly thinner vines reaching in every direction, although they slowly grew bigger as they fed off the trees and other plantlife. This second stage had a time limit, as it only lasted as long as there were nutrients in the soil, which the jutsu would exhaust quickly. He never had enough chakra to attempt stage three, but the idea of showing it off now intrigued him.

Kaida stood there a moment listening to what Humbra had to say. She took in account the act of fairness and glanced to the boy. "If you stay out here you stay with us. That also means you return when we do. Got it?" Kaida turned and walked over to Humbra putting her hand on his shoulder. "He is in your care."

Removing her hand from his shoulder she lept onto the vines and began practicing again and again and again so that she could get it right. She didn't want to be some joe smoe ninja. She wanted to be a Kagess that held the power and respect of her peers. A kage was to be the strongest ninja of the village and she had to keep up her game to make sure that she was among the elite..

::Myou grinned, happy to see Kuro taking soem charge here. She was becomming happier with her choices as time went on. And he was right, if there was danger, then the younger boy would be safer with this group. She gave a quick bow, passing command back over to kuro and then was gone again::

arrow Forests Outside Kusagakure

Trees... glorious kings of the earth. The source of sustained life on this twirling ball of mud.

Seated calmly on a branch of one of these trees, a teenaged-boy watched other young ninja training their skills. If anything, he seemed rooted to the spot, swaying with the branch and enjoying what sunlight could reach him.

With a careful motion of a practiced hand, the teen slicked back green-streaked hair, to better expose it to the light. He seemed to do little else than watch the others, for now; save cleaning his glasses from time to time.

Kuro blinked with a confused look on his face. He didn't quite know what was going on, but that didn't seem to matter at the moment. The area within 25 feet of him was now filled with vines extending in random directions. He grabbed one of the vines and lowered himself on the side of a tree. Kuro had more chakra, he just hadn't used this much of it before, so he didn't want to tire himself out too quickly.

"I guess... I'll show you want to do." Kuro suggested, not actually feeling like explaining after what happened before. He lifted himself, the vine aiding as several tiny vines wrapped around his hand. When he stood, he jumped on top of it with only the tip of his right foot, then leaped to the next one.

"The vines are thinner. If you stay on them too long, they'll snap. But you have to exert the same control as before or they won't support your weight." In the time he said that, he had already traveled past three more vines and was now standing on the top vine, several more vines wrapping around it as it thickened, then growing bark like a tree to become even sturdier.

"Up here." He stated simply. Just as the diameter was 25 feet, the height was 25 feet, a perfect half sphere.

Kaida practiced walking across the vines again and again and again, each time improving alittle. She glanced over every once in a while to see what Kuro and Humbra were up to but she for the most part kept to herself. She practiced consistantly until she was able to get across at a moderate pace and at last her chakra was at a dangerously low point. She lept down from the vine and looked up to Kuro and Humbra. "I need to rest..."

Humbra jumped onto the nearby ropes. The second he landed the Genjutsu-ist Gennin began walking forward. With adhering to Kuro's advice from earlier, Humbra quickly went across the thinner and weaker vines with relative ease.

However, after the eigth of ninth step, the vine usually snapped and caused the Gennin to be sent to the forest floor below him. And, each time he fell, he got back up to leap onto the next vine to continue his training.

arrow Forest

Maizen leaned back against the warm bark of the tree's trunk, an old birch in fact, watching Kuro and Kaida and Humbra practice their chakra control.

He didn't know them, of course, but they were out in the patch of forest he liked to sun himself in, and it was more interesting than watching squirrels store nuts.

Kaida got up from the ground having taken a short ammount of time to rest and then popped something in her mouth giving her more strength. She got back up and climbed right back up the tree to the vines walking across them. She had managed well enough on some of the normal sized vines, but she wanted more of a challenge. "Kuro give me something harder to work with... please."
