An almost inaudible "...I'm sorry..." came from Mario. Apparently, he was worried enough about Blumiere to actually comment about it. Unfortunately, Mario didn't really know what to do in these kind of situations, despite being pulled into them so often.
Merlon had decided to try to cheer Timpani up.
"You tried your best and that's all that matters. We're all still alive, You're out of that cage, and that jester's going to die... That is something to be thankful for..."

"..."Blumiere didn't really know what to do, or what to say- all he knew was that he owed Nastasia his life, and he had done nothing to repay her with, save a broken heart- he hadn't even had a chance to say thankyou, and it seemed like he never would.
It took him a few valuable moment to realise that the source of all his pain was, in fact, Dimentio and himself.
"you know... I really do think I hate you..." he said, to both suspects.

She was still worried about Blumiere, she looked at him with concern.

Blumiere couldn't possibly be talking about him, could he? No. Of course, not. He had rescued Blumiere's wife from death.
Mario had just collapsed in disbelief at what Merlon had said.

Blumiere glanced at Merlon "ah- sorry- I believe we've hit a misunderstanding- no- I don't hate you.." he said, calmly, figuring that it was pretty obvious exactly who he hated in that room...
The sight of Mario collapsing got him out of his lapse in concentration. "... I apologise- my own concerns are nothing of coincidence- and for my lapse in concentration, I apologise.." He sighed for a moment, glancing up at Timpani.
"you know- sometimes you really are too intelligent for your own good.." he said, his tone apologetic.

His guilt was impossible to bear- he'd caused someone else the same pain that he'd endured for..
