Yagura Sumimura Yagura walked into the library, still mulling the words that passed from the Anbu's lips. What was that idiot thinking when he made that insult? Did he wish to lose his life or was it that his position had gone to his head? Either way it went, his training with the Swordsmen of the Mist would have called for him to kill the shinobi, if they were present. As he continued through the aisles of the library, he saw a few other gennin in the area.
The one that caught his attention was the girl from the Kaguya clan. She appeared to be doing a weird dance of some sort, but after studying it more closely, he could see that she was practicing a technique. It's time for me to find my area of expertise if I'm going win the chunnin exam. The first step would be to learn some new techniques, he thought to himself. Reaching the row that housed scrolls on ninjutsu, he went for the one that focused on Suiton techniques. I should get the hang of a defensive justu before starting an offensive one.
The Mist shinobi reached out, took the scroll and walked over to a secluded spot to train. He rolled the parchment open and stared at the writings on it. "Hm... this technique shouldn't be too difficult." Forming the hand signs for the jutsu he was practicing, he mumbled silently, "Mizu Soujuu." A watery sheet dropped on him for a few seconds and then dried as quickly as it came.[1] "Well, I see that I have to focus my chakra a bit more," he said calmly. Repeating the hand signs, Yagura closed his eyes and felt the liquid soak his body more, but it wasn't enough for him to just have the water wet him. In his mind, he saw a large collection of water particles sitting in the air and when he opened his eyes, actual droplets manifested before his eyes. "So this is the technique is useful in more than one way. I'll have to make use of for the exam," he whispered to himself.[2] (Mizu Soujuu:complete)

Kairi was happy to hear the boys answer and followed him outside the academy. Who knows why he decided to go out doors but she had her suspicions. Once they exited the building he turned to her and told her that the only wa he would teach her is if she fought him and was able to land one blow. "Um that's gonna e kind of hard seeingas your ajounin" she replied sarcasticly.

We’ll you gotta work hard if you want to attain something the boy replied not realizing the she was being sarcastic. He lifted his hands with both the index and the middle finger pointing up before crossing the fingers from each hand to one another. Kage Bunshin Technique the boy softly said making a puff of smoke appear on his side which concealed a clone that he created. Here… if you can land one hit on my clone I’ll start teaching you the boy said optimistically, as both Ichi and his clone smiled at the girl
ready when you are said the clone while he stood casually, as if he doesn't have an intention of fighting the girl at all.

With a eased mind and a steady hand Kairi toke a deep breathe and focused on here target. For her it didn't matter if it was the real thing or a clone she was gonna give this fight her all, seeing thats all she had. Pulling out 3 kunia she aimed them for his torso. As she threw them she used the Uo Tsuba jutsu creating a wakizashi out of the water in the air. Lets go she thought running at him.

Yagura Sumimura Yagura grinned enigmatically, proud that he got the hang of his newest technique, Mizu Soujuu. "Well I guess it's time to move on with my training." Scanning through the scroll once again, he found another potentially useful jutsu; Mizu Bunshin no Jutsu. He continued the same process that he'd previously practiced with Mizu Soujuu. Staring at the paper, he studied the hand signs until he memorized them. Yagura closed his eyes and concentrated on seeing a water clone. Forming the necessary hand signs and fusing his chakra with the particles of water in the air, the young Hidden Mist ninja opened his eyes and whispered, "Mizu Bunshin no Jutsu."
A water clone appeared out of thin air. It was standing in front of him, waiting for a command. Yagura dispersed the aqua doppleganger and searched for another technique.(Mizu Bunshin no Jutsu: complete)

As the fight went on its way, Ichiro jumped back landing on the walls of the Academy before sitting down to watch this ought a be interesting the boy thought to himself.
Seeing the girl taking the first move, the clone could only shake his head in disappointment with her attacks sure, it’s a nice combo but you gotta be more explosive than that the clone said on a slight pessimistic tone.
The Jounin clone reached onto his holster and also took 3 kunai of his own throwing it towards the in-coming projectiles from the girl, deflecting it away. As the Kunai’s left his hand, Ichiro began to make swift hand seals creating chain like tentacles of water on the girl’s path that would bind her if she continued to move forward.
you’re combinations are good, but they are pretty straight forward making them easy to dodge or deflect.. Try again the boy said as he smiled at her, advising her to improvise a more complex combination of attacks.

Kairi quickly jumped back at the sight of the tentacles know the effects of it. Rethinking her next move Kairi used the "Mizu no Yaiba" to create two daggers and held her grown. I have to think of some way to get rid of that tentacle she thought to herself. Then she had an idea as she ran forward she leaped into the air and used another jutsu she learned called the Uo Tsuba to shoot five simple jets of water at him. Over that she used Mizu Soujuu to draw more water into her hand covering her fist. I don't need to get face to face but I will get close enough she thought to herself.

Ichi smiled as he saw her fall back and came up with a new strategy to attack the young jounin. An aerial attack to avoid the tentacles plus the use of Uo Tsuba as a diversion to be able to close in on me? There’s a bit of improvement but still isn’t enough. the boy thought to himself as he looked at the five bullet like stream of water heading his way.
The boy flipped back, completely avoiding the projectiles with such ease. although, it gave an opportunity for Kiari to land close to him bringing the fight into close quarters. Your movements are still very sloppy to be honest. I could have inflicted a serious damage to you when you were in mid-air, considering that you wont be able to do anything to change the course of your landing, you are vulnerable to virtually any attacks. the jounin said pointing out the weaknesses that he noticed from the girl.
In addition, due to her repetitive tries to close in on Ichi, the boy came up to a conclusion that she was a close ranged fighter. Seeing that all your moves are meant to close the gap between, I think it’s safe to assume that you’re well with close combat. Am I correct? Ichi asked her, smiling and speaking in a calm and somewhat cheerful tone of voice.

Yagura Sumimura Yagura rolled the scroll up and left it on the nearest table he passed. His training with ninjutsu was as far as he could possibly go and there was no point in delaying things. It's time I start my missions. I need to begin my career.(Exits)

Kairi smiled as she land on the ground "I had to come up with something since I have a limited amount of jutsu" she smiled holding up the release hand sigh revealing a simple clone. From behind the bushes she headed for him with a readied another Mizu no Yaiba aimed for his back.
Unaware if he knew or not but while using the Uo Tsuba she replaced herself with a clone using a simple clone jutsu. "This is too easy" she thought rushing from behind. "He could easily maneuver around me and i'd be done for" she finished as she stopped to throw the dagger turning it into a blast of water.

Ahh.. good strategy! I wasn’t expecting something like that from her, but it really is a good move.. I wonder if my clone would notice it. Ichi said to himself as he sat down on top of the wall, spectating the genin and his clone go at it.
Hearing the ruffling from the bushes, the clone realized that something was coming right behind him though he acted like he didn’t notice it at all. He proceeded and made a false hand seals as if he was preparing to attack the one in front of him but in the last minute, he did a quick barrel roll to the side avoiding the attack from behind which went straight towards the Kairi who was standing in front of him. That’s more like it! the jounin clone yelled while kneeling onto the ground after doing the barrel roll, pumped by the combination of attacks that the girl demonstrated. you gotta be more silent if you want to get your opponent off guard! try again! the clone said chuckling, proud with the progress that the genin is showing.

"Crap knew that wasn't going to work" she smiled looking around and trying to find some other way to attack. Finally she saw something that surprised her. "Now that's care less" she smiled see her bag filled with water bottles she use to practice her technique. Running over to them she took the top off of four of them and seeped her chakra into them. "Now lets try a more blunt way" she said wrapping the chakra infused water around her hand. Running over to Ichi she extended the length of the water into shape blades. "I don't know how long I can hold this but it has to hold"she told herself as she raced over to him.

Yagura walked back into the library, but went further until he made it outside and saw a kunoichi and a young boy wearing a flak jacket. This had to mean that he was skilled ninja for his age. A ghoulish grin broke out across the Hidden Mist gennin's face. I wonder if he has what it takes. Lets see if he has what it takes, he pondered. "Hey, you," he said, pointing at the jounin, "I'm here to challenge you."

While watching the fight, Ichi noticed that the difference of the level of the clone and the genin was quite great for her to even land a blow. The real Ichi formed a hand seal that drew moisture from the air before creating 2 Mizu Bunshin clones that formed beside him.
Ichi instructed one of the water clone to stop the kunoichi from attacking, while the other one jumped with Ichiro to confront the shadow clone. The jounin briefly turned to the girl and said Pay close attention. The boy talked with a somewhat serious tone of voice indicating that the genin should really watch his movements. Ichi planned to demonstrate his strategy of utilizing the water element in front of the girl so she could have a sense of just what it takes to get an opponent off guard.
By pointing his fingers towards the shadow clone, his Mizu bunshin clone charged in with great speeds. As the water clone neared the shadow clone, the real Ichi formed a swift string of hand seals that dispersed the charging water clone back to its liquid form before using the water it released to perform a different jutsu. Mizu Shuriken no Jutsu approximately 20 shurikens from water appeared almost point blank range to the Shadow clone, surrounding him with almost no escape. The water shurikens floated around the shadow clone before barraging into it, dispersing the clone to a puff of smoke.
did you took notes of what I just did? the young jounin said as he turned to the girl.

As Kairi rushed blindly at the clone she was stopped by the one of Ichiro's clone. He's fast and this isn't the real one she thought almost breath taken by his speed. Looking back over to the clone she was running towards began to make her spin quiver for she realized that even as a clone he was out of her league.
As the real one leaped in front of his clone the clone holding her instructed her to observe what was about to take place next. As the fight began it ended almost just as fast with lightning fast movements and hand signs.
Once Ichi won he turned to her and asked if she take any notes from that but she couldn't reply to something such as that. "The way you used the water clone and changed it into an entirely new jutsu was amazing" she said just barely getting the words out. "But my range of jutsu is no where near that how can I even begin to scratch the surface" she asked holding her head down.
