I have friends separated by distance, one in OH and one in TX. They keep up dating by gaming together, which I think is pretty cool. She actually left for Texas today and now he will have her, but I miss her! And I don't really game much. Tried to get her interested in Gaia, but she is a WOW person and Gaia I think is too cute for her. Personally I love it here ( you guys are all here for starters) and its Cheaper than WOW

lol, one of the reasons I like zomg so much is because of how different it is from WoW. I played it for years, but got tired of constantly being pissed off at it so I finally quit. And it is cheaper than WoW, the only money you spend is if you want you, you can do hella stuff and not spend a dime.
On another note, some of my stuff arrived today. Specifically the handcards, cotton punis, and one of the spindles. The punis are soo much easier to spin than the cotton I had been trying to spin (which was cotton sliver). The difference is cotton sliver is a long thin piece you pull pieces off of, and a puni is a smaller flat piece rolled into a tube. The handcards are so I can turn my sliver into punis for easier spinning, heh. So far I'm having a blast with all of it. whee

It does sound wonderful!!! When I tried to learn spinning, the wool and alpaca I got came in big flat pieces I guess, so it was much harder to spin. I used to pull it out into strips before I started spinning, but I always felt like I was cheating. I had a drop spindle and I never had time to get much done before I had to spin again. I finally took to sitting on a bar stool so I had a bit more time. I cannot wait to hear stories about your spinning.

Thanks! It's so much fun, I'm having a blast. I can't spin as much as I want as it aggravates my bursitis (which is a chronic inflammation of the padding in the shoulder joint) but I still get tons done. The cotton is a dream to spin, it actually spins the way it should and so far is holding together, yay! Luvvie, it sounds like you got the fiber in a batt form, the most popular way to spin from it is to tear strips off, but I can see how that would seem weird and be hard to spin. I personally started with top, so if you ever pick it up again you might want to try that preparation.
