"I was..." Lin murmured softly, "But she was right behind me instead of hiding, she said she was staring but I'm not quite sure at what.. well if it was mean I don't really know why she was flustered by that."
Lin was sort of used to being stared at anyways.

"I don't know," Earendil admitted. "I hardly know her myself. Maybe she was looking at your wings, maybe she wanted to play with your hair, I can't say. Apparently she's even a bit of a mystery to Tinuviel and Aranel."
And frankly, if her own parents couldn't understand her, how was he supposed to after only three cycles of the moon?

"Maybe...." Lin mused.
Who knew? All she knew was that at leaset Aranxia had become more comfortable over time.
"I don't really know her, but I think she's quite sweet."

Earendil smiled warmly, his eyes relaxing. "She is," he murmured. "Regan is sweet in her own way, but Aranxia ... she's just sweet from beginning to end."
He yawned a bit, turning his head away so that Lin wouldn't hear or see. He had been up very early indeed ...

It was a long ride, in truth by nightfall Lin had been feeling tired and Miyuki was getting cranky (which wasn't common for the babe), and over all she wante3d to rest, but first she needed to feed Miyuki and make sure she was comfortable.
The stars came out one by one and the weather was nice, at least Lin knew... it wouldn't be bad camping out.

It was well past dark by the time they landed for the night, and Aurin immediately set about collecting wood for a fire. Which he worked on that, Leyenda took care of Amalirahc, who had fallen asleep already, and Kelirahc and Haldia worked silently to prepare a sleeping area for everyone.
Earendil let Senka out of his bag, and Whisper, who had been with Aurin and Rhea, curled up by the fire. Rhea helped Aurin tend to Skyel.
"Do you need a hand with Miyuki?" Earendil asked Lin softly, coming over to sit next to her. "You look exhausted ..."

"Uhm...." Lin had to think about it.
Probably because her brain was stalling, who knew riding would be tiring? She didn't think it would be of course when your'e sitting and keeping your balance for who knows how many hours.
Lin handed Miyuki who was fussing, rubbing her little fists against her eyes, "Hold her while I get her things."

Earendil nodded and took Miyuki carefully, and he held her against his chest and rocked her gently, humming softly to her. He had cared for Amalirahc every once in a while when he had been an infant, and he loved being able to do so. It showed in his expression, too: his eyes grew soft and warm, his expression tender.

Lin smiled at that as she rummaged through Miyuki's bag she wondered if maybe Miyuki should get another feeding or maybe just be changed.
"Maybe I'll change her and see if she falls asleep or not while doing so, I can't tell what she wants more a meal or to sleep."
Right now Lin couldn't tell for herself as she pulled out a cute pink one piece for Miyuki along with the foldable crib.

"Looks like a good sleep to me," Earendil murmured, smiling at Miyuki as she rubbed her eyes. "She's so tired ..."
He kept rocking her gently, glancing over at Lin to see if she was ready for her.

"The ride kept her awake and excited," Lin murmured as she unfolded the cribe and made sure the parts were secure.
Only when she thought she had everything did Lin hold out her hands for Miyuki.
"Then I guess just a quick change and then off to bed."
Indeed, without the sound of wind blowing past her or hitting her she felt more at ease and quite sleepy. The rocking increased that need, it was much calmer than the ride.

Earendil nodded and held Miyuki out to Lin, handing her over carefully. "Make sure to wrap her warmly," he murmured, smiling faintly. "It gets colder at night, and she won't generate the same body heat as anyone else."
Well, Amalirahc technically had the same problem, seeing as he was nearly as young; but he slept between his parents, and there was plenty of heat there, so that wouldn't be a problem.

Lin nodded at this as she carefully changed Miyuki. It didn't seem like her little girl liked being taken away from Earendil at the moment but it couldn't be helped.
"I suppose it would better if she slept with me but I'm worried about my wings getting in the way."
She was afraid of accidently smothering the baby if she slept with her. Lin reached into the bag to pull out an extra blanket.
"So I guess this will have to do."

"Do you still have a blanket for yourself?" Earendil asked Lin anxiously, ignoring the rumble of his stomach. He would eat soon enough. For now he was just worried about her and Miyuki.
Perhaps they should put up some kind of windbreaker as well, just in case ...

Lin nodded absently, "I made sure to pack an extra blanket for her and one for myself, so it should be fine."
Even though this was the first time Lin was out to the elements like this in a long time. Even while they were sailing it was fine, and Naruos didn't have the same sort of weather.
