There was a boy and a girl version. I forget their names but you could own them as pets and they were in payon dungeon primarilly.

but they were not only pets, they were also monsters you could kill

there's an anime, and a manga (that was never freakin finished I might add T-T) that I know about too ^^

Yea, you can look it up online. Although, I'm never sure which started, the manga or the game. I believe the game started the manga which started the anime. There's also a DS game for it but I heard it sucks.

I tried the DS game... it wasn't bad. I haven't deleted it yet but then again I haven't gotten very far XD (Only in like 2nd hour because of exams) It was more nostagia than anything.
