Ivy

Ivy, now somewhat sated, began to finish off her salad with polite and dainty nibbling as she'd been taught.
She wasn't ignorant of table manners, but when one is really hungry and no one of high authority was watching well...
She paused at his question, no longer interested in the now empty plate.
What did she like about royalty...?
"Well, everyone in the guild is nice to me one they know who I am. I-I don't like angry Pokemon."
Well, there were a few 'angry' Pokemon she liked. Her great Uncle Pluto was always grumpy, but nice deep down.
His sons Atra and Albus were the same, though Atra wasn't around anymore.
"The food is good too..." She added, but flushed red afterwards and instantly regretted saying it.
Oh great, she was coming across as some kind of Grumpig. That would ward off would-be friends for sure!
"I'm...I'm not good at talking to Pokemon..."
As if he hadn't already noticed.

Ver smiled as she spoke. His maw around the straw again as he pushed it's end around the perimeter of the cut. "Angry Pokemon are never fun." He muttered in reply before finally letting go of the straw. "I've met plenty of mean Pokemon. It really isn't fun at all..." He drifted off as he spoke before smiling at her again.
"I'm no picky eater, but I imagine the food's good and hey, you're doing fine with conversation." Ver was pretty straight forward when it came to support. He never stopped to wonder if it were a good or bad thing. "We're conversing fine, aren't we? Question and answer games are fine." His tail wagged behind him.

Ivy

The Glaceon smiled, "I guess we are." She glanced around towards the Snorunts again, a plus side to dining with royalty was the guild took up the tab, so they wer free to take off whenever.
Ivy jumped down from her seat to the floor and turned to her new friend.
"Well, we can go now if you like? Maybe visit my cousin." Well technically Albus would be her first cousin, once removed, but it was far too much of a mouthful.
"He's pretty smart, like you."
To the ditzy, little Glaceon being street smart was apparently enough to warrant a Nobel Prize. She really did need to get out more.
"And his girlfriend-" or what she assumed was his girlfriend, "-is really nice as well."
So long as she didn't sing, or else Ivy'd stuff a paw in her mouth to silence her.

Ver watched Ivy hop down before he shook the tail of his hair back onto the back on his mane, then hopped off in turn. "Yeah, sure. Not like I need to be anywhere." He paused, going to ask Ivy if she knew how to get back from here but he just shook his head and began to walk toward the door. "Alright, getting back from here is easy enough, I'll lead the way." Ver turned and smiled back at Ivy as he bumped back against the door and pushed it open, then held it for the Glaceon.
His temperature slowly began to rise again as the heat from the outdoors returned.

Lia

Lia stepped in through the door (that had no doubt been held open by Lucy) and glanced about quickly to find a free table made to seat four.
It was a comfortable temperature inside, perhaps more so than it had been outside. The restaurant was designed to be comfortably cold for pokemon of all types, so it wasn't entirely unsurprising that she herself felt nice and warm. It was one of the nicer perks of being an Azumarill.
Having spotted a table pressed comfortably up against the wall with two chairs on each side, Lia gently nudged Lara along beside her as they walked through the restaurant towards their seats.
The waiters, no doubt, would be along shortly.

Lara - Lucy

Lara followed close behind Lia as Lucy held the door open for the two of them.
She held her jacket tightly to her body, not really the biggest fan of the cold atmosphere.
She could live though it, though, cuz' she was gonna' get some ice cream~
The young Ralts scooted into a seat right next to Lia, huddling up close to the Azumarill for warmth.
She then began to wait for the person who would come around and take her request for ice cream.

Lucy smiled a bit as she followed behind the two other girls.
Being an Ice type, she was of course perfectly at home in the cool climate the diner had.
She slid into her own seat across from the other two, tapping her claws on the table between them.
"I honestly can't remember if I've been here before or not..." She then muttered, looking around.
The place didn't particularly look familiar to her.
"Maaan, getting old is such a drag."
Since the death of Vito, Lucy had become one of the oldest living members of the guild, immortals and Legendaries notwithstanding.
Her age was beginning to show, as well.
Although she never lost her acrobatic figure, her normally bright pink fur was beginning to lose a bit of its tint, and a few choice wrinkles were forming along her cheekbone.

Lia

Lia slid into her seat just ahead of the other two. She was a little bit surprised when the Ralts huddled up against her. The room wasn't that cold, though it was true that the species was much frailer than most and thus much more susceptible to the cold. Still though, it was a little worrisome. She would have to address it in a moment.
"I can imagine. I just hope I manage to age gracefully."
Lia rested at that awkward inbetween. She had been a young adult when Albus was born and he was now nearly an adult himself. Was she middle-aged now? No, no... not quite yet, anyways.
Lia gently turned the Ralts's head towards her and put one of her hands against the young girl's forehead.
"Lara dear, would you mind coughing for me? Just a little one is fine if you could force one."
If she just had a benign, forced cough then it was probably nothing but it was always possible that she was catching a cold.
If she was, she was getting toted back home and put in bed the moment they were done here unless it was really bad.

Lara - Lucy

Lucy chuckled a little at Lia's reply to getting old.
"They say some Pokemon age like fine wine. I seem to be aging more like milk..."
The Weavile was in her mid fifties, which was kind of a scary concept to her.
She used to be the one regarded as lively, charismatic, and full of youth.
Now she was bordering on being regarded as a senior.
"Oh well, hopefully I'll have something to show for before kicking the bucket."
Helping save the world countless times and taking down a Pokemon regarded as one of the most dangerous to have ever existed just didn't cut it for the Weavile.

Lara looked up at her caretaker, blinking as she was asked to cough.
She couldn't help but flinch a tiny bit when a hand was placed upon her forehead.
The room was a bit cold, and Lia was a Water type.
You really couldn't expect her hand to be comfortably warm.
Doing as she was told, though, she inhaled and then forced a tiny little cough.
It was rather annoying, as forcing a cough hurt her throat a little bit.
She seemed to be rather fine, just really cold.

Lia

Lara's temperature was a little bit off, but it didn't seem to be the result of a fever. Most likely it was just the cold weather.
That was a relief, then. Lara was well out of that "danger zone" young children rested in but it still wouldn't do to have her getting sick.
Lia pulled her hand away and then gently shifted Lara back up against her for the sake of warmth. Even if her hand was a little chill, she herself was quite warm.
"We'll order you a bit of cocoa when the waiter arrives to help keep you warm, okay?"
Of course, Lia had her own money to use--it wasn't like she was telling Lucy what to do or anything.
Lia looked back at Lucy, finally. She had heard the words when they were spoken, but a potentially sick child was a priority.
"Nonsense. You've aged wonderfully, don't be so hard on yourself. I can't imagine you have many colleagues in your field with your level of experience or skill in spite of your age."
That was to say that many surgeons retired fairly early on in life. It wasn't uncommon for the hands to become less and less precise as one aged and a surgeon, skilled or not, needed extremely high levels of precision. Even the slightest amount of shakiness was enough to end a life on the table which was why so many surgeons retired either completely or changed to a quieter sector as they aged.

The Weavile raised her claws, gazing at them with a smirk as Lia spoke.
Wiggling them a bit, they made sharp sounds, sounding like the sound of smooth metal pieces sliding against each other.
True, she was still very precise and perfect with her surgeries, but it was scary to know that it probably wouldn't last long.
"Probably shouldn't have picked something to fall back on that also required good finger work, huh?" She said with a chuckle, giving the guitar case next to her a slight pat.

Lara shrugged a bit as hot cocoa was brought up.
Eh, sure, she'd drink it, but that wasn't what she was here for.
She was here for some good, old fashioned ice cream.
Shifting a bit in her seat, the young Ralts let out an audible whine.
She was beginning to get a bit impatient.

Lucy sighed a bit, turning around and waving a claw to where the Pokemon who worked here seemed to be posted.
"Hey, could we please get a waiter? We've got a little one here!" She called out.
She returned to her normal position, which was facing the other two girls, as a waiter began to walk over to them.

"I'm surprised you don't have quite a bit of money to fall back on. I was under the impression that the ranking members of the guild received fairly significant paychecks."
Though there wasn't really any surprise in her voice; it was more a saying than anything. She wasn't under the impression, she knew.
She had helped Minerva with a great many things. Lia was one of the individuals who was better acquainted with the interior workings of the guild.
The Azumarill was a little bit dismayed at the sudden whine from the Ralts and she quickly set to admonishing the child as a result.
"Lara dear! Use your words. If you want something, the best way is to ask."
None the less, the waiter came quickly as beckoned. The little Snorunt arrived with a small pad and pen in hand and a large pair of sunglasses across his... face.
"Sup?"
Lia was, apparently, content to ignore most facets of the Snorunt's existence.
"For the two of us, just a cup of cocoa and two small ice cream cones. Vanilla for myself, thank you."
Lara could answer for herself, she was a big girl. If she didn't want to, Lia would give her a gentle nudge.

Lucy took up a nearby menu, her ear-feathers flicking to show that she was still listening to the Azumarill speak.
"Oh, we do, of course... But I like to keep it all in rainy-day savings. Whatever I spend, I make doing music these days..."
Her blue eyes scanned the pages of the menu she was holding.
"Gosh, this place is gimmicky..." She muttered under her breath, hoping the Snorunt waiter wouldn't hear.
"I guess... I'll have a rootbeer float," The Weavile then decided, placing the menu down on the table again.
"Lara, you should probably tell him what flavor you want~"

The Ralts frowned a bit.
She hated talking, it was such a nuisance.
Besides, her brother never talked...
But she knew that if she was going to get Lia off her case, she was going to have to speak sooner or later.
The Ralts was content just to point to the flavor of her choice on a menu and have Lia tell the waiter, but she knew the Azumarill would have none of that.
"... Vanilla..."

"Gotcha." The Snorunt didn't even bother to write down the order and he didn't seem to take any notice of what Lucy had said, though a quick but subtle glance from Lia seemed to indicate that she had. "It'll be just a minute. Machine's been giving us a bit of trouble lately but we'll get it to ya."
The Snorunt walked off with pen and paper in hand and seemingly not a care in the world is any significant desire to get anywhere fast, leaving the trio to themselves.
With nothing else to speak of, Lia let the conversation fall to silence.
She could, easily enough, bring the topic back up but there didn't seem to be much of a point and although the Azumarill knew of and quite a bit about Lucy, the two weren't really connected on a personal level so there wasn't much she could talk about.

Lara - Lucy

After what seemed like a week, Lucy turned her blue eyes down to Lara.
"So how have you been, Lara? Still locking yourself in closets?" The old Weavile asked.
Without missing a be Lara replied, "No."
It was a blatant lie that Lia could easily call.
The Ralts wanted to look good in front of Lucy, since she did look up to and admire the Weavile.
However, she wasn't really old enough to figure out that when you lie, some adults know you're lying.
Lucy smirked a bit, scratching her ear and glancing back to where the other Ice Pokemon were working.
"Well, that's good~"
Lucy was pretty damn certain that Lara was lying, as well.
Ralts normally had white skin, but hers was much paler than normal.
That girl hadn't seen sunlight in weeks.

"We've been getting out from time to time."
She didn't agree to the lie, but Lia chose not to oust it. She wouldn't be earning any favour with the child who sheltered herself so and, really, it was a fairly transparent lie to begin with. From Lucy's reaction it was rather obvious that it had been seen through as well.
Ah well, that was fine.
With nothing else to really say, Lia maintained her silence and waited for the waiter to arrive.
It wasn't long, only about a minute. Evidently the machines were working fine.
Between the Snorunt's two hands was a tray with two small stands and a root beer float. The stands, of course, held the ice cream cones.
