I agree kitana, some people are posting Nü-Metal bands as actual metal, when they aren't.
I'm proud I'm one of the true metalheads in here haha

Yeah I am pretty damn sure I know I didn't mention any metal band...but they are "Metal" bands...and I'm saying that cause that's what people call them. I think the are the most sad excuse to metal.. And to be honest I really like all metal..I think some are better than others and I don't exactly hate them..I hate the bands that are new that are getting considered metal in the eyes of many.... I only listen 1349, emperor, death, cannibal corpse, deicide, Novembers doom, Vital Remains, Immortal, Gorgoroth and more..So I guess if that's not metal...or considerably metal..I don't know what It is...Finally my statement to your comment me saying that was a big ******** you to the ones who call that sad excuse for music metal...But whatever... they have their opinions and we have ours. Also on a side note..I give you credit for speaking up about the new metal bands..but its still metal..though not as good of a kind..its more of what is making metal suck. But my question is really...can we say its not metal? I mean by today's standards...there are billions of sub forms of metal..but still metal. Metal is a vague form of saying a music genre..if you want to be specific about it...then you can go into sub forms such as power metal, death metal, nu metal and ect...but all in all..this can post whatever you want about metal...if you wanted a specific type they should have put it.

Kitana Saito You do realize that half of you are naming Nu-Metal or rock bands in this category? Mentioning them and actually acknowledging that they are Nu-Metal is ok..but listing them as if they are metal?...You need to brush up on your genres folks. Thrill Seeker- You are always poating something interesting. I admire you. I also am glad that you were one of the few that actually named a METAL band rather than some puss rock or Nu-Metal band. Well...now that I have that out..I think that the most pathetic METAL band is Lamb of God. I can't stand the lead singer's voice. He tries too hard and fails miserably. He shouldn't be roaring..bc it sounds really pathetic and wimpy even. No offense to the Lamb of God fans out there...but that is just my opinion. You can't expect everyone to like them (I am only going into detail with this because I want to cover things and place my arguement so someone who is a hardcore LOG fan wont get all postal and offended and start bitching at me because this kind of stuff happens all the time..what ever happened to the good old debates rather than arguements and closed minded jerks who think their opinion is fact and everyone else has no clue what they are talking about. I hate those kind of people) As other people have said before me nu-metal is metal. A rather poor kind at that, but metal none the less. That is most likely why some many people are listing it as bad. I agree with the rock statement and what you said about the vocals on LoG. That’s one of those bands that would be decent to listen to if they got a new lead singer. Also I hope you’re not pissed of at me because of our debate... I rather enjoyed it.

I like you guys...Lordian Guard..even though we had that HUGE fight in th Christian Metal thread...we get along in others bc we see eye to eye on some things...Luna DeLioncourt...I am glad you didn't get pissed at me for what I told you...but I am being 100% truthful when I tell you that Nu-metal isn't metal. I promise you. I would be willing to swear my life on it bc I know that it isn't metal. Nu is a latin word for NOT. For example. People who can't have salt...are told by their doctor to eat Nu-Salt. It looks like salt...tastes like salt..but is it salt? No. Same with Nu-Metal..It looks like Metal...sounds like metal (some of it)...but is it metal? No. Nu-Metal is Alternative rock with metal influences. It isn't metal. I promise. And if you check the rules ( I am not trying to get smart with you on this one) But it will tell you...and it was agreed on by ALL the regulars who first created this guild that Nu-Metal isn't metal and it is true bc if you look up nu-metal on wikipedia..you will find out. Or on any other site at that matter. B. Breeg same goes for you. No. I didn't get pissed I only get pissed if I am trying to have a debate with someone and they have no idea what they are talking about but still act as though they do. I love debates...I recently made a debate thread and I would very much appriciate it if people started to post there..I need a place where I can debate certain topics with people and them not get offended and them not try to offend people. I need debates with open minded people who are willing to accept other people's opinions. Sorry this was so long guys but as I said before...I love debates. I love voicing my opinion and I LOVE hearing other people's opinions on certain things. SO..feel free to post there I would much appriciate it! Thanks!

well Kitana..I tip my hat to you. You have got a point and I cant really argue it. I admit defeat..Well to make up for the crapy nu metal post..I guess I can put a band Im not to keen on up that is metal Mastodon. But I do tip my hat and admit defeat.
