"I'm not suggesting cooking. I'm merely suggesting a more creative manner of killing. But who am I to make such a bold proposition?" He paused a moment, considering exactly how to phrase his words. "As for the blood comment, you're very good. You'd be correct in guessing that I'm fifteen. Good thing too, I rather enjoy living. And thank you for saying my blood smells sweet. Its a unique compliment, and I find myself oddly flattered by such a distubing remark."

"I've done more creative manners... however, I was not in the mood for mental torture, or setting traps... and physical torture can ruin the meat, and unless you slit the vocal cords or gag them, they scream too much or they pass out. It's a way of life... not a hobby. Although, your welcome... humans can not usually smell blood unless it is in large amounts or very near by." Netvor shrugged his shoulders, "No more disturbing than stating any fact in general." Saying that, Netvor sat down at the base of the angel statue, his stark black and white figure against the marble statue. "I have all night, and you amuse me, boy."

((Just rented Sweeney Todd on iTunes. I found out I LOVE IT!))

"Well it's good that I amuse you, I suppose. I should stop worrying about you killing me, but I just can't seem to bring myself to such a comfort. So tell me, can you think of the number of... dishes you've served yourself off the top of your head, or have you lost track?"

"Can you recall how many meals you've eaten in your lifetime?" Netvor said simply and slighly smugly, shrugging his shoulders.

((I love it too, but for a real cannibal, that would be rather insulting, don't cha think?))

"Far too few. Far, far too few, dear Netvor," Seth said solemnly. "But you've made your point clear. You've had plenty. Just how, exactly, do you keep such a low profile while killing so many? You must draw some attention from the authorities."

"It's not like they could do anything." Netvor said with much ease, noticing a bit of dried blood under his fingernail, working on getting it out and cleaning the blood out from under his fingernails.

"Really now? Not to question your skill, but how is that?" he asked, curious. Am I actually becoming friends with this... thing? he thought. "Surely they've noticed the people going missing."

"People go missing all the time, people get killed all the time." Netvor said with a shrug. "They don't really care. Keep in mind, humans exist with three species that hunt them; lycans, vampires, and most of all, themselves. The media chooses one or two people every couple of months to shine the spotlight on when they go missing, however.... they ignore thousands of others who meet the same or worse fate. It's a game, pretending like they care when all it is to them is dirty laundry. Humans love tragedy." Netvor paused, "And as for a more personal answer to your question... the RCS is far too weak to do anything about it. They tried once, and since have just turned a blind eye to my crimes." He gave a slight laugh to this, almost sarcastic and forced. "People are too self-absorbed to notice anything that is happening around them, let alone to other people who live in the same world they do. They only start caring when the fear strikes that they might be next. It's a long answer for a short, 'humans don't care', isn't it?"

He nodded. "I guess that's to be expected, of course. So why haven't you killed me yet? Even if you won't eat me, I'm sure someone could think of a reason to slit my throat if they were in your position." He sat down on a headstone and looked up at Netvor. "But I guess that's a little egotistical of me, to assume you'd find a reason to involve me in your 'way of life,' is it not? Forget I ever asked. So, what are you, species wise?"

Netvor simply thought in his mind, this boy posed no threat to him. And although his blood smelled wonderful, Netvor liked his current eyes, and was quite full after what he ate before. "If you must know.... I'm part lycan, part nosferatu, and a little bit human, as well." There was no reason the boy needed to know this, however, Netvor did figure it might be found to be an interesting bit of information to add to their conversation. "In addition, I do not slit necks... too much blood is wasted that way, and the meat grows too cold too soon."

"That is something I didn't know. If I ever need to eat a person, I will keep that in mind," Seth said. He used a kind of playful sarcasm as he spoke, but he suspected that if he was in a life or death situation and cannibalism was called for, he would remember that. "So what exactly is a nosferatu? I've never heard that word before."

Netvor raised an eyebrow, and pausing, said in a slightly amused very slightly annoyed, mostly flat tone, "Vampire, boy." After saying that, he went back to getting the rest of the semi-dried blood out from underneath his fingertips.

"That's a strange term for vampire. Where does it come from, if you don't mind me asking?"
PostPosted: Mon Jun 14, 2010 8:06 pm

Netvor shrugged his shoulders again, finishing cleaning out his fingernails. . "That is the oldest name, given by humans, for the first vampire of that species. The term was coined by the humans in Romania several thousand years ago. The word itself is Slavic, and it translates into English as meaning 'undead'."

"Hm. That's interesting. So what kind of abilities does your bloodline leave you with? I'm sure that with lycan and vampire in your blood, you've got to have some interesting capabilities."
