Golden step!
*Kyla channels golden energy into her feet, which allows her to dash through the barrage of rockets unharmed. She shoots fireballs from Hien's tip back at Selene*

Kokujo dusted himself off from being thrown back and scowled at Selene. "Hmf......I guess some people just never learn their lessons, what a bother.....Selene" Kokujo muttered, examining Selene's new weaponry. New tools but the same personality as ever it seemed.
Corbenik tried to take on a serious pose next to Kokujo, mimicking his disgruntled scowl "Yeeeah.....Selene" There was a pause ".....Who the heck is Selene?" he then asked, breaking his Kokujo impression.

*Selene raises her blade arms and blocks the fire balls*
I am not to be taken so lightly! Try dodging these!
*She throws another metal sphere in the air, which shatters. The peices begin to float, tracking Kyla's movements and firing small laser shots at her. One of these things wouldn't be much of a problem, but Kyla has at least a dozen locked on to her movements.
While the new toys track Kyla, Selene fires two more rockets, trying to hit Kyla from both sides. She lunges in once more with the blade arms*

*Kyla does her best to avoid the laser blasts from the metal shards, but it's a bit like trying to dodge the rain. She does a decent job, but they track her so closely that the best she can do is avoid them as best as she can, and ignore the blasts that strike her. Kyla leaps up to avoid being caught by the rockets or Selene. She takes a great deal more damage from the metal shards, but avoids the stronger attacks. As she jumps, she shoots fire balls downwards, trying to catch Selene in her own trap*

 *Selene drops flat to the ground. She is, after all, an agile assassin. The rockets suddenly change their course and fly upwards at Kyla's fireballs. Selene dashes out of the way, while Kyla on the other hand will be caught between the explosion, and the laser beam rain of the floating shards*

eek Nyaaah!
*Kyla is trapped. She can't dodge in the air. The blast sends her flying into one wall of the barrier. She drops to the ground. It takes her a minute to stand, and when she does, a trail of blood drips from her mouth*

NO! I'll give you no such opportunity!!! *The floating shards fly towards Kyla. Each emmits a long beam of light, which is actually a laser beam capable of severing a limb. These beams fly just close enough to Kyla to trap her against the wall of the barrier. There's a wall behind her, and horizontal bars of hot laser death in front of her. There is no longer an opportunity to run*

*Selene laughs again, this time with triumph* Out of escape routes? Oh how I've dreamed of this moment. And I am going to savor every single second!! *She revs the chainsaw arm menacingly and begins walking slowly towards Kyla, just to draw out her agony*

*She turns her head as much as she can and shouts to her comrades*
Kold! Raiden! Kokujo! Whatever healing abilities you have....please prepare them now. This barrier will fall soon. When it does, I'm going to need you to hit me with every healing power you've got...I...I trust you with my life.
*She suddenly begins changing again*

*Kyla's phoenix familiar, Umbral stands where Kyla was standing moments before. He speaks with a voice which is a mix of his and Kyla's. It is Umbral's form, but Kyla is the one in command. The shackles which have always bound Umbral suddenly shatter. Dark wings appear around his ankles. Umbral/Kyla steps directly through the laser beams, unharmed*
I had hoped that I wouldn't have to use this until the fight with Yokoshima...but it'll make little difference if I don't survive here. It is over now Selene.

*Umbral/Kyla grabs Selene's arms, near the shoulders where there are no blades. She cannot move while Umbral/Kyla is holding her like this.*
This power? It's a power that the king of the Imagined World sealed away. A power that can be used but once...fortunatley with your barrier in place I can use it without worrying that the backlash might injure my friends. RAZING FLAME!!!
*A ball of black flame appears in between Umbral/Kyla and Selene. It expands, enveloping both of them. The flames soon swell and fill the entire barrier. The barrier itself flashes and flickers as an immense power bellows and howls within, swallowing the combatants. Then as suddenly as it appeared, the flames vanish, leaving Kyla (back in her regular form) and Selene barely standing in the center*

*Kyla staggers for a moment, then weakly swings her fist into Selene's gut*
Now...I release you at last from Yokoshima's grasp...
*Selene turns entirely to ash, and vaporises. Kyla herself drops to the ground. The attack basically turns the fight into a sudden death round. If Selene had struck Kyla first, then Kyla would be the sad pile of ash. As it is, her life hangs by a frail thread, and only the combined efforts of her comrades can save her*
