No, right after I posted that I started coming up with idea to make a Mando Jedi/Force User actually ******** work.
I know I'm an elitist, your just a bigger one. Its not exactly an insult. More of something one could be proud of themselves for. High standards are good.

There's also a number of other veritable ways it could work.
- he taps the force late, and is slowly ostracized by his clan, and joins the jedi in search of another brotherhood he can relate to.
- Shellshock leads him to realize a path of priest (classic soldier gone priest story)
- He joins the jedi to better understand the greatest oppoenent the mandos ever faced, so that he may fully understand his opponent and immerse himself in the hunt...
- Jedi find him, and strike a truce with the mandos, etcetera.
It's not realy that hard to rationalize the reasons, just highly unusual that a mando would fall into said context. Mando'ade is culture, and while unlikely, it's not like the two can't co-exist during specific timeframes...
-wearing armor
-speaking Mando'a
-defending themselves and families
-raising children as Mandalorians
-helping the clan succeed and sustain itself
-and when called to arms by the Mandalore, rally to his cause.
Of those, only the last one really might contradict the jedi code, and even that's debatable. The jedi wore armor, nothing says they can't speak other languages, defense is of course a big part (especially if they consider jedi family too), children were only banned during twilight council, the clan again is a diplomatic thing, same with mandalore.
I mean, Anakin somehow succeeded as a jedi, in lieu of his agressiveness... well, until RotS at least. but you catch my drift.

Yes those were all considered things that could rationalize it, and its a very good point, they can co-exist, but the fact is, they likely will not.
That, and the moment an actual profile comes back suggesting a Mandalorian Jedi, it gets fed to the wolves, as so.
There is also a way to do it the other way around. A Jedi becomes a Mandalorian. But that is effectively breaking away from the order and becoming a Grey Jedi.

The issue is not whether or not it's allowed to be rationalized, though. Just like with trying to rationalize a hutt and a human mating and having viable offspring, the concept is never "Can it be done" but "how far can you suspend your disbelief?" That's really the issue at hand. How much can you chew before you finally go "bleh" and spit it out?
I also think it relies on a person's extent to how "pure" the person must be to be considered jedi and mando. take the jedi shadows, for example. Some would claim they're not jedi at all either, but they still count as such for very finite reasons.
On a side note, i guess i'm also baised because we had the mando sith lord as our primary baddie before. Que oryo prime and his brother...

Anyhow, Rodyn, the planets you've posted as being apart of each faction, are they the only planets are allowing to be visited? And our the Sectors/Systems they are in considered also within that factions control?
