The battle raged on, and the sniper continued to fire arrow after arrow from a high location. There were some people with high evade and speed, and were able to dodge many of the arrows. It impressed him. But they weren't good enough.
Shento had sharp eyesight. He could see which enemies were open, where best to hit them; typical sniper skills, but on a somewhat escalated level. Scanning the field, he he came upon small figure with wings. To his surprise the figure suddenly transformed into a dragon, right before his very eyes... unbelievable. Shento jumped down, and raced to a closer peak. He aimed his bow steady, and it began to charge.
"...ten.... ...." Sparks flew. "....thirty..." Tiny screeches sounded. "... ..sixty..." The arrow began to shins brightly and increase exponentially in size. "....ninety...." It was almost time. He strengthened his grip, as he finally charged in all the way. "..one hundred percent output. Die... dragon."
He released the bow. The force pushed Shento back a couple feet, as the arrow soared almost at the speed of light down toward the dragon. It was on course. It would not stray.
There was no escape.

Ledreak's spear clung with Ephraim's, and he let it go, as the dark circles vibrated, or at least appeared to if anyone was looking. It landed on the ground, making the impact of quite a heavy object, at least a ton. Ground shook and separated for the lance. Ledreak looked at Ephraim, not the lance that belonged to him. "What?! What?! WHAT?! Your skills ain't s**t!" He shouted. He raised his arms to show emphasis. His afro shook in the wind.

" Maybe that's the reason why" "You can't ever fly..." Cαsτειιo "Take away the blue..." ______________ Castello spun in the air to face Fa as she suddenly transformed, and let out another of his infamous screams. His wings flared as he rose upward, and then he shot straight down, intent on destroying this enormous dragon with one fell swoop. Castello's sharp beak would easily be enough to pierce her scales, rip through muscle and tear through her neck.
He dropped to the right level, flared his wings, and turned them to move all his momentum straight at the dragon.
And then a massive arrow of lightning burst from his chest. His screech was cut short, with silence following as he slowly fell backwards, down and down...
He transformed in mid-air and crashed to the ground in his laguz form. His sanity returned as the life gushed out of him, holding the gaping hole in his chest with one hand as blood spread out beneath him.
He coughed, feeling blood seeping around his lips. "N-no..."

Misura looked at Isadora, eyes showing no emotion for a moment. Then, with one hand, she pushed at the front of her helm, sliding it aside to reveal her face. She didn't say anything for a moment, then Misura gave Isadora a sad, sad smile. "I can't," she said softly. "That isn't something I'm able to do." The General moved, touching her blade to Isadora's gently, in a traditional fighting stance. "I have no doubt that this will be my last battle. So please... would you give me one last honorable duel?"
She didn't wait for an answer; instead she began her attack, blade swishing through the air towards Isadora. There was no longer any intent to kill; this was simply a battle, pure and simple. Just a way to pass the time... she would die soon. She didn't doubt it any more. It would be better than this. Better than having to keep fighting, against those that she must finally admit did not deserve this. She continued to smile that sad smile, a wistful look in her eyes. These people... had a family. And it seemed that... their family was closer than her own. Jyoti... I'm sorry. Please come back to me before the end...

Seeking hope in an unknown land......within the despair all around... _____________________ He brought his other tome out of his pocket. He didn't even need to open it - Elwind was his ancient love's favorite spell, and he had memorized the spell. Wind howled around as thunder echoed through the sky. Loch had chosen to open Thoron to its normal casting for this attack, combining the might of the spells. He spoke softly. "Thunder and Wind...combine once again...end of days...show her the error of her ways."Lightning struck the ground, incinerating a circle around the two. Blades of wind soared madly, nicking the both of them. The air was eerie, disturbed, ominous... The sheer force of electricity set the ground on fire around them, ensuring their battle would not be disturbed. The flames danced as the wind fed them. Loch landed, folding his wings behind him. He crossed his arms, tomes in both hands. "Erupt from the sky, children of gods! Show her your true might!"Thunder rocked the air as the clouds grew dark. The wind twisted madly. A gleam of sadness showed in Loch's eyes as he spread his wings and soared at her. _____________________ I search for happiness, whatever it takes.

" Nooooo!" Fa thought as she saw the arrow come by. Then Fa was pushed down by Castello and she saw Castello killed by that snipers shot. "Castello!!!" she shouted even though he tried to kill her. Fa felt bad that he was taken down by his own ally. Fa transformed back and the dragonstone broke and she can still use light magic. She swooped down and hugged the man as he laid there Dying. "Thank you soo much. Im sorry..." Fa whispered in his ear as he died.

Lance coughed. His body was at its limits, and it didn't need any more excitement like this. He closed his eyes, but opened them quickly as he was pulled upwards and placed in Annis' arms like a princess getting rescued by a prince. She spoke to him, but Lance didn't quite understand. "What...what do you mean, I don't get IIIIIIIIT~!"
The two of them left the ground and Lance was chocked at that he was now up in the air, flying a bit above the ground. He thought it was weird that she lifted him up that easily, too...
No, that's not what was the weirdest.
Lance was completely flabbergasted. During his life, he couldn't remember a single a single time (a trick statement, Lance hardly remembered anything) that he had been swept off his feet like this. Lance would always have something else to say. A new witty remark. A secondary plan. Improvisation and ad-libbing. But this time, he didn't. He was completely astounded. He didn't object or protest, or commenting on how a scrawny girl like her could lift him, or anything else. He was completely silent. He found himself staring at the woman's face. He weren't about to go over the top and say she was the most beautiful woman he had ever met, but somehow...he felt himself strangely attracted to her. She finally laid him down on the ground, but Lance still couldn't tear his eyes off her. He still hadn't raised a voice to her for a moment...
That is, until he felt a tug at his muscle shirt. "W-w-w-w-w-whurgh?!"
Lance sat up quickly and edged away even quicker, and his back hit the trunk of a tree, and he was leaning to it as he finally found his voice. "W-w-what do you think you're doing?!"
He realized what he was saying, and collected himself before he spoke back again. "I mean, wait! I appreciate the help and all, but we just met! Barely a minute ago! Even if you're helping, you shouldn't start stripping someone who's not your friend yet! So..." Lance leaned forward and then sat onto his knees. "My name is Lance Dartel. I'm born the first day in the month of the Dancer. I work as a Talent-for-Hire, selling various services of different types. I like entertainment in general, but mostly gambling and dancing."
As he finished, he bowed, before he motioned to her. "Your turn." he said as he smiled, mostly because he had finally been able to talk back.

Soren gazed up as a sparking arrow shot into the feral raven. He watched impassively, his energy ebbing away as the dragonstone's blessing waned. When Castello hit the ground, Soren stood and approached the laguz, walking slowly and shakily, staring down at the man. He didn't appear to be of a threat, but looks were deceiving.
Soren took a moment to check where Fa was. She was unharmed. He glanced to the back of the battle where the shooter, the legendary Dragon's Bane, stood with no one to challenge him.
And then Soren glanced down again at the raven. Bleeding, helpless... A dying man usually had something to say. Soren would give him that grace...if he had anything to say. Instead, he sent off a stray Elwind to take care of a few morphs that a group was having trouble with.

He couldn't move. He couldn't blink. No... impossible! It.. could be. Why was he there?! Why did he get in the way?! But.. Shento fired it. He fired the weapon that killed Castello. He killed his comrade. One of the worst things a soldier could do, and in the end, no matter how good he was, he had committed this horrible sin.
Castello was one of the first people he met when he arrived in this world. Teifi was the other. Despite not being able to talk, they opened up to him, and Teifi helped him learn the modern speech. Castello was always the most friendly one to him. All of the heroes were like a family, but Castello was very much like a brother. [Ledreak, like their black adopted brother] For him to now be gone.. it wasn't fair. It wasn't right! He didn't deserve to die!
Shento's legs were weak beneath him, but he could not move. Even in a battle, he couldn't help but leave himself open. Anybody could walk up to hit him, without him noticing. He just stared at his friend's body. Too scared to openly express, but also scared to hold it, thus colliding internally. He just couldn't believe it... Castello was dead.
".... ...Cas...tello...!"
It was all his fault.

Madriana picked Mika up. As Mika was still young, it was easy for the morph to handle picking her up. Where do I go? Where do I go?
She headed towards the cave. "Soren? We have to get her out of the battle before someone decides that the one that can control those people would be a wonderful target!"
A hint of humor had crept into her voice. Where did THAT come from?
Mika blinked her eyes halfway open. "N-n-nnn....no... Fight... For Loki... We have to fight for Loki, don't take me in... there..."
Mika spoke. Mika spoke! That makes me happy... She's ok... Mika is alright... Madriana saved Mika! I did it! Look what I did, I am good~ Madriana looked back at Neros. "She said that we need to fight for Loki... what does that mean? Soren what should we do?"

Well, that was weird. Annis just stared, hands hovering in the air, as Lance edged away from her, whacking right into a tree. Moron. "I'm trying to keep you from bleeding to death, idiot, so if you don't mind, you'll have to take those bandages off. Goodness, man, I'm not raping you or something."
He didn't seem to get it, though. "I mean, wait! I appreciate the help and all, but we just met! Barely a minute ago! Even if you're helping, you shouldn't start stripping someone who's not your friend yet! So... My name is Lance Dartel. I'm born the first day in the month of the Dancer. I work as a Talent-for-Hire, selling various services of different types. I like entertainment in general, but mostly gambling and dancing."
Annis approached him again, and without another word, tugged his shirt up around his ribcage and unwrapped the bandages from around his wound. She yanked the cork off of her Vulnerary with her teeth and began to apply the medicine to his wound. "Annis. I'm Annis. There's not exactly time to talk, you know." She finished rubbing in the salve, then let him re-wrap his stomach, now that the bleeding had halted and the wound was starting to seal up again.
"You should probably get out of here," Annis told him, approaching the edge of the trees. She pushed back a branch to see, still addressing Lance, though her eyes were on the fight. "If you're injured, you--"
She froze. An arrow flying. An arrow piercing. The target falling. The arrow had been angled at that large goose-like dragon, but it was not she that the arrow struck. It was the huge raven that now wore an arrow's shaft through his heart, falling to the ground before reverting to humanoid form as he crashed, the arrow having continued its path and flew away, leaving behind a hole in Castello's torso.
Her chest seized up, and air caught in her throat. There was no doubt this time. No... NO!
"Castello!" Annis' blood pulsed in her ears as she rocketed across the battlefield. She narrowly avoided a discharge of electrical power as she passed another duel; she wasn't paying attention. Her eyes were on Castello, coughing up blood as he lay weak on the ground.
Annis' eyes focused on Castello's face as she knelt next to him. One hand went to his face, cupping his cheek. "You... you idiot...!" she managed out. Annis pushed his pompadour free of his forehead, shaking her head from side to side just a little. "Why'd you have to... you... can't die... You weren't allowed to die, dammit...!"

A small, delicate flower, fluttering in the breeze...... A petal, claimed by a gentle wind, floats away... ☼ JYOTI ☼ ¤▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬¤It was Antaram versus the combined powers of Elwind and Thoron. Jyoti showed no fear, though her empty hand was clenched tightly and trembling. This was it. After this, she'd have nothing left. It was taking a lot of her strength to keep up her light spell even now, trying to keep it alive as the spell got closer and closer to Loch...
Antaram's petals were torn to shreds when they met the blades of wind. There was nothing that she could do. Running was impossible. Fighting was impossible. It was clear that Jyoti was going to lose.
So... she smiled.
"This... is the end, isn't it?" Jyoti spoke softly, looking at Loch. "... Then so be it. But please... Please, let me be with Misura. Let me spend my final moments next to my love. It's all I ask..." Her eyes closed and her hands relaxed, her grip on Antaram so loose that she was barely holding on to it. Death was coming, and she had no intention to resist it.
She could not see the sadness in his eyes as he came right at her...¤▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬¤... Detached from its home, destined to wither and die alone in an unknown land.

"s**t s**t, not good" he was WAY in over his head and that clash was NOTHING to this person and Ephraim knew that because he barely even flinched. "s**t..think!" nothing in the entire world could probably get him to come up with a solution. Still, he had to try. "Maybe not..but I can sure as hell try" yes, try. All isn't lost and neither was this battle. It had only just begun.
Ephraim stood up from the ground, pulling his leg a little behind him before he charged at the afro man once more. Weapons clashed one more and Ledreak had the upper hand (as usual).
Come on Ephraim, pull yourself together!
His right foot was firmly planted to the ground and even then, he was forced back a little. Sparks emitted from the shaft of both lances and Ephraim tried once more.
1..2..
With a little force, Ephraim succeeded in knocking Ledreak off balance.
"Now!"
He gripped his spear lunged himself at his opponent.

Melethia entered the battlefield and looked at the battle that was going on. Her eyes though stopped on Shento. He was not moving. She knew he was a target now. She knew that the others were going to get him now. She started running to Shento as fast as she could. She wasn't about to let him die. Even if it ment causing the end of the world as we knew it. She wasn't going to let Shento die.

There. Vika was kneeling right over there, everyone was too busy fighting to attack her. That was good. Neros felt his consciousness fading in and out. Perhaps it was better to retreat, they did what they came for, he was exhausted...
"She said that we need to fight for Loki... what does that mean? Soren what should we do?"
He blinked hard and furrowed his brow. "Loki... Loki?"
Mother Ashera told us about Loki before I'd left...he was the one who...
Slowly, Neros turned around. "Fight...for Loki? Why...? He was the one who destroyed your family... He was the one who gave your grandmother her power and let her kill you... He was..."
Granny N. That's who he had sensed!
Neros suddenly flared and whipped back around, trying to shield Madriana from the enemy's view, glancing through the battlefield again for a sign of Granny N — she had a name, Neros just didn't remember what Mother Ashera said it was (and he'd get back at Ashera later, right now they had another god to deal with). He hadn't noticed one of the Heroes had fallen. No, he wasn't taking sides on the battlefield, he was supposed to have fulfilled his own interest and Vika's interest. That was all.
