Gossamer gave an uneasy smile. "I know of one...but I doubt we're on the same side of the law."

Joker chuckled a little. "Did I say we go about it LEGALLY? A little extortion usually does the trick."

"The guy I'm thinking of is not someone you want to be on their bad side." she said with a small grin.

Joker's trademark smile returned to his face. "You say that like I care about such things..."

Gossamer smirked a little and shrugged. "I certainly wouldn't want to get into a tangle with him anyway. Unless of course the fates (or writers) are feeling gracious."

"Very good point," Joker replied, "Maybe we should try to pay them off..."

"Easier said then done I suppose." Gossamer said, taking a quick glance back over at the other two.

"Everyone has a price..." Joker said, which he followed by facing nowhere in particular, and continuing with, "...Isn't that right, Rob?"

Gossamer smirked a bit. She wouldn't know who to talk to anyway. Though Joker might.

Robin Robin turned her head to look at him. "Your asking someone who died to save everything she loved weither people have a price?..." she grit her teeth. "You who would sell everyone around you for your life, to save yourself from pain, hell even a whim...you are asking me if everyone has a price...no no they don't...that is just you...your the one that puts such a low price tag on life." Robin grit her teeth more half expecting him to slap her or react. He had hit her soft spot so to speak. He had tried to say that people didn't care for other people. He had said that what she had done wasn't worth it. He had said Tim and her bat family ment nothing. The family she so greatly wanted to be part of wasn't worth the time. She wouldn't sit by as he said that.

Deathstroke glanced at Robin, seemed to contemplate doing something painful to her, then shook his head and moved back to the subject at hand. "Last known location? It doesn't matter, but it'll speed things up."

"Gotham," Lex replied succinctly. He'd also considered doing something to the girl for the idiotic comment, but he decided against it.
Joker had intended to tell Robin that he wasn't talking to her, he was talking to his script writer, but she had left herself open so well that he couldn't resist. He gave her a sickeningly sadistic grin, and said, "Yep, about eighty-two cents, which is the approximate unit price of each bullet in my guns! HA HA! Now, I wouldn't sell people to save me from pain, because it would be futile. I live with pain as an ever-faithful companion of mine. On a whim, however, I'm guilty as charged! But I don't have a price, per se. I'm not a gun for hire. I have few people in my life I care about, and none of them are people anyone would want to mess with, either. Therefore, no one can get to me the way others get to you. But everyone DOES have a price. Jason Todd's mother had a price when I had her prepare poisons to take the place of medical supplies, and when she betrayed her son to me. Hush took advantage of that to get the people he wanted help from in his first bid to take down the Bat. But even if money is turned down, EVERYONE WANTS SOMETHING. A girl wonder like yourself should know that. You'd probably do almost anything I ask if it would, I don't know, keep the other members of the Bat family from harm. That would be your price. Your something. Everyone has it. The question is whether or not it's what you're looking for. Bats would've done anything to save Jason. Gordie would've done anything to protect Barbara and Sarah. You say you care about people... Who would you do anything for? The Dork Knight? The Boy Blunder? Heh heh heh heh heh heh..."

"Right," Deathstroke replied, nodding, then he turned to the Joker. "All of the above. Which is why you will not kill her, maim her, break her, or otherwise screw up my chance to use her as effective bait for a real Robin." The implication of what would happen if Joker chose to disobey didn't really need to be stated. Without another word, the mercenary left.

"Oh, if only he had stayed longer," the Joker mused, "He'd have know that I had made the same plan myself, albeit while getting to remove an ear... Hehehehehehehehe..."

Robin Robin cut her eyes thin. "You assume to much...You assume that you can use me for information because you threaten me, or you assume they will come to my rescue, well they didn't last time why would they this time?" She yelled back. She was amazed that she had attracted so much attention just by responding. "No one comes to save a girl when she's already dead and morned for." she said as she grit her teeth she was half ready for a strike, maybe a back hand or a slap. She could take a little abuse if it kep them distracted. She hoped somewhere out there Robin was alright. She wondered if Robin was Tim. She hope he wouldn't come to save her if it ment he would get hurt. She knew she would barge in, she had barged in to save bats and look where it got her.
