"Cheeky thing," she said and gave him a light tap on his very cheek. Teagan did think it was something odd, though, that he would be so heartbroken and stay longer because of her. So, she just thought of it as her being pretty was a perk to them being friends.

"You better steer clear of the troublesome girls in town who would latch on to you and never let you go. They see a musician and just swoon."
Teagan, despite her playfulness, wanted Richard back in the house. She didn't know what to do with Nat then. A heartbroken thing with no money and no real plan of what to do in life... that she could see. Maybe she was hoping for something way over her head.

Nat smiled shrugging. "Nah, not many a girl has stuck with me for very long...only Roxy seemed like she actually took me for what I was and loved it..." He shrugged, shaking his head.

To keep the situation from getting more awkward though, Richard did reappear as if on que, complaining of a grumbling stomach.

Teagan was incredibly thankful for Richard's reappearance. She laughed as if all they'd been talking about was light-hearted and enjoyable, and as if she wasn't truly worried about Nat.

"Well, look at you, getting a tan," she said to Richard. "City lights and glamour don't do that, now, do they?"
Teagan began cleaning up the counter with a wet cloth as everything squared away their meals. She hoped that Lorey wouldn't mind her babying the men while she was away, as she wasn't trying to steal Richard.

*imma fast forward them. xD*

Richard had been gone for just a day, he and Nat growing close over the past few weeks. He had even asked if he'd be in his wedding which shocked Nat, but he agree if Richard's Lorey was ok with it.

Meanwhile, he was keeping things up and running, finishing last minute touches with Richard's fury little friend Enty.

But Enty for the day, had gone into town to check on some orders he had put in. Nat was slightly on edge for some reason, having a bit of artists block. He figured he'd fix that since there was no one around anyhow. He went out back to the little shed, where no one would smell his stash from the house, only f they came outside for the time he was in there.

He had been addicted to various substances over the years, but finally settled on one in particular, very similar to Earth's Marijuana. It was a bit different in that it gave a different feeling as well as lasted a bit shorter, but was smoked just the same.

Lucky little Nat was going to be paid a visit, though, by none other than Teagan. She was carrying a few forms in the hopes that whoever was home could get ahold of Richard while he was away. She'd completely forgotten to ask him for his number.

Once, twice, she knocked on the door, but not a soul moved inside the house.
"Well, this is odd," she thought. "Almost always someone's at home, but not a soul to answer the door..."
One last effort was given to get anyone to notice she was there, but finally she relented. Maybe they were out back.

As she rounded the corner of the house, her little sundress flowing in the breeze, Teagan thought she could make out someone singing.
"Richard? Nat?" she called out to the empty yard. "Anyone home?"

Nat was just inside the little shed, sitting on a over turned pot, ironically smoking pot. He had his guitar in arm, strumming away slowly but steadily, singing a pretty little song, not even hearing Teagan's calls.

Though somewhat luckily, only a little smoke remained and lingered ever so slightly around him as he continued playing.

Teagan followed the noise into the shed. The faintest, strangest smell hung in the air around it, but Teagan didn't think anything of it, really. If anything, she thought it may have been something they were using on the house.

"Nat?" she said as she swung open the door. And there he was, looking stoned and relaxed in his seated position with his guitar. Teagan, though, looked hardly relaxed. Her expression turned from curious to slightly murderous in seconds.

"After all that man has done for you..." she growled. The young woman stepped inside and smacked the top of Nat's head with the papers in her grasp. "Get out of this shed at once, you hear me!?"

Nat looked slightly shocked she was there, though his face was still a bit relaxed. "Woah woah! Calm down there missy! You just need to ...just....relax...." He tried to calm, standing, letting his guitar hang around his neck. He stuffed his stash into his pocket. "I'm not doin' anything wrong honey, ecspecially to Richard. There's no damage done. I haven't trashed anything or nothin'...." He tried to reason, honestly not knowing why she was freaking on him so much.

Teagan got very close to his face so her angry eyes were piercing into his bloodshot ones.
"When I tell you to jump, you jump, and when I tell you to move, you move. And when I tell you to get the hell out of this shed like your stoned a** is on fire, you run!"

Teagan took his guitar strap in her hand and gave a sharp tug forward as she moved back. He smelled like whatever he had been smoking, and it made her stomach churn a bit. Teagan hated the smell of drugs.

Once she was out in the sunlight again, her angry green eyes flashed once more in his direction.
"I cannot believe you would bring drugs on his property! If they find traces of it here, Richard and Lorey could lose everything, you hear me!? Everything! And after they got their dreams together, after all they've been through, and you're pulling this s**t while their backs are turned!"

He gave her a dirty look, making his way out of the shed, just shaking his head. "I...I dont know where you get off... telling me what to do...." He mumbled, trying to regain some fluency. "But I can do whatever the hell I want to do, whenever I damn please!" He got back in her face. "I've never left a spec behind, never gotten anyone blamed for my own doin'! You dont know me!" He growled, pulling his guitar from around his neck and just staring her back down as well.

"You're right, Nat, I don't know you! Bringin' your bleeding heart to Druis to try and heal and all your doin' is sitting here smoking and not even trying to fix your problems."
Teagan did not budge an inch from where she stood. If one thing could be said about Teagan, it was that she never backed down from anything or anyone simply because she had a tremendous temper. Her fast words kept flowing once she was properly started.

"What are you doing to fix what's broken, Nat, huh? You say you've been traveling to get away, but it's followin' you everywhere!"
PostPosted: Thu Jul 30, 2009 1:01 pm

"What are you talkin' about!? I am getting away, I am fixed! I AM FINE!" He was practically screaming at her, though there was a terrible sadness behind those pretty greenish brown eyes.

"I'm just doing what I've been doing my whole life, before I met Roxy, Before I met you, and I'm JUST FINE!" His eyes almost seemed watery. "I'm....fine...." His words softened and trailed off as he deterred his eyes away from hers, feelings this horrible feeling deep down. One he had never felt before...was it...shame? Shame that she had caught him smoking? That had never bothered him before. He never felt guilty for just lighting up.

"No, you're not, you stubborn..." Teagan was yelling at him as well. they were both so charged and ready to practically take swings at the other, so she forced herself to calm down. Nat wouldn't change for her. She was sure of that.

"Guess I can't teach an old dog new tricks. But I can beat the dog, can't I? So come on. Get your sorry hide away from that shed and over to my house where I can boss you around and make you talk about what's really going on here."
Teagan turned upon her heel and began walking towards the gate that led to the front of the house. She didn't even turn her head to see if he was coming along.
All she said was a little, "Come on then!" and kept walking.

Teagan felt a strange need to help him. Her heart told her it was right, though she'd stopped listening to it several times about other men. It always seemed to be wrong.
But this time? Teagan was almost sure something good might happen.

Nat just watched her walk off, then, as if without thinking, he followed. Whether it being the fact he was sill a bit stoned, or something more- ... He felt he just had to follow her.

Though he said nothing. He just kept to himself, slipping his guitar around his back as he followed.

~~~~~~~~
Nat had spent most of the night hardly sleeping at all. He merely stared up at the ceiling of the guest bedroom, thinking. He had a lot on his mind, mostly Teagan. He was partially angry, partially guilty, partially confused. But it was all enough to keep him up all night. Even when the first rays of dawn came through his window, he hardly flinched.
