Shoku Yagami Yeah. I like it whenever it's about 100°F (About 40°C I think) here, and when people come to vist they start saying it's sooo~ hot. It usually makes me giggle. I don't think that I could be able to get use to the cold, though. The heat doesn't bother me that much, but I don't really like the cold. Or the snow. I really can't stand the snow. I'd take rain any day. I have a family member from Italy and he says that it's really pleasent there, the weather and all. I wouldn't mind visting there one day, but the airline tickets are really expensive. DX That's hot! I'm pretty much used to the coldness, but it still bothers me. But sometimes I feel too hot when it's about 20°C... People are different. There's snow up to my waist here now, and I'm just fine with it. It can get a little wet though, if I take a step off the road. We were about to go to Italy when we were to Germany on holiday, but then we figured it'd've been a too long way to drive. It would've been nice. I might start studying Italian next year. smile

I can't stand it when it's ten centimeters off the ground! It rarely ever snows here, about once every four years. When it does snow everthing kind of shuts down, because everyone wants to be with their kids. XD I've heard that Italian is like a combination of French and Spanish. It sounds a lot like Spanish in my opinion. Just out of left field here, but do you know any American sterotypes? I know a whole bunch for Europe, but I've never heard any for Americans. Besides that we are lazy and stupid, that is. XD

Up to my knees isn't that much,, once when I was small ad we went to northern Finland, there was snow up to my shoulders biggrin I think I was six or something. I like snow. We'll sleep in a tent this weekend, we've got a scouts camp. There'll be a stove in the tent (it's a big tent with about ten people sleeping in there), and we'll take turns taking care of the fire so it won't be too hot or too cold. Once a friend if mine, Jasmiina, and her friend Mirikli, warmed the stove so hot no one could sleep and then left the tent and it got all cold. Hmm, stereotypes.. Well, they say there're lots of fat people, and Americans eat lots of junk food. And they smile like crazy, showing all of their teeth. And watch lots of TV. And their schools are very strict and they're patriotic. That's what I've been told, anyway.

They say 1 in 3 people in America are fat, and if you don't watch TV or play video games it's hard to have a nice conversation in America. But only some people smile like that. Most like to just move our mouths. Our schools aren't that strict I think. We have to ask to do a lot of things, like sharpen our pencils, get water, use the bathroom, etc. but that's all. As long as we're not late to class o making out we can do whatever in the hallways.

Yea, I didn't really believe in that myself. I mean, it was taught to us at school, and our geography books are like ten years old. But whoa, that just made me sure that america isn't a place for me. The other reasons except having to watch TV are stuff liki there are tornados and earthquakes n stuff. And that the big cities there are too big for someone that's grown up in such a little village like the one where I live. xp By the way, today when I went to school there was -28,5 degrees celsius. My ears nearly dropped off, but otherwise I was just fine, since it wasn't very windy.

@iPod, Okay just checking. I myself don't have any money for my iPod either. Luckily, my friends and I have a common taste when it comes to music, so we all trade CDs. XD
@Raccoon, Yep. See, that's why the only European country I could live in is Greece or southern Italy. Nice and warm there. I've just realized today how stupid Americans could be. I have a Union Jack beanie, and this kid in my science class said, "Dude, Britain sucks. They bombed us." I stared at him for a couple of seconds then told him that bombs -good, real bombs- hadn't even been invented when we fought Britain. rolleyes

I have never met one, but I've heard about the stereotypes. Like in hetalia, America's World Map... He's more awesome than Prussia in some ways. ...On the other hand, I've heard that all Japanese people don't know that the people from the West don't know how to eat with chopsticks.. So yea. Weird people exist. And Finnish politicians pronounce English like Finnish. I nearly die of shame listening to them. I mean, they're adults, but I think I probably could speak better English than them...

Over here people speak Spanish as well as English, and I can't stand it when people who aren't Hispanic try to speak it. It sounds terrible! They speak it like English, but your supposed to run your words together. They make it sound so stupid. And if you don't mind me asking, what's your grading system over there? I heard it was different in Germany, so I got currious...

But I think it's a great thing they want to learn our language, Finland being such a small country and the language being like it is, with all the different dialects and hard-to-understand grammar... Plus the pronouncing, it's almost silly how hard it's for foreigners when we see it as the most straight-forward one of all. Grading system, like in school, you mean? (I still ain't so good at English...) The grades go from four to ten, for some weird reason, and then there's grades like 8+, 8-, or 8½. That's for Elementary and Junior High, and then there's some letters in High School, but I dunno so much about that. Also, in Elementary school, we had some 1 to 5 thing about if we behave well or not. What kinda system do you have?

Not mutilation of a language, but just an ACCENT. I've always wondered what people think about American accents, because we are always saying how much we love Australian accents, British accents, etc. Yep~ In school is exactly what I meant... But that sounds very, very confusing. Ours is 0 to 100, 0 being the worst and 100 being the best. It doesn't change in all of our years in school. Thankfully, because were it any harder people wouldn't understand it.

Thankfully, because were it any harder people wouldn't understand it. I think it's kinda neutral about accents. Then again, most of us probably don't like the slightly weird Finnish Swedish accent. Dialects are something we love, though. I speak in a mix of the Eastern Finnish Savo and Karjala dialects (Karjala is the part we lost to Russia in the WW2, my dad's parents come from there), and the southern Helsinki dialect. About English accents then, they're interesting! Like the 'r' in the British accent! I heard some Australian English in a TV show lately, too, but it's not very clear to me what it's like. I guess it depends on what you get used to. I like our grading system. I usually get 8's of everything. 7's or 6's of math, 10+'s of English. England is an interesting place, by the way. All those old, red brick houses make me believe that ghosts actually exist! (Well, not quite.) Now I understand why the english people believe in fairies n stuff!
