"I'm not sure I haven't had an injury like this before, though I don't often fight with those with a magical advantage over me." She continued to hold her head with one hand, human medication wouldn't help her and she doubted she could go to Heaven or Hell for an explanation on the matter, seeing as either place would say her only solution was death.
"You say Jarlaxel is hurt? What happened, I know he was drunk but I do faintly recall his battling improving. Can I see him? Oh..and nice to meet you, uh Jarin"

I follow with my mind thinking on its own plane of existence. What would we do if the bar was attacked again? Surely the cops would be there faster. And what if they came with more force? There is a lot of Wolfgangs they can choose from, all with good magical capabilities. I don't think we could fight them off again, maybe if Jarlaxle recovered fast enough, but even then... I shake my head out of it as we approach the assassin's door.

I shrugged and went on with the conversation though it was most likely over. "Yeah an assassin has to have alot of hideouts, this is one in 32 in the city. The Fold gives to its members pretty generously when they are good enough. He did only almost survive, his situation is not going to get worse though we can't really take him to a doctor, I don't like giving the police too much reason to want me dead. Bringing in a half-dead drow with bite and claw marks all over him that would be obviously a kitsune to anyone that knew what one was would be a little too strange not to act as a beacon for officers.

"So this" She pointed to the large cut, "was Vincent's doing? You are both sure there is not magic preventing his healing correct?" She was worried, but with her body trying to heal itself she wasn't sure that she would have the ability to try to heal Jarlaxel too.
"There is nothing more either of you can do?" She was worried, deeply.
Damn magic it's hard to fight but so useful for healing. We could certainly use a magical ally right now..

I started regaining consciousness slowly but couldn't really get a hold of my surroundings. "ugh. . . whats going on. . . is kahlan okay?" I asked still not realizing who was around me or where i was. I cringed. My wound didn't feel any better. In fact it almost felt worse. I tried to prop myself but quickly fell down again.

I do so, and find it fairly easy enough, and return as fast as I can. I kneel next to him and then make sure he is ready. "Stay still." I thread it and then get to work. "I have no pain killers, but your a tough boy right?" I stick it in and start the procedure. I get down fairly quick, and then inspect it. "It'll hold for a good while, no rough housing or hard activity, else you will break it open again." I warn him.

She allowed him to take her hand and felt him tense every time the needle went in and out of his skin. "Yeah luckily I was knocked out before I could get slashed open like you."
She tried to think of anyone in any of the worlds she visited that might be able to help them, only two of them were in any condition to fight and she was positive they wouldn't be given time to recover. She still hadn't figured out what was wrong with her head.
Wait. there was one world, one that was surprisingly open to other races, and full of healers. One creature in particular, he couldn't help them fight but he could get them healed in time...
"Jarlaxel, Jacques I need to take a trip, and well you're going to have to come with me. I'll try to be gentle but there is a chance this will open up your wound again.. if I am successful though there is a world of creatures that live to heal wounds like that."

I llook at them. "What would I do to help Kahlan?" I say with a curious face. "And Jairn, I doubt you would mind staying here and behaving?" I smile wryly at that. "Nah, I say you come along, we need all the help we can get, right?" I nod with that. "And, you know, I am starving!" I make a sign at my stomach. "Before we do anything, we eat..."
