Tilting her head she looked at Asher curiously. " What do you mean?" She took a small bite of her own pie and chewed it thoughtfully. " Hmm, I over cooked it by about 2 minutes....you can taste it in the crust.... and I need to use a little bit less juice, not much, maybe a 1/4 of a cup." She trailed off as she looked a Asher.

He quirked his eyebrow. "I mean how do you cook this well. And two minutes over cooked? Too much juice? How can you tell all that so easily. It tastes amazing to me..." He shook his head in wonder. "Do you ever find your own cooking amazing? Oh! By the way, why were you hiding your sandwich the other day at the picnic?"

She chuckled " goodness your mind bounces all around doesn't it!" Softly she patted his paw. " Yes I enjoy my cooking very much....and I cook this well and am critical of it because of lots and lots of practice and hours slaving over a hot stove. As for hiding my sandwich....I don't think I was. I just made it before we left so that I would have time to focus on making sandwiches for everyone else."

Asher grinned. "Oh, okay. I didn't think it was that random, it was only yesterday and it pertained to food. Anyway, I don't recall if you ever told me who taught you to cook? It's hard to imagine someone being better at this than you."

"Ah, I see." She blushed a bit. " As for learning how to cook, I mainly taught myself. I started making things out of recipe books, trial and error, and playing around with ingredients to see what I liked."

Asher nodded. "Ah, right, you had told me that before. Is cooking the only thing you use trial and error?" He ate some more of his pie, doing his best not to inhale it, before sipping some more at his lemonade. "You are WAY better than professional chefs at restaurants! Have you ever thought of getting a job in food preparation? Or would that destroy some of your adoration for it?

"Well, if you think about it, alot in life is about trial and error. Music you try notes, and you practice, sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. With friends you try different things, same deal. I've thought about working at a resturant, but i'd be too tempted to improve or change things....everything probably!" She laughed.

Smiling, he responded with, "I see your point. Ever think of starting your own restaurant then? It would be very successful, you know." He finished off the rest of his pie and sipped at the remainder his lemonade. "That was excellent, thank you again, love."

Blushing scarlet she thanked him. " I've thought about setting up a cafe or something, the start-up capital wouldn't be an issue with Luna's gifts.... I'm just not sure I'd like trying to teach others to cook and having to cook as a job. I prefer cooking for those that I love. But I've thought about it."

Asher nodded. "I see. Well, as long as you enjoy doing what you do it's worth it, no need to change anything." He kissed her paw. So, fair maiden, what's next? Chatting? Dancing? I did say I'd give you swimming lessons sometime. I'd ask to be shown how to cook better, but I believe you've done plenty of baking for today." He was becoming whimsical and giddy off the sugary deliciousness.

Nastara laughed softly, " Asher, you really are quite precious! But I think you are trying to fit too much into a day." She dropped her head to look down at the ground. " I certainly don't want this day to end, but the family will be home soon, and it is getting late......" She lifted a paw to motion west where the sun was starting to set.

His ears drooped slightly at her mention of the time and such, but they perked back up as he recalled he had asked her to be with him the next day. "Am I still taking you with me to... to-morrow?" He had almost mentioned where he was planning on taking her, but he had stopped himself since he wanted it to be a surprise (and hopefully a good one).

Nastara's face brightened at the mention of tommorow " Oh my! I'd almost forgotten about that! Of course you are still taking me with you.....that is, if you want to." She noticed his stutter and realized how hard he was trying to keep this a secret. It warmed her heart to see him going to such lengths for her, making her feel very special indeed.

Asher grinned. "Of course I'd want to! I truly do enjoy being around you." He slipped off the swing easily and stood at the ground, offering out a paw to help her down even though he knew perfectly well she didn't need it. "Shall I put the table back or carry the tray?" he asked her.

She wondered if she'd ever be able to control her blushes around Asher as she accepted his paw down. " I'll get the tray if you can handle the table and door?" She moved to get the tray, balancing it carefully.
