Shrimpie continued shaking violently. What in the HELL had that been? She wondered to herself in a haze. She buried her head into her knees more tightly, trying to make her breathing slow down.
....A memory? A memory of what, exactly? Someone was killing people around her, it had to be. But who? She shuddered as she forced herself to concentrate. She managed to see a gold gleam of an eye amidst the blood, but a voice snapped her out of it before she could go any further.
"--are you okay? It was the only way to learn your language. I'm sorry."
Her head snapped up so fast it hurt, and she stared at the woman in complete confusion. She took a deep breath she didn't realize she could, and managed a strained smile very weakly, which also meant very fakely, but it was better than nothing.
"...Ah....I think I'd be lying if I said I was okay...but...it was definitely necessary." She paused thoughtfully.
"And now I don't look like a complete crazy-a** from mumbling to myself in an unknown language." She paused again, and sweatdropped and sighed.
".....Okay, so that is the least of my worries...but I'll stop rambling now. So..uh...mind giving me a little update as to what exactly is going on? And introduce crazy old me? I'd do it myself, but I've no idea who I am exactly."

As soon as Angela asked for water, Inutai nodded and tugged on his chain to let Toshi know he needed to follow before going to search for some water. Managing to find a sink, he now needed to find a cup. There was a cabinet anove it, but he was too short to reach it, so he climbed onto the counter and opened the cabinet. Luckily for him, there were cups in there and he took one and hopped back down. Turning on the sink, he filled the cup and took it back over to Angela.
"Here you go," he said, holding it out to her.

Hatira blinked at the silent girl. She decided to wait to introduce herself, not sure whether she should. So she stayed back and watched, her ears twitched as she listened to what they were going to talk about.

Taking the water from Inutai, she gratefully drank the entire glass. "Thank you Inutai," she told him, giving him a smile. "I'll be okay. I just have a headache. It's nothing to worry about."
She looked at the girl. "I really am sorry. The feeling should fade quickly enough. I wish I had something positive to tell you now but I also don't know who you are. All of us have just met each other. We were all somehow...transported here from different worlds. We don't know how or why yet. But we're trying to find out. Zen--that red haired man you--" Angela paused.
When she went to point to Zen, she realized he was not there and Ky was standing nearby looking distressed.
"Um...where did Zen go?" she asked.

Hearing it was nothing major, Inutai smiled in relief, wagging his tail happily. He didn't like seeing others around him getting hurt and tended to be over-dramatic and such a worry-wart when it came to those types of things. When Angela asked where Zen was, Inutai blinked and looked around, seeing he really wasn't there.
He sniffed the air slightly, sifting out his scent from the others. After a few moments, Inutai turned back to Angela. "He went out the door, for some reason," was all he said, since, that was all he could find out.

(*Sorry, I didn't realize.) "H-hi..." Christine slowly stuck her hand out to shake this man's hand. Some humans seemed to be scared when she made sudden movements. Like animals, but she wasn't rude enough to say that. "I'm Christine. And I'm okay, just hungry..." Why did she say that?! One person who wasn't afraid of her or angry for no reason, and she probably just scared him off by telling him she's hungry.... Christine needed to learn how to think before talking. (*It's the weekend, so I'll be on more. Today I have flute lessons and I'm getting new ballet shoes, so I'll be gone for a couple hours later. But after that, I'll be a lot more active.)

Javor smiled in a sympathetic way, suddenly getting an inkling about what Christine was. After all, he'd met some of them before and they had a similar feeling to them. But that was okay. They were interesting to be around so he didn't mind. Instead, he leaned in to whisper, "I'm hungry too."
And then he stepped back and pulled Hatira closer. "This is Hatira," he told Christine. "She grew up on an island." This last part was added because, having never met someone from an island before, he felt it was a very important point of identification. (Normal people probably would have felt the same way about the dog ears. But he knew people with animal parts--Heck, he knew people with whole animal heads and not just ears--so that didn't stand out to him as much as being from an island.)

Christine smiled slightly, amused by Javor's excitement for islands. These two people seemed nice enough, even with animal parts. She just hoped everyone else would warm up to her too. Christine enjoyed being in the background without any attention, but still hated being left out and disliked. It was a strange mix, but she wasn't normal.
Oh, crap. She was getting carried away in her own thoughts again. Someone was talking to her, and she probably looed like an idiot just standing there. Quick, say something! she thought. Her response?
"Hi." Stupid, stupid...

Hatira laughed lightly,
"You seem like a nice person to get to know, Christine." She commented, since she saw that she was uncomfortable, it seemed, in her own shoes, so she tried to start conversation out of interest's sake.

Christine smiled. Hatira seemed sincere in saying Christine was nice. She was used to the comments of "you're a b***h" "******** off" etc... Compliments were rare.
"Thanks" She said. There really wasn't anything else to say, in her opinion. She didn't want to push Hatira into another subject.

((SoulSkourer, if you're still following this . . . you COULD always try and escape. You're unconscious, not dead. But it'll be one hellova battle unless you get help.))
"YOWEEEE~~~~~~ TICKA TICKA TICKA! YAOC! HUITZOL! WANAPOKAHOMO! BLURUREEEEEE!" "D'ohhhhhhhhhh?" was the response, inflected up, almost like a question. "H'rk! H'rk! Yaroooooooooo," she sounded backc, skipping through the trees with the body flopping on her shoulder and the frying pan scraping the ground. "D'ahhhhhhhhhh!" A voice erupted, followed by the voices from what sounded like a hundred others. The vibrations rattled the trees, giving her the energy to sprint faster into the forest. After the cacophony reached a climax, the world hushed and all went silent.
She stood by the Tree, looking around. All was still, apart from random meaty things running around in the leaves. She sniffed the air and, satisfied, threw the body onto the ground.
"Ahbet! Roo! Yaoc hitzol HO!" she shouted, throwing her head back. Almost a dozen faces appeared from nowhere, peering out at her from the trees and bushes. They sprinted out to her, hauling the body onto a stretcher and jumping on her with glee. Some wore scraps of stolen clothes, others were naked. All were female. They rubbed against her in excitement, cheering and whooping loudly. The entire group began to jump up and down. With another cry, Cleo walked past them and led the way to the Nest.
