You could have shops with items for students to buy with the Wizarding world currency: Galleons, Sickles, and Knuts, than be able to rp with the items at school. That would be fun. Furthermore there could be a whole Diagon Alley section or Hogsmeade section that students could rp for field trips.

One question on because I became confused:
Shops. Are we planning to actually sell items in these "shops" as something in exchange for gaian gold. Or just pretending to sell for RP purposes.

Suggestion for RA Ravenclaw: Fair Eagle? I know it's lame sounds like a camp, but another one is Eagle's Nest (just to use the House symbol)... You can also maybe considering using Bronze Glen xp
For Slytherin: Snake's something was suggested earlier. I like that.
@Rayne: Shops are going to be RP. I just asked that question too because I was slightly confused.
If there's not a set person who will be around forever and ever (which is likely) then there shouldn't be an application for shops. However, I think there should be a limit on the number of shops open during a time (suggestion). For instance let's say that the most shops allowed at one time in the subforum is 15. First come, first serve. That means until a shop dies (let's say inactive for two-three weeks) no one can create a new one. When the shop dies, someone else takes it over or request for a moderator to lock/delete it. That ensures that the shops are constantly moving, without having too many. The main threads in that subforum will most likely be the RAs.

We're going to have street vendors? I didn't know that. Where will they be?
You know the thread that is currently in the discussion subforum right now about people who want to buy or sell things? We could just have something like that (or even just move that one to the grads subforum) where people can post things that they want to buy or sell and then whoever is in charge of the thread can arrange it in two lists, "buy" and "sell" so that people can easily see what there is on offer. We talked about having Street Vendors a long time ago, but honestly I dont remember what ever came of it. But useing them just popped into my mind when I saw your post.
That thread is suppose to be for the HM. I don't think we should steal it. We could make our own. As for the names I actually really like Bronze Glen, of course its not up to me but, the Ravenclaw's could add Icee's suggestions to the rest of the other names. As for Slytherin, I suggested Snakes Cavern (or something to that effect, I can't remember right now).
We do need to settle on a number of shops, that's something we forgot about too. I do like Icee's idea about the shops. I'm not sure if 15 is to much or not enought or perfect. I'm going to go back and count the shops we already talked about having.

I think "inactivity" should be considered less than say 5 posts in 2/3 weeks (and these can't be just posts by the owner to get the count up).
I don't think that the inn should have the sell/buy shop since it already has quite a bit in it (it's already the grad hang-out place and where they stay for the first term). That should be in another thread I think.
I'll post Icee's ideas about the Ravenclaw RA names in the common room. I don't think they're bad at all. biggrin Thanks for the suggestions!

I wasn't saying that the Inn should have the sell/buy shop in it, just information about it. Or we could just make a Grads only Message Board or G.M.B.

There's no reason for a GMB because the SMB is for everyone to post their announcements. I just wish it was used more frequently. It's boring just seeing absences.
