Joliette looked around her... no paddle... well ok maybe thats not hte end of the world. She shifted her position on the chucnk of hull and dipped her hand onto the water, and then the other, and with some strong determination paddled her hands in the water, she was quiet a ways off, though the further away she got the stronger the current was, until finally she was making absolutely no headway and was being pushed back ashore.
It was about then that she looked down into the water something glinting and catching her eyes.... metal shards, a hell of a lot of it, unless you looked close it looked like just another part of the reef... It seemed the 'good' doctor was trying to avoid more people coming to the island by boat...
She attempted once more to paddle away from teh island only to be pushed back by the current and gave up. She sighed the pace she was going it'd be a ... while before she got ashore, so she pulled her camera out and proceeded to snap pictures, of the shardy reef, of the isle... anything she could think of...
~~**~~**~~
Hours later Joliette sat on the board facing the oncoming island... "Damn current... slow damned thing" she mutters. She'd long since stopped taking photos, she now had about 3 more rolls of photographs. She didn't want to risk her laptop over the water, so for now all her equipment resided safely inside the waterproof camera case. She was still a couple hundred feet out from the shore and the current was slower there then it had been earlier when she was further out. She was BORED and she had seen no signs of life on the beach ahead of her....~~**~~**~~
Joliette was growing impatient with the water, ok sure yeah it would have been worse going the other direction... but least she wouldn't have been watching the slowly moving water pull her towards an island... She'd made it maybe another 50 feet, she was still a good 150ish feet offshore, she there was no way she was getting in the water at that depth...
~~**~~**~~
She shifted positions, she could swear her rear end was falling asleep, she doubted she'd feel it by the time she made it the last 125ish feet to shore.

Joliette eventually took to laying on the piece of hull looking up at the setting sky... she was bored, she was lonely... And damn it she was hungry. She looked sideways, still a good 50 or 60 feet before it'd be shallow enough for her to get her feet on the sandy ocean floor.
Hearing her stomach gurgle for the hundredth time she rolled onto her belly and looked down into the water, it was dark, very dark, an obvious sign of it's depth. She saw the reflection of the setting sun on a few fish near the surface. Her tongue flicked and inadvertantly hit hte water's surface, she cringed when she tasted the salt water the forked surface brought back to her.
Ok that seriously wasn't going to help... She was already thristy... She knew very well that salt only made one thirtsy... She was already thirsty though, she had not had anything all day and had been sitting under the hot January sun. She rolled back onto her back and closed her eyes. She did her best to ignore her growlly belly and hte dry feeling in her mouth, a feeling that screamed at her for moisture, she was wondering if she'd even sound remotely normal when she finally spoke, she had a feeling liquid would be called for first...
What was the explosion... she knew she had managed to get just barely enough time to photograph it before being pulled unconscious... The more she thought about it, the more she was not only confused... but her journalistic instincts and curiousity started to get the better of her and she started imagining many different scenarios... Everything from the lab blowing up, to the mansion she'd seen in her viewfinder blowing up...
She also thought about where she was... she couldn't help but think it was a cruel 'joke' she had a creepy sneaky suspiscion it was the work of the git... She couldn't pick up any other scents other then her own so she couldn't be sure... But all the clues were there, she was stuck way out from the island, she was on a piece of her very own ship... who else could do that, she'd never even met the doctor Moreau, and though his magazines brought a lack of hope to her, she had a feeling THEY were the doc's doing not the git's after all there was an ipod in there too...
She thought about the piece of the ship... It was fairly large, not to mention a fairly thick fiberglass... she wondered if perhaps she could manage to hide it... Perhaps... just perhaps she could use it to try and escape at a later time when she could find something to serve as a paddle... and take some supplies with her... All these thoughts and ideas were rolling through her mind as she floated along

Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.... Chubbs MacKraken Chubbs sniffed his way along the beach, he was trying to get use to his nose, it was pretty hard. He got the idea when he got back to his duplex, he had smelt Joliette's sweet body smell in the area and he thought he'd attempt to smell her out. He managed after a long time trying, to follow a trail he thought led to a beach. there was so many smells that kept jumping in the way. His brain couldn't syphon out the offending odors that were hampering him. Everynow and then he picked up a wiff of her smell, it was like a blind man using a cane. Now at the beach, it was near impossible to find the smell. The salty air, sand and his own smell just wiped her scent off the map. He held onto his bruised and battered arm and looked around. There was nothing, nothing her could see. Chubbs began searching along the beach, trying to find any sign of her. And in the dark, he made it out, barely in the moonlight, a footprint. He found another nearby, and then another. The looked small enough to be her. Chubbs ran after the prints, making out what he could untill they stopped, the waves washing over the last print and eating it away. He looked up with wide eyes and panicked, had she sunk into the sea? Chubbs looked around frantically, then he caught a glimpse of something out in the water, floating way out in the ocean. He looked closely, squinting to make out anything, hoping it wasn't a corpse. Then he saw it, a body, small enough to be Joliette, floating on some board thing. Chubbs ran into the water and started swimming. He was a good swimmer for the fact he floated really well, but the water was freezing and his arm was busted up, but he didn't care, even if it wasn't Joliette, someone was in trouble. Joliette Rigiel "Twinkle twinkle little star..." Joliette said in a croaky singsong voice opening her eyes and looking up at the few stars that had begun to specle the night sky, she lifted a hand as if to reach out and take one from the sky. She hadn't even heard the splashing of water, she's tuned out the water having been listening to it all day. She was hungry, she was dehystrated, and damn she HAD to go bathroom...... Chubbs MacKraken Chubbs swam against the waves and headed towards the floating debris. It was exhausting, especially with his arm all stuffed. He dreaded it but began swimming with both arms and yelled into the water. His arm ached like crazy but he still tried. He drew closer and could actually make out Joliette, it was her! Chubbs swam harder, and stopped every now and then to wave and shout at her. "Joliebllbbblllll... blah... stupid water" He swam at her with burning lungs and a arm that felt like it was going to fly off, but something overrided it all. Joliette Rigiel "How I wonder what you are..." the day had finally caught up with her, the heat of the sun on her... She'd easily gotten a sunburn, was feeling the effects of sunstroke and dehydration all at once... Oh the joys of being stuck on the water all day. She snatched at the sky trying to 'grab' a star or two Chubbs MacKraken Chubbs drew closer yet, he felt every stroke of his arm through the water, he could almost touch her but she was always just out of reach. He finally connected with her make shift raft and held on, gasping for breath as he looked at her. He twisted around till he could see her face, she looked out of it and exhausted. Chubbs was feelinf stuffed as well, but he had to get her to shore. He got behind the raft and held on, beggining to peddle his legs. The started heading back to shore slowly but surely. Joliette Rigiel "Up above the world so high... hey come back here star" she said turning her torso slightly to grab at the star that was more quickly moving out of 'reach' with Chubb's pushing of the raft... Her tongue flickered... scent... food! She turned her head looking rather zoned out moving to 'eat' what she could find close... which just happened to be... Chubbs' arm Chubbs MacKraken " AH! son of a b***h!" Chubbs swore when Joliette bit him, he growled and his hand turned into a fist and pulled back to knock Joliette's head off. He stopped though and blinked, the instict to fight was getting annoying. He instead pulled Joliette off his arm, she hadn't done much damage but she was obviously out of it. He pondered how long she had been out here. Chubbs was tired, but he peddled and wrestled with Joliette, trying to avoid her claws that scratched him every now and then. " Oi!, bloody snap outa it!" Joliette Rigiel By the time they neared shore she's returned to her song with only an occasional swipe at Chubb's arm "Like Diamond in Sky,..." she'd reach and grab at one... her tongue flickering, she yawned softly but made no effort to close her eyes. she whimpered when he pushed a hand away, more for the sunburn on her body then the fact of being pushed away Chubbs MacKraken Chubbs, Joliette and the raft hit the shore, and he flopped exhausted on the beach. He lay there watching Joliette as he caught his breath, she was halucinating or something. He couldn't move his right arm, at least not his shoulder, it was impossible. He slowly got up from the sand, listening to her sing her crazy song. He grabbed her about the middle with his arm, bent down and hoisted her over his shoulder. His knee's shook some but he adjusted and soldiered towards the village and to the river where he could get her a drink. Joliette Rigiel Joliette whimpered from the sunburn as she was lifted, her camera bag was still looped over her neck and shoulder and hung loosely as he carried her. Her song had stopped and she watched foggily the ground that passed behind of Chubbs (( to River ))Chubbs MacKraken Chubbs staggered to the edge of the water, his legs were all chaffed from the sand, friggin crotch sand. He tried not to drop too hard as his knees dropped out and he fell by the bank of the water. He slowly rolled Joliette from his shoulder and sat her down beside him. He leaned her back against him and reached out to the water, trying to scoop some in his hand. With a small puddle in his hand, he lifted it to Joliette's lips and trickled it into her mouth. Joliette Rigiel Water! No Salt! it was what her mind registered, not how she was getting it, or from who, she 'drank' greedily from his hand. And kept drinking any water he offered her, she could certainly use it... Chubbs MacKraken Chubbs smiled as she drank, taking a deep breath and then grinned a little, her tongue tickled. Chubbs tried his best to keep up, scooping up more handfulls of water and letting her drink from it, but she was greedy.HE held her back from almost diving in the water, she needed to calm down and take her time, if she drank to fast she may get it down the wrong hole. He kept feeding her water as long as she needed him to. Joliette Rigiel Eventually she stopped, her eyes leaving his hand and trailing up his arm eventually coming to rest on his nose... her tongue flickered. She simply stared blankly at the nose for a long time. Eventually the water did it's thing starting to bring her back to her senses. with a soft groan and she closed her eyes putting a free hand on her forehead "Owww" Chubbs MacKraken Chubbs frowned as she said ow, but he knew she'd be okay now, probably a headach and the fact she was burnt. With the thought in mind, he flopped back on the grass of the bank of the river, tired. He rested his arm on his forehead and hoped Joliette would recover soon. Joliette Rigiel She lay still for a long time cooling off in the cool damp riverbank grass and then pushed herself to sit up and looked around her, not behind her but around her "How did I get here" she mused softly. She blinked, she didn't recal being carried from her little raft to her current location. A groping hand and she found her camera bag at her side which seemed to be a relief to her... Chubbs MacKraken Chubbs heard the words she mumbled, and smiled softly with closed eyes. She at least was giving signs of normality again, he was glad for it, and was amused she hadn't spotted him beside her. He reached up and combed his fingers through the back of her hair. " I said I'd look out for you" Joliette Rigiel Joliette turned at the sound of his voice "David!" she was a lil shocked and at the same time relieved... She took stock of where she was "Oh thank god I'm on land again" she turned around fully to face him and took the strap of her case off her shoulder no longer worried about it falling in the ocean on her Chubbs MacKraken " Gonna head off with out me huh?" He gave a weak smile and winked, reaching over to slide his hand onto hers. He was glad to have her back, specially on land. For the first time he was glad for his change, with out his nose he wouldn't have found her, and he dreaded what would have happened if he hadn't shown up. He would have reached up to hold her, but his now blue shoulder prevented him from doing so. Joliette Rigiel Joliette blinked... "No... I woke up out there, a few hundred feet out, no paddle nothing, just me my stuff and the piece of hull..." she looked around "Where is it? I want to hide it..." she looked back to him "Before they recover from whatever that explossion was last night" she watched him then quirked a brow "David what did you do?" Chubbs MacKraken Chubbs started to tell the tale of everything that happened so far, he had no idea about any explosion. " First I woke up in the jungle on a log. I figured Sabin put me there, then I decided to run back and see if ya were okay. I found that Aji lady, the pretty idian one? Anyway, she was buried in the ground. I get back to the duplex and its locked up tight, I thought I might have done something to you so i tried to ram the door down and i couldn't" He looked down at his feet, feeling ashamed that he couldn't get to her when she could have needed him alot. " Then I tried to get to the labs, thinking they had to have kidnapped you. The fence wasn't electrafied so I climbed it, and i pounded on the door, but no one answered. The islands got no power and it's all locked up. I tried to ram in the lab door to find you but I got no where. Then I got back to the duplex and spent like an hour trying to track you down by nose. I found ya out on the water and swam out to ya. You were all kinda outa it, lil loopy. Ya bit me too, I think ya were hungry. I finally dragged ya to shore and brought ya here, it's the only place i new of fresh water wise with access. The village is like fort knox, total lockdown" Joliette Rigiel Joliette simply stared at him, mouth open in shock "Woah, I'm certain it was the git who was responsible for where I was, that was a part of the Princess's hull I was floating on out there, I have no idea how long I'd been there I was walking back from the cliffs when the explossion happened, I got a photo of it and stuffed my camera in my bag to run back and next thing I know I'm waking up... out there" she rested her hand on her opposite forearm and then pulled it away with a wince Chubbs MacKraken Chubbs looked down at her arm and nodded as she spoke. " You looked like you've been out there a while, a lil cripsy" He just rested on the grass and closed his eyes, holding onto her hand. He was okay as long as he held it. " I'm just resting, I need a lil while... I figure others are out there, I saw no one home" Joliette Rigiel "I was out there all day, least till you brought me in at least" she glanced towards the dark village. "I suppose we should figure out where to stay tonight, if the duplex is all fort knoxy, we aren't going to be able to stay there" she frowned "And I still want to try and hide the hull piece, might be useful in the future" Chubbs MacKraken Chubbs nodded half heartedly, he didn't want to drag his a** all the way back to the damn beach again. But he figured he would get it out of the way and sat up. With a grunt he got to his feet and edged down the bank and splashed his legs to rid it os sand, and his face to wake him up some. He had no clue where to sleep tonight, he just needed some warmth. " Okay.. let's get it done" Joliette Rigiel Joliette grabbed her bag, got up and reached and took his hand, she sensed his lack of desire and chewed lightly on her bottom lip. She felt bad for saying it now, she just had a feeling it might have a use... She watched the ground and nodded. She too had no clue what to do about warmth or shelter. (( to Eastern Beach ))Chubbs MacKraken Chubbs lead Joliette back to the spot he had dragged her ashore. The chunk of the boat lay there in the sand. He looked around the area, trying to figure out how to hide the piece of wood. Nearby he noticed the side of a cliff and a little indentation at the bottom. Chubbs motioned to the spot with his good arm. " Over there?.. we can cover it" Joliette Rigiel Joliette looked where David motioned "Yeah that should do, hopefully it wont get found" she wanders in that direction and waited to one side to help cover it Chubbs MacKraken Chubbs took the raft in one hand and began dragging it towards the spot with a huff. He finally got it there, it was annoying with only one hand. He shoved it into place and began kicking sand over it, too sore to bend down to do it. Joliette Rigiel Joliette used a palm fern to help him and soon was looking at the spot with saisfaction and then to Chubbs "Uhm..." she started just as her empty stumach gugrled "I guess we should find somewhere to sleep tonight" she said nothing about her stomach Chubbs MacKraken Chubbs blinked when he heard the rumble, almost believing an angry animal was around. He raised a brow at Joliette, it looked as if sleep wasn't all she needed. Food had been the last thing on his mind, but it was a need. He looked at her stomach and then looked thoughtful. " I say back to the river. One, people will come to drink eventually, two its got water, three, you sound like ya hungry, and I recon we can find something there" Joliette Rigiel "The river makes sense then," she nods and then blushes though this is likely not very noticeable against her sun-burnt skin. "Yeah I suppose I ak, I haven't eatten since lunch... yesterday" She reached for his hand once more so they could walk together, she had no desire to be alone after what she'd experienced that day. (( to River ))Chubbs MacKraken Chubbs walked bat to the spot the were not long ago, holding Joliette's hand in his. He sat down as soon as he made it near the bank, he had a branch from a thorn bush in his hand. He wondered if Joliette wondered why he nabbed it. It was all part of his plan to get dinner. Joliette Rigiel Joliette sat down and put her camera case on the grass, she eyes the branch curiously, surely he didn't expect she'd eat... that Chubbs MacKraken Chubbs was quiet for a while, he broke a large thorn off his twig and sat plucking at his shorts leg with it. It almost looked like he was bored, but he had been slowly taking the thread out of his shorts on the seam. While he did that, he smacked his hand on the ground, lifted it up slowly and and with his claws pulled up a small beetle and rested it on his leg. He plucked some more until he had a long length of thread. With a reach he grabbed up a stick and tied a thorn to the thread, then the thread to the stick, and put the beetle on the end of the thorn. With a smile he dropped the thorn into the water and sat and waited with his bush made fishing rod. Joliette Rigiel Joliette watched him fish, he could have been macgyver with that trick. She scooted over and carefully leaned against him watching and sharing his body heat Chubbs MacKraken Chubbs smiled as she leaned against him, he kissed her on the forehead and switched the rod to his other hand so he could hug her with his good arm. He gently rubbed her shoulder, trying to warm her up. He felt something jab his thigh and reached between them, feeling around in his pocket. Inside he found his lighter, something he forgot to take out when he went to sleep. He flicked at it, there was fuel in it still, even after going for a swim. It didn't spark, but it had sand in the way. Chubbs blew on it and tapped it, hoping it was all clear and flicked it again. The lighter sputtered out a flame and Chubbs grinned. " What ya say to a campfire?" Joliette Rigiel Joliette winced slightly at the brisk rubbing her arm got but nodded just the same "A campfire sounds lovely... nice and warm..." She watched hte flame dance on his lighter as she spoke Chubbs MacKraken Chubbs, handed over the rod to her and awkwardly got to his feet with one arm. He also handed over the lighter and patted her shoulder. " Tell ya what... I'll go looking to see if I can get some stuff for the fire, ya do the same, while we are at it, see if we can find some people and bring em back here" Joliette Rigiel Joliette looked at hte lighter in her hand and then slid it into her pocket "All right" she said hesitantly, she wasn't sure she wanted to be seperated at that point but she agreed, least she knew she could come back here. She pushed to stand and moved closer to him "David... kiss me first? please?" Chubbs MacKraken Chubbs blinked and then smiled warmly. He couldn't help but feel like one of those movie action heroes that got the girl after saving them. He pulled her to him tightly and kissed her deeply and lovingly. He really did enjoy this. Joliette Rigiel Joliette ignored the pain that shot through her limbs as he held her tightly, after a whole day of forced solitude, she couldn't think of anything she wanted more. she returned his kiss deeply before pulling away "Back here... in a while..." she says softly as if to confirm it was not her imagination before moving to leave him Chubbs MacKraken Chubbs smiled and mm'd after the kiss, she certainly did miss him, and he missed her. He nodded in agreement and started off in the way of the duplex's " With kisses like those, I'll be back real soon"

A Party Forms For a Time Joliette Rigiel Joliette gathered up the case slowly and then turned to look towards the village... Chubbs had gone that way, perhaps she'd goo..... this way" and she headed off along hte river carrying hte case in a way that wouldn't send sharp pain to her mind. She could easily have been changing into a lobster if it wasn't already known that she was becoming a lizard... well... Komodo... She had a sunburn from head to toe, and the remaining bits of evidence of her fight with Antony as well... Awen Zyn "Ah..." Came a satisfied voice from down the river a ways. A certain blue haired figure, who would normally not be seen near the river at all, was bent over scoopnig water up in her hand and drinking from her palm.
It had been awhile since she had a drink, she was happy she found the way back this far and she was overwhelmed by the need to quench her thrist than to worry about a silly thing like a phobia. She knew she would die without water..she was only scared she would die with it. Big difference.
Awen had left Jamal back a little ways to rest his sore leg. He needed a rest but Awen had wanted to check out the area, she thought that it was familiar and a little father only confirmed it when she found the river.
She slowly sat back by the river bed. But didn't want to go back right away. She frowned and looked into the water. Jamal seemed very much like this wet bane of her existance. She wanted it, needed it.... but was terrified of getting hurt by it. She sighed heavily. Yeah.. she'd wait jsut a little bit before going back for him. Joliette Rigiel Joliette looked up at the foliage above as she trudged along hte riverbed kicking small stones lightly with her feet. She had trudged a while and was looking for something possibly edible that wasn't animal based.
Eventually she looked down and caught a glimpse of blue ahead, another minute of walking brought Awen fully into view and she walked up beside Awen looking down into the water too Awen Zyn Awen blinked a little bit as a blurry shadow fell over the water. Startled Awen looked up to see...the photographer. She smiled weakly up at her before... it clicked. Awen jumped to her feet. "Joli! You're okay!" She smiled braodly, the thoughts of Jamal being pushed from her mind.
"You are okay right? Did you see that explosion? Have you talked to anyone else at all?" Joliette Rigiel Joli looked at Awen and smiled "Yeah I'm ok now, I've only seen you and David.. I saw the explosion though, I got a photograph of it before falling asleep, I dont know much though, Only what David told me" she admitted
"What all happened?" Awen Zyn Awen shook her head slowly and schooled her expression some. "I don't know... I was up playing PSP when it happened. It was weird wasn't it? Next I knew... I was on the beach." She shrugged a little bit. "Jamal's back there..somewhere. He messed up his leg in the jungle somewhere... I've met Antony now too... you were right about her man she's...frigid. I don't know she didn't come with me when I went to find you guys..." Joliette Rigiel Joliette made a face at hte thought of Antony and then pushed that aside "I don't know she's got a chip on her shoulder the size of a truck... Jamal's ok then? besides his ankle? As for me, I doubt you would have found me too well" she peered in the direction that was motioned for Jamal and then back to Awen Awen Zyn She nodded a little bit. "Well I found you now, and that's the point right?" She smiled at her friend. "And we have an ace journalist to help find out what the hell happened now." She gave her a small grin. "We'll see soon enough..."
Purposefully left out the Jamal responce. She really didn't think he was okay. He was still seeming rather bitter and angry when she eft. That didn't qualify as okay she believed. But oh well. Joliette Rigiel "I'll try, might find something... we'll see" Joliette smiled and nodded "That you did, yesterday I was on the ocean" she peered around again "Got any idea where to find some food? I haven't eatten since lunch before the explosion Awen Zyn Awen shook her head a little bit. "We were heading towards the cafe, that was my best guess." Joliette Rigiel Joliette frowned "David said the duplexes were locked and it was like fort knox... I suppose we can only hope the main buildings are open... He said hte electrical fence around the labs is off too..." Joliette pondered what was happening "this is strange, I wonder what happened" Awen Zyn Awen frowned. Everything was locked down? She looked back towards the village. This is not a good sign. "What is the Doc up to...?" She looked back to Joliette. "Maybe someone found us... and didin't like what they found." It would make sense.
Some government found the island and decided to bomb but Moreau tried to defend, thus the explosion in the sky. But knowing people were onto him Moreau fled the island, locking down all the buildings and leaving the islanders to die....
Her stomach tightened again. It's best not to speculate. Joliette Rigiel Joliette frowned "I have a hard time picturing the doc turning another subject, look at me I found it, and got trapped here too... They'd have to have been a massive force to stop the madman... After all he certainly isn't scared to decieve Interpol..." she sighed "I wish someone had found us... Things just seem... too set up... After all Ambrosse said the doc took apart my rental yacht, and yet I wind up several hundred feet out floating on a chunk of it's hull" Awen Zyn Awen nodded a little bit. "Well, maybe the Doc wanted to screw with us one last time before ditching the island. It probably wouldn't have been a singular person, I mean..explosion was bigger than anything you would have done... but I mean... something had to have happened to make Moreau turtle and lock everyone out, to die." Jamal_Reedy After taking a well-needed break, Jamal parted the brush with his walking stick and found himself confronted not only with Awen, but Joli. Oh...yay. It wasn't that he didn't like Joli, there was just tension there....a different tension between him and Awen, but tension all the same.
"Oh s**t," he said, as though surprised (he really wasn't having heard their voices), and flashed Joli a forced grin that didn't reflect in his eyes as he toddled out of the thick jungle and leaned against his walking stick for support. "Wow, we all jus' scattered all ova dis ********' island, ain't we?" Joliette Rigiel Joliette nodded at Awen's words "We can only hope that this is only temporary... As much as I dont want to die or become a Komodo... I'd rather die in the comfort of my own home..." she looked towards the bushes seeing the "Yeah it seems so... and off too," she looked at Jamal's ankle "You ok?" she was putting differences they currently had aside, at least for the time being. Awen Zyn "Oh, Jamal, caught up? I was just gonna go back for ya when Joli happened upon me." Awen tilted her head to the river. "It's not food but at least you could drink some."
She nodded to Joliette's words. "Yeah I don't think I'd like to die like this either..." Jamal_Reedy "I ain't gonna die, so I guess I'm a'ight," he said slowly, masking the dejection in his tone with a light bit of sarcasm instead. "You look fried tho-...where'd you end up?"
While he waited for an answer, he acknowledged Awen's comment of drinking water by making his way to the river's bank and stooped over to get a drink, trying not to knock his foot on anything hard. Anything to fill that awkward silence... Joliette Rigiel "Glad you are ok, And Awen, and David, I hope others are too..." she watched him move to the river "Uhm a few hundred feet out to sea" she said honestly even if she wasn't sure she'd be believed Awen Zyn Awen shook her head a bit. She didn't really know what she felt at the moment but her stomach growled to get her mind off of it. She started to wonder where they would get food and things from.
"Yeah... That was crazy really...." Looking at Jamal she was bringing him up to speed. "Chubbs says the buildings are on lockdown. So we're going to have to find something to eat and somewhere to sleep otherwhere from the cafe and our duplexes. I don't know what we're going to do about your ankle..." Jamal_Reedy He sat up and ran a palm across his chin to wipe away excess water. "People gotta be groupin' up 'round dis damn island somewhere, I'd figger," he said in a pensive manner as he struggled to his feet, refusing any assistance if it was offered, then glanced skyward. "If da buildin's are all locked, I dunno if peeps gonna hang at the village..." It was then he noted the wispy trails of smoke that were coming from the bonfire on the beach. That was a good sign.
"...It look like someone gotta fire goin', in any case," Jamal commented, a hand lifting from the rough branch in his hands to point at the smoke. "'N if there be fire, then there gonna be people."
Like Antony, he thought sourly. She was the only other person he knew who smoked, so assumed she'd be the cause of starting a blaze somewhere. The fact that one could start a fire without matches or a lighter didn't even cross his mind. Joliette Rigiel Joliette looked in the direction Jamal was looking and pointing. I think thats the direction of the bigger beach... David went on a people hunt too we were going to start a fire by the river, theres fish in there... He gave me his lighter, I'm not sure why but oh well..." Awen Zyn Awen frowned a bit looking at the beach. Antony no doubt, that was where Awen left her and the selfish git was probably still hanging out there not caring if anyone else had lied or died or what through this.
Awen shrugged a little bit. "Then we should porbably wait until Chubbs comes back before joining up at the beach?" She suggested. Jamal_Reedy Somehow the prospect of just sitting around and waiting did not appeal in the least to Jamal.
"Well, if yous two wanna wait fo' 'em, then that's fine, but I wanna get outta da damn jungle. Been herr long 'enough, thanks....plus I might find stuff I need ta fix ma leg," he said in a level, rational tone, catching his second wind.
"All I gotta do is follow da riva', I guess. Plus now I see smoke, so I should be a'ight. Hell, I'm so damn slow, yous prolly kin' catch up real easy." Joliette Rigiel Joliette blinked "Uhm ok... be safe then" she was confused as to why he wouldn't wnat to stick together, but then, there were most times she didn't understand the man... "Okay, David and I were going to meet up a wee ways back so maybe we can find something to eat and then wait for him?" Lauren Granger Lauren trugged down the river from the beach, where she just had a long sleep. Her stomach was growling as she was being very spoiled and not wanting to eat the dumpster food she had collected. So she just left it there to rot.
The only thing in tow on her was a plastic water bottle full of water and her moose plushy. She still was only wearing her black tank and her black panties as that was all she had on. She could find nothing else.
She heard voices and ran towards them, hopeing that some of her friends were ahead and alright. When she saw Awen she dropped her moose and water bottle to give her a big hug.
"AHH! I though you died!!" Then found herself doing this and stopped. "Oh... sorry." She saw Joliette and waved a huge smile on her face, "I'm glad your not dead too!"
Lauren saw Jamal and just looked at him and frowned a bit thinking, I was hopeing you were dead but just said, "Hey Jamal" Awen Zyn Awen barely had time to turn her head before she felt another body crash into her. "Gyah!" She stumbled back when she was let go. She laughed when she realised who it was. "Lauren! Glad you're not dead too!" Jamal_Reedy Jamal's eyes narrowed immediately as they were joined by one of his 'favorite' people. Great. Even MORE reason to get going.
He was not fooled by the greeting and had he been in a slightly worse mood, he could have probably flown off the handle. However, he just nodded before doing an about-face.
"See you guys at the beach, if you make it there tonight," he mumbled before lurching off with his crutch, privately seething. Guh, Lauren was one of the LAST people he wanted to see. Joliette Rigiel The sun-crisped Joli turned at hte new voice and looked a tad shocked at Lauren's attire, least for a moment "Hi Lauren, I'm glad I'm not too though I was starting to think I would... Where did you wind up?" she turned hearing Jamal leave "Au revoir Jamal" she waved before turning back to Awen and Lauren Lauren Granger Lauren looked at Joliette's new lobster skin. She had to be stuck someplace without shade for quite some time. "In a ******** huge hole" Lauren replied. "Lauren sized tunnel to be exact. Built just for me and skunk boy" Lauren's stomach growled, she was very much starving but just drank some of her water bottle to calm it down.
She purposefully neglected to say goodbye to Jamal just glad that he had left. Awen Zyn Awen frowned watching Jamal leave. "Bye...take care of your leg...." She said briefly before sighing and turning back to Lauren.
She seemed a bit distant, but at least responsive. Her frown grew hearing where Lauren was trapped. "Figures. I was out on the beach mostly covered in water. Fun fun....No idea what's going on eh?" Joliette Rigiel "I would have traded places with either of you rather then spending my day drifting towards thee shore..." she made a face that was plainly half silly and half annoyed though that annoyance was directed at the git "Yeah do you have any information? I only know what Awen told me, I saw in the sky, and what David told me" Lauren Granger Lauren shook her head, "All I know is we're locked out, there is nothing going on in the village it is all shut down and you can't even break into the windows."
She had no clue what was going on, only that she didn't like it. Lauren hoped for everyone's sake that Moreau was alright and that he would fix this soon enough. But she knew everyone probably thought it was his doing so she kept her mouth shut. "Just heard the boom in the middle of the night, when I was sleeping. I woke up then all the power went off and then I was in that ******** forced sleep mode. Then I wake up in a tunnel with skunk boy. You know, I think he's gay" Lauren said almost all at once. Awen Zyn Awen nodded a little bit, starting to sober up to the situation. If Lauren didn't know what was going on... that's bad news. Lauren did after all work with the Doctor last Awen heard. "This isn't good." She sighed and ran her fingers through her hair. "I hope Moreau's okay... We really need his help. Without what he was giving us.... how are we going to survive here?"
She shook her head slowly. "You don't figure some military unit or something was sent to the island and caused that explosion? I mean... I dunno... Maybe we were left for dead or something..."
The more she started thinking the more it might make sense. "I mean we all woke up in various locations right? By the sounds of it...the locale fits where our animal would be...er except Joli so far but that's probably "the gits" doing anyway... Maybe Moreau was forced into hiding in the complex, or forced off the island. She bit her lip. If that was the case he'd have to cut off supply and things to the island. And I guess there was a mass lockout system... so maybe he had us placed where our animal instincts would wake up...giving us a better chance for survival?" Joliette Rigiel "I haven't a clue, he spent too much and thers people who are too new here for him to give up that easily, he obviously takes great efforts to make sure noone findds the isle, not to mention about 20 feet past where I woke up their is underwater shards of metal disguised to look like the reef... I'm presuming to chew up any more boats that come near" Joli remembered this one fact, she'd even taken photos of it Lauren Granger Lauren nodded at Awen, "Exactly! I do hope Moreau is ok, he takes care of us after all. This HAS to be someone else's doing." She outbursted. "And as soon as I get my hands on them, I'm going to ******** them up so bad. Especially if they hurt Moreau." She punched her own hand frowning.
Her eyes darted to the howl as her ears perked up, "What was that?!" Awen Zyn Awen Started to nod but heard the howl and froze. She frowned slightly, she'd never heard a wolf on the island before. Except for Ambrose..... He was very wolfish now and.... Awen gulped. She honestly just wanted to get out of the jungle.
It slowly dawned on her, that if people did give into their instincts things would start to get really messy. Carnivores amongst herbavors amongst...er...insectivors? Awen knew she was a fish, and she didn't gain any claws or teeth... she would have nothing to defend herself against.... She did not like this. It just became a whole lot more serious.
"I hope Chubbs gets back soon..." She said softly Chubbs MacKracken Some big made it's way through to the river, sticks snaped and branches cracked through the tree's. There was noise like something being dragged and it was heading into there direction. The noise got louder and louder, and suddenly Chubbs popped into view. He was carrying a whole bunch of blue tarpoline in one arm, his other he had held in his pocket. The bruising had gotten very dark now on his shoulder, he was trying to keep it still. He stopped to put anoter branch on the pile behind him, he'd been collecting some for a fire. Not only that, there was a bottle of vodka, whiskey and rum, and three packets of nuts, one honey roasted, one salted and one unsalted. He looked up when he noticed the blue hair of Awen and then smiled as he noticed the others too. He really wished he had a shirt on.
" Well heya people" Joliette Rigiel "What was what?" She hadn't heard the low tone of hte howl and she looked around confused
She spun when she heard a very familiar voice "David!" she smiled happily she eyes the bundle he had made her curious, as for his top... she could have cared less, she loved how he looked Lauren Granger Lauren gave a half smile towards Chubbs. "Ur... David?" She said as she pointed towards him. "Hey, I'm Lauren." She reached for a packet of nuts noticing there was three of those and four of them.
Too bad, she ripped open the pack and proceeded to devoir them. Her high metabolism caught the worst of her.
With a mouth full of nuts Lauren replied to Joli, "Iwt twaash shay Howul." Awen Zyn Awen smiled brightly seeing Chubbs around. He is the kind of guy that inspires the feeling of "safe". And she definately would feel safe with the big guy with lots of defence and need to protect.
"Glad to see you Chubbs." She grinned up at him.
Noticing the peanuts that Chubbs brought and lauren devoured her stomach growled....but she wouldn't take any like Lauren, or even ask. Chubbs brought them and Joliette would need them and Chubbs brought them so she wouldn't ask. As for the booze....it's a shame Awen didn't drink. Chubbs MacKracken Chubbs was surprised to see a have naked fuzzy girl practically pounce the peanuts he brought. He should have gotten some more, but he figured someone would get the same idea and he wanted to leave them some too.
He shook his head and grabbed the last two packets before the nut girl, in both terms of the word, took them, and he tossed the plain ones to Joliette and the honey ones to Awen. He was feeling okay, sure a bit hungry but he did eat alot, he could survive for a while.
" Ain't found anyone really, so decided to get some things, glad I did"
He glanced at Lauren at the one Joliette Rigiel Joli caught the little bag and pulled it open her stomach growling audibly as she did and dug in "Thanks love" she said popping some in her mouth.. "You know Awen, thats Lauren" she motioned the 3rd female, she had no idea David had negative feelings towards the girl Lauren Granger Lauren simply smiled and waved wondering why the furry male was stupid enough to give away his food. He would definately end up starving that way.
"Ur... geuss that leaves you none..." She pointed at the alcohol. "But, there's plenty of booze." Lauren threw the package away carelessly.
A bug started walking across a tree, a very fat tasty looking one at that. Lauren reached for it and put it in her mouth.
OH god... what did she just do. She looked at herself questioning that action but still swallowed the bug. Not bad, not bad at all. Awen Zyn Awen quirked her eyebrow at Lauren when she ate the bug the chuckled. She looked at the bag of peanuts she had caught in her hands she frowned slightly. She held it back out to Chubbs. "I'm fine go ahead."
Though she really was hungry, she didn't want to take food away from him. "I already found Jamal and Antony...I think they're back at the beach. Jamal is anyway..." Chubbs MacKracken Chubbs looked at Lauren, it finally clicked. The name, this had been the one who made Amaya cry. The hand inside his pocket curled into a fist, the rude little b***h needed her head smacked in. But then, two people he cared about deeply were right there, he didn't want to give into the beast right in front of them. Chubbs took a deep breath, trying not to scowl at Lauren.
He noticed Awen holding out the bag of nuts, and thinking ahead, he moved himself over to Awen and closed her hand back over the peanuts. For one thing, he wasn't super starving, the other thing, if Lauren noticed, she'd probably snag them. Chubbs was trying his best not to turn and push her face into the tree. The vision scared him, he hated those thoughts.
" Ya eat hun, I got me a fishin rod round here someways, .. I recon I can rustle up somethin" Joliette Rigiel "Did you find out anything else while you were kindling hunting love?" Joli asked unaware that he had just about lost his tempter. She put the camera bag down and eyed Lauren when she ate the bug and couldn't help but shiver... Lord help her she prayed she'd never wind up like that Lauren Granger Lauren backed away a bit from chubbs, smelling something different about him but not quite pin pointing what, just that she needed to back away. Nothing really clicked in her mind though, it was more of an instinct and not a fully developed one at that. Otherwise she might of ran or her tail would of gotten to look very much like a pipe cleaner as she growled.
But as of now, she just slightly backed away. "I could find something, a rat or a bunny." She looked towards Awen. "You need food." She then bolted slightly away to get something for Awen. She didn't see anything as right away and was still withing earshot.
Then she heard a rustle in a bush and proceeded to stalk that. She had no idea how she was going to catch anything other than rats and wished she left some peanuts for them as bait. Awen Zyn Awen smiled up at Chubbs and withdrew her hand slowly. That was really nice of him.... She caught lauren backing away from the corner of her eyes and looked over with a slightly confused expression.
Which changed into a wholey confused expression when Lauren ran off in search of food for her. Awen was just getting pampered wasn't she? Blinking she shrugged a bit. "Um...thanks."
Opening the packet slowly Awen ate some of the peanuts conservatively. Hungry as hell but she didn't know when things were going to get back to "normal" so she would just..eat slowly.
"So.... other people are down by the beach should we..meet up with them or... what hm?" Chubbs MacKracken Chubbs shook his head at Joliette, he hadn't bumped into anyone while he went shopping around for items.
" No one round where I looked, smells everywhere though, but it's too confusin, I haven't got a hold of this nose thing right yet"
Chubbs went cross eyes looking at it in curiousity, then turned his head to see Lauren dart off. He couldn't say he wasn't glad, but it gave him a nice view of her backside and he blushed all over. He put a hand over his eyes and looked back to the two remaining.
" Ah lesse umm... dunno why people would go to the damn beach with the water here... but sure, I can go where ever, though I might hang about and see what the fish supply is like"
Chubbs heard Lauren shuffling around in the bushes and looked back to the pair.
" Okay... don't laugh"
Chubbs blushed like crazy as he slipped his shorts down to reveal a pair of black satin boxers with red heart shapes on them. He dropped them near the tarp.
" See if tall frisky and half naked girl there can use them, I'm gonna find my rod"
Chubbs winced as he said that and blushed.
" My Fishing rod" Joliette Rigiel Joliette watched him go, his boxers ... eh well they distracted her for the time being and her peanut eatting slowed to a crawl... Sheaking her head she sat down "Uhm well Lauren that way David that way I think I'm gonna make a couple quick notes about whats happened" she pulled open her camera bag stashing hte last of hte peanuts in it and pulling out her laptop. She powered it up and opened a notepad file and started typing, her WPM were close to 80 so it didnt' take her long to write out point form notes about what she knew Lauren Granger Lauren tried to reach for the thing rustling in the brush but it escaped before she even got close. ******** too slow She hadn't developed movements fast enough to catch anything yet although she was probably better at it then she was when she was all human.
Looking around, kind of puzzled she caught a glimpse of a birds nest, Lauren proceeded to climb up the tree, something she was very good at, and faced a really angry mamma bird as she snatched the eggs. They were not that large but they were something.
The bird still pecking at her as she came back but finally giving up as it caught sight of all the people, Lauren held her elongated claws out to show her share of the group. It was a mere 5 eggs but it was something. "HAHA! ******** owned that bird!" She lied as she looked down at the boxers. "Ur... I wasn't gone that long was I?" She joked to Joli. Awen Zyn Awen blinked a little bit at Lauren coming back. Eggs... tose would be good to have. Breakfast tomorow maybe? Sweet...peanuts then eggs... But fishing rod? Maybe they could have fish too. Awen grinned. She liked fish...
Looking between Chubbs and Lauren she half blushed half laughed. "Um..so...eggs huh? Good haul Lauren!" She vaguely remembered something about going to the beach but...sjhe suposed that others were too preoccupied. That's okay she wasn't..in too much of a hurry to join Jamal and what she presumed to be Antony still on the beach where she woke up. Chubbs MacKracken Chubbs eventually found the spot he and Joliette had found before, there was his rod and stick of thorns where he left it. He bent sown and picked up both and suddenly the line went taught. Chubbs blinked and held on, there was something on the end. He saw int the water a fish, nabbed onto his makeshift line. It was bigger than he expected, he new his thread wouldn't handle it.
Chubbs then blinked and did something he hadn't expected himself to do. His face plunged into the water and he chomped onto something wriggling. He lifted his head and shook his face and threw the fish onto the ground. He was amazed at what just happened and brushed his dripping hair back.He walked over and picked up the fish and then his rod and thorn branch. heading back to the others. Joliette Rigiel Joli looked up and then back down and saved her file shakeig her head "Nope, I just wanted to make some notes..." she hit shutdown on her laptop and closed it then put it away...she stood up making hte mistake of putting her hand on her knee to push herself up "Ouch" she winced and then stood up fullly Lauren Granger Lauren saw Chubbs aproaching without his shorts on, getting a little uncomfortable. Sure she could run around in her panties all day no problem but noo, no one else could do it beside she had a very good reason.
She wraped the eggs into some large leaves to save for later then proceeded to put on the pants. There it was a bit warmer, although she had to tie each end to keep them up and tie the bottoms of the legs together.
She really missed her machedi while in the wild, it was amazing how much use that was. She could cut and tie those things together if she had that handy. Awen Zyn Awen looked between the little party and smiled. She was glad she had these people around, they were the best in such a situation. She smiled softly and sighed. Were it not for the situation.... She grinned a little bit seeing the fish Chubbs had. "Great job!" She licked her lips a bit looking at it, forgettnig the half empty peanut back in her hand. Fish.... She shook her head a little bit. Chubbs caught it, not yours.
She rolled her shoulders and frowned when a sudden thought of a starving Jamal popped into her mind. He would be hungry too. Had the people who started a fire at the beach found food? Were they helping him with his leg maybe...? he hopped that he was okay...despite the situation...she still cared for the lug. Joliette Rigiel "Yeah there are, and uhm anyone is welcome to join them far as I'm concerned, I'm sticking near David, so if you go David, then I will" she felt comfortable near him and didn't want to be too much seperated. Lauren Granger Lauren looked over at Chubbs, remarking about her underwear. "Ur... I suppose I don't really. Was kind of caught like this but I've been through worse." She shuttered to think about the months old and never washed clothing she arrived in. That was disgusting. But for some reason when you are forced to do such things you never think about it.
Lauren shrugged, "I dont care much, doing fine as it is." She hated being around large groups, was always the crazy psycho b***h in the corner spazzing out or getting into a fight. And if Jamal was going to be there. . .
"We should make a fire, uh... anyone got a lighter." On the streets everyone had a lighter handy to smoke their cigarettes or pot. Lauren didn't know what to do without one. Awen Zyn Awen frowned a little bit. She wasn't ery happy thinking about going to face Jamal or Antony but... "Listen guys.... we don't know what happened here and I think it's better if we do head to where more people are. Sure large groups aren't great. Sure conflict is imminant. But we should stick together before all this gets worse or until this ends. I mean.. this is how horror movies get worse right...? And.. I think we've all had enough of the horror movie aspect of this place." Chubbs MacKracken Chubbs began piling up the wood he had gathered for the fire, he'd set up a nice one here. He looked over at Awen as she spoke, he kinda sighed and nodded, but he hadded his two cents.
" OAky, here's the plan, Lauren and Awen, you guys can hang out here, get warm and have some fish. I'll get ya something to sleep on in a sec"
He sat up and walked over to Joli, reaching into her shorts pocket for the lighter she took from him and while he was at it, squeezed her backside. He grinned and went back to the firespot.
" Joliette wants to stick with me, I'll head to the beach and see what they are up to and if they want to come back here, I mean, this place makes sense to me"
Chubbs popped open the vodka and poured a little onto the sticks and kindling. He flicked his lighter a few times before it came to life and he stuck it into the twigs. There was a woof as the fire raored to life, it didn't take long for it to cling to the wood and begin a nice fire. With that he stood up, went over to the tarp and grabbed a big sheet. even with one arm he managed to hang it over a branch above him. With some rocks to hold it in place, they had a makeshift tent. Chubbs tossed the lighter to Awen.
" Just in case okay, feel free to cook that bad boy up, before it gets too far gone"
Chubbs motioned to the fish Joliette Rigiel If Joli were't already loster red a blush would have been visible on her cheeks when he did. She giggled softly "Yeah, 2 camps is better then one I would imagine Lauren Granger Lauren kind of looked a little disgruntled of how Chubbs was taking charge of the 'women' of the group. All Lauren had done was find some measily eggs. Still though she was grateful for the help and took what she could get.
"It's not a horror movie Awen besides, I don't die. I've been through worse trust me. You won't believe the horror that comes out in people on the streets" A bit of the old Lauren wondered why she was trusting these people, especially a male running around in his boxers but what choice did she have. The mongoose was taking control now that she was in the wild, it was find your group and socialise or die. So some of what Awen said made total since. Still Lauren was Lauren enough to keep her group small.
She yawned, tired again. It was getting rather dark and that was sleep time for Lauren, turning into a diurnal animal and all.
After cooking and eating the large fish and the eggs Lauren set it aside for Awen to eat, leaving two eggs for herself. She already snuck a couple more bugs when people weren't looking and was rather ful. Devoring the food Lauren grabbed her moose plushy/pillow and went under the tarp to sleep.
"Goodnight Awen, see ya Jolie and Chubbs." She said as she closed her eyes for dreamland. Awen Zyn She frowned up at Chubbs but soon nodded. "I don't like it, but I won't stop you. Goodluck..." She turned back to "camp" and started helping Lauren with the food preparation.
She ate her portion slowly and made sure to leae some for Joli and Chubbs... they must have been as hungry as everyone else so they would need a portion. Awen sat close to the fire warming her body with it. She was still frowning and she felt the heat, questions and lots of things running through her head...all of which gave her a headache.
All Awen wanted right now was sleep but she decided she would keep watch until the others got back though. She grumbled something to herself in the process...but what it was..no one will ever really know. Chubbs MacKraken Chubbs walked over and took Joliette by her hand with a smile. He still felt odd in his damn boxers, and a bit nippy too. He waved to the pair staying behind and headed towards the beach. Joliette Rigiel Joliette picked up her camera case and then wandered alongside David "Love you David" she said softly as they moved away from pair and headed for the beach Chubbs MacKraken Chubbs Walked with Joliette pass the village, lifting her hand to kiss it lightly. He shivered a bit, it was a bit breezy at night time, and being in boxers didn't help. He leaned over and kissed her cheek too with a smile. Chubbs noticed as they wlked pass the buildings, the store house for the building supplies. There had been some things in there that could help him get into the cafeteria, a sledge, a battery powered drill, hammers and saws. He only had to get inside there and they'd have a good shot at some food. He suddenly turned to Joliette and smiled. " Okay.. I know I may be a little bossy at the moment, it's just ideas keep coming to mind and the make sense to me. The building over there, it's got like a cache' of tools that I .. well think could get us into the cafeteria if we are lucky." Chubbs combs his hand through her hair softly and smiled. " I know you want to stay with me, but we need to see if everyone is okay. You have a laptop, you could start a list of names, like a roll call, find out how many of us are out there and who we think is missing, so we can go after them. Good way to keep some facts of how many of us there are." He took a deep breath and yawned, rubbing his eyes. " the girls by the river need a third, i'll only be here, it's not far, you can see me if you get worried" Joliette Rigiel Joliette stopped and looked up at him... "Okay" she says softly , she was reluctant to leave him just then. she simply stared for a time before slowly pulling away turning to head for the direction of hte smoke rising into the air Chubbs MacKraken Chubbs watched her leave, she seemed upset to see him go, they would have to put their lives on hold for now. He ran after her and turned her around quickly. With that he leaned down and kissed her lips fully, he wanted her to still feel he wanted her always. Joliette Rigiel Joliette was startled, she hadn't expected that to happen. But that didn't last more then a moment before she relaxed into his kiss happily lifting her free hand and resting it against his cheek Chubbs MacKraken Chubbs kissed her deeply, holding her softly with his good arm, then with a grunt and a wince, held her with both. He broke from the kiss with a smile " Everything else is rationed, I have to be greedy at something, even if it is kisses" He grinned at that. " Besides, think you'd leave with out a goodbye kiss and me saying I love you?" Joliette Rigiel "No such thing as goodbye, it's always till later" she replies softly looking into his eyes then pulls away her arms and back where he'd held her smarting something fearce but she did hre best not to show it "Love you David" she says softly, blows a kiss and once against turns to head for the beach

Aw Crap Joliette had left the beach grumping to herself about the tattooed woman. With a sigh she looked around the dark village and wandered over sitting down on the stairs that led up to 28. She didn't bother to try and open the door, she'd already heard from more then one person they were locked tight. She reaches in her bag and pulls out hte small laptop. She figured if nothing else she'd go over the list of things she'd written.
Opening the top she hit the button and felt the whirr of the fan as it hummed to life... and then suddenly silence... "Aw no.. please dont do this" She said to noone but the laptop. She tried to hit the button again... nothing, and once more... still nothing. "Shite!" least she had a decent memory... With a sigh she put her elbow on her knee and put her forehead in her hand. She had used it a LOT on the cliffs before heading back. And in most cases she left it on sleep mode, which included the whole time she'd left it the bag. She knew there was no electricity just from looking around her. "SHITE SHITE SHITE" she said loudly then sat up and stuffed it away.
What was the point of carrying around her bag if those didn't work and she was out of film.. in her mind... none. She looked around... No obvious places... She got up zipping hte bag tight she wandered off in the direction of the foliage of the jungle. "Let's see now..." she looked around looking for the densest bush. She walked in a good dozen feet and then off the path and found what she hoped would be a good place. Looking around to make sure she wasn't followed she crouched down and stuffed the bag deep in the bush and then stood and walked back onto the path.
"Now what... David is trying for equipment, somehow I doubt he'll succeed though... Last I saw that room is in the town hall..." she mumbled remembering when she built her darkroom and then just started walking, unsure exactly where she was going to go as yet....

If you ever come back to check on your bag, it appears (from tracks and feces, smashed fruit and the like ... and the... multitude of parts strewn around the underbrush, exposed film that has been pulled out o canisters, scattered keys and circuitboard) - that a small cluster of enterprising monkeys located your bag and had their way with it.

The Boar?!? Joliette walked back into the camp empty handed and looked around blinking, she could just barely see in the dim light that the mostly dead fire provided "Sacre bleu..... What happened here!?!" she said in a stunned voice the camp certainly looked nothing like when she had left.
Her tongue flicked and she picked up a scent a ways off that much to her own disgust made her stomach rumble. Awen patted Lauren back softly and held her tightly as she cried. "It's okay." She said softly. "We'll get through this. We'll fine out what's going on, we'll get thigns back to normal. Don't worry we're not screwed." She said the words though she hardly believed them. She had no idea how to back any of these claims up.
Luckily, before Lauren could question her, Joliette returned to camp.
Awen let Lauren sit back as she stood up slowly and turned to her. Standing before Joliette her whole front covered in someone's blood, her's the boar's Lauren's "A boar attacked us, destroyed our stuff....me and Lauren went hunting. Joliette she's really hurt could you come take care of her, I gotta go get the boar before animals do."
She knew it was a load to drop onto Joli all at once. But Awen couldn't help it really. She turned back and followed the trail of blood back to the boar. And left the two momentarily alone in the ruined camp. Lauren found a strong comfort in Awen's words, even though she knew they weren't true. Just having someone care enough to say comforting words was soothing.
Joli walked in, and Awen went to get the boar minus the smooshed head. Lauren was sitting there, her hand to the torn shirt around her own sort of smooshed head. "Hey." She waved obviously out of it wiping her tears away to hide them. "I'm fine.. really" and it was obvious she wasn't.
She wondered what gotten into Awen so much to make her tear into that boar. That was more than just revenge for the campsight in her eyes. Joliette nodded still very stunned. She walked across the camp trying to avoid stepping on glass. She winced when she failed on one step but decided Lauren was far worse off as she took the last few steps and sitting beside Lauren reaching under her foot to dislodge the piece "Are you sure?" she asked looking over at the woman... She wasn't sure if she wanted to believe that she was... instinct said she wasn't Lauren was off in a daze for a little bit, hearing 'are you sure?' come out of no where and then remembering Jolie was there. "Ur yes, I'm fine nothing you can do the alcohol is all gone." She huffed a bit. "Besides, I've had worse."
Lauren waited for Awen, she was taking a long time. She hoped she was alright especially since she had that crying outburst and the vomitting. "But.. we have food for like a few weeks. We just have to smoke the pig into jerky." Joliette watched her, she knew enough to make sure Lauren didn't go to 'sleep', it wasn't a concussion but it still it wasn't likely a good idea for her to, so she figured talking was a good way to try to do that.
"Maybe there is more at the beach bar... if Jamal and Antony haven't drank it all..." Her tongue flicked and she sighed "Yeah all I need is some ranch dressing so I can handle eatting it... The beast inside me wants meat... but, it makes the real me nautious... very..." Lauren cocked her head in confusion, "YOU don't like meat?" She smiled a bit, "well, that's going to go away quickly." She couldn't fathom having the luxery to be picky enough to exclude anything from her diet. And excluding meat would just make her look like a walking skeleton.
Besides, she had no problem killing any animal... besides humans... and half human half whatever the ******** Moreau wants the other half to be. Joliette shook her head "No, I am.. or rather was a vegan, I have been for about 3 years. In my final year of school we had to do a photographic essay for a class, and we were actually assigned places, just like a journalist would for a company, and I wound up with a meat processing facility. , I haven't been able to handle it since then, so I chose to go full vegan" She tried to explain. "The git truely didn't like that, cause it also means I'm against immunizations and turned his 'immunization' down so he found another means to give it to me...." She didn't say anything about her thinking it's also why Sabin had chosen a full all out carnivore of an animal Awen grunted a bit as she appeared back at the edge of camp. She frowned a little bit just catching the last bit of what Joliette had said. Yeah...former vegan will not like...
She had returned to the sight and not found a pretty thing. She couldn't believe she had...done that to the.... Her stomach chruned again when she saw it and there was a second pile of Awen's stomach content somewhere back in the forest.
She hauled the beast back into the clearing-ish area. "I really hope someone knows how to cook and preserve things because I suck without a fridge..." She shook her head a little bit. "Sorry Joli..." She mumbled on her way by to the river.
At the moment she didn't care about the water. The animal in her was happy with her progress, but Awen just wanted to get this blood off of her before it dried much more. She started washing her hands and arms. Shaking her head slowly to herself.Lauren nodded, "Hell, I'd probably be a vegan if I saw one of those. But I didn't so I eat meat. Plus can't really not eat meat considering I'll be all bones." She nodded, "And it's even WORSE now that I'm turning carnivore from omnivore."
Lauren waved at Awen comming back, "OOH Big big big catch from small blue hair woman." She pounded her chest, her voice mimicking a cave person. "YOU good member of tribe." But her enthusiasm was short lived as a huge pounding came to her head. "Me bad weak member. Me go wash in humilation." She muttered to herself, not really meaning that but in some ways she did. She went to wash the wounds hopeing just water would work takeing care to wash her bandage and reaply it as well. She also decided since she was already in the river to wash up all over, going a little further down out of modesty to do so.Joliette's stomach, dispite her disapproval, growled audibly as the carrion passed her by and her flicking tongue brought it's scent to her senses. "It's ok Awen... honest" and she swallowed hard to keep from throwing up... She was very glad for Lauren's silly distraction for as long as it lasted and got a small laugh from it. She shook her head as Lauren wandered downriver
"give me something to cook it on I can do that despite my veganism, wasn't always one... as for storage... uhmm, we'd need like a cold storage, or Lauren suggested smoking it to make jerky, that means the fire needs to be stoked up again.." She looked down at her lightly bleeding foot and wiped it away Awen sighed a little bit looking down at her bloodsoaked shirt. She frowned and shook her head muttering a curse. "The fire's still fine just...put more wood on it to keep it going." She turned and grinned. "It might minus our survival, but man it was amazing like out of an action flick when the alcohol hit the flames!" She chuckled a little bit and despite the awkwardness of it she took off her shirt and started washing it in the stream.
She was not about to go dunking herself in like Lauren, still too afraid, but she really needed the blood and ew bits off of her. Setting her shirt aside she wet her hair and face. A small smile pulled at her lips as she felt the water drip to her neck, her partly formed gills.... but she shook away that feeling.
She looked over to where Lauren went. "Don't go too far Lauren!"
Awen yawned softly.Lauren glimpsed over towards Awen yelling, then noticed she didn't have her shirt on and turned her head quickly to avoid anyone seeing her blush. She was just so akward with things like that, it made no sense to her brain at all. Pushing it away as just a weirdness of the head wound, Lauren jumped out and put back on her clothing, her hair and tail now wet she smelled a tiny bit like wet dog.
She came back over, "But, forgot we have no knife to make the slices thin, can't make jerky and that takes forever and a smoldering fire anyway." She thought a bit remembering an easy simple way to extract salt from sea water. "We can use salt, there is pleny of it in the ocean. We just need a container and sun but first we have to cook it because it's not going to withstand this warm night before smelling like a** and attracting flies." As Lauren spoke, some were trying to get on the meat of the boar.
"I don't know how to tan the hide." She was thinking back to Moreau's teachings. "I remember one of my classes a book saying an animals own brains are the best tannins. I also think we would have to scrape the fur off and leave it by fire, making sure all meat is scraped off as well. And again, we need a knife." Everything she knew how to do, needed a knife.
Lauren was starting to be extremely thankful for the education Moreau gave her. Without a word Joliette scurried to her feet and ran into the bushes after hearing Lauren describe all that needed to be done, she had barely been holding it in as it was. If one listened they would hear Joliette losing the water and peanuts that made up the contents of her stomach into the foliage. There were times she wished she'd never taken that course, but the fact remained the same, as much as hte beast inside was demanding she was having a very difficult time coming to grips Awen sighed and got up from the river bank. She grabbed her shirt and started back to the fire. She found a nice big stick and plunked in infront of the remainder of the fire, laying the shirt on the stick so it hung over the fire. Insta drier.
She sat down on the ground and sighed softly. "Well...that's great." She inclined her head towards the bushed. "Joli once your done try drinking it helps sweetie."
She shook her head and looked back to Lauren. "We don't have knives or anything but we could get another stick...or rock.... or..well.. you could use your claws. Not as percise but desperate times...."
She yawned again and blinked, she was really exhausted. It was her time to see two Laurens. "So..yeah I don't think I'll be much help anyway... but...I haven't slept in.... God I don't know and... Yeah..."
She yawned again and stretch. "I...am gonna pass out if I don't willingly..."Lauren looked very confused at Joli throwing up in the woods and remembered something, "Oh... yeah, vegan." That times she truely didn't mean to mess with Joli's head. She was now part of the community to the mongoose so Lauren couldnt' loose her.
But she still couldn't say sorry.
"Guess we will just cook it now, we need THIN strips for jerky otherwise it won't work, plus we need salt, which we don't have yet. Just cooked will last maybe 4 days though, we will need to find something else by then and maybe prepare to make jerky out of something else." She shook her head. "But we don't have anything, we have to start from scratch. No bowls to help make the salt in, no knives, nothing."
The no knife thing in particular seemed to be the biggest pain for Lauren, she always had one handy except when she was sleeping.
"Can you handle just cooking Joli, I'll go try to make a stone knife... or a bone one." She said looking at the tusk that was remarkably still in tack. Lauren broke it off with a little effort and went off a little ways. "I'll be close by but I need some time to myself. I'm just so used to it, the mongoose says otherwise but I'm still mostly Lauren."
She waved goodnight to Awen, "Get some sleep." She also worried about her. Going off just slightly out of the way, Lauren went to make her tusk knife and hopefully some stone tools as well. Joliette trudged back into camp and bee-lined for the water drinking some before turning to reply "I think so, long as I keep this tongue in my mouth ... I hope I can... and noone describes anything more to me" She nodded and headed around the glass and located a not so bad place grabbing another stick to poke at the fire "Do you still have David's lighter Awen?" Awen looked up at Joli in confusion a second before realising. "Oh right!" She took the lighter from her pocket and tossed it over to Joli. "Don't use it though unless these flames die okay? I don't know how much light fluid is left in that and I would really not like to run out...."
Chubb's lighter. Chubbs. Hey where was Chubbs? Awen began to wonder what happened to the big guy. Last he knew he had left with Joliette.... She shook her head slowly and just laid down on her back.
Everything ached, nothing felt right and her stomach still churned with the memorises from earlier. Awen missed the days of big comfortable beds, silk sheets, someone else cooking all the time. She wanted to be home so badly....
As she stared up at the canopy of trees she saw a break in the leaves. She could see clearly out into the sky where Awen could see stars. She smiled a little bit to herself. That's what they didn't have back home....stars.
Awen held onto that thought in hopes of chasing away the inevitable nightmare to come. But obviously.... even the stars can't stop the inevitable....Joliette nodded and pocketted the lighter for later, she leaned on her knees poking the fire to keep it going as the meat cooked, It was going to be a long night to cook all that meat up... She thought about her day and what was going on, and mostly about what could possibly be going on... Not to mention the explossion...
She spent most of the night doing the same thing keeping watch over camp and the meat despite her tiredness

Chana On A Raft Chana Cohen Chana had been moving her raft around the entire lake. She'd decided to ignore most of the rivers; they headed straight into the jungle. But one was a bit closer to the village and had a good current. Exhausted, the beaver girl had pulled herself onto the raft and set its course for that river.
Now she was recovering her breath as the raft floated downriver. Up ahead there seemed to be a clearing...a disaster of a campsite...and people.
"Hello!" she called out, still a bit breathless, and waved. Joliette Rigiel Joliette looked up from the small fire and the nearly cooked boar. "Chana! Bonjour!, I'm glad to know more are safe" she called back waving at the raft riding woman. Well that made more that she could count as alive and well for the most part. Chana Cohen Chana waved once more and slipped off of the raft to push it safely to shore.
"Safe? Do you know what's going on?" she asked as she pushed. "All I know is that I was up late, heard an explosion, saw the lights flicker and blacked out." One more heave and the raft was beached. Chana sat on the sun-warmed wood and looked over at Joliette.
She was cooking something...that much was clear. Chana sniffed hesitantly, and nearly blanched at the smell of the animal. Ugh. There went her appetite. Joliette Rigiel Joliette herself had been making a valiant effort to keep her tongue in her mouth not wanting to smell the meat herself. She got up and walked towards Chana and her raft. "All I know is the power is out, the village is like fort knox, everyone is scattered and that tattooed Antony person says to stay away from the helipad... whereever that is..." She stopped walking a couple feet from the raft and looked down at Chana Chana Cohen "Isn't the helipad by the mountain? I mean...that's what I think I remember from when I got here..." she mused. No power? The village locked down? What on earth was going on?
Chana looked up at Joliette, meaning to ask one of those questions. Instead, she blurted out the first thing that came to mind.
"You look like an inverted Christmas tree!" Embarrassed, she flung her hands to her mouth, spraying droplets of water everywhere. Joliette Rigiel "I dont know I didn't come here by helicopter...." she peered in teh general direction of hte mountain... that is until Chana made her comment about her appearance, and her head turned quickly back then looked at herself, if it'd been possible for her to blush under that red skin it would have been possible... "Err yes, I suppose I do" she said "I kinda got cooked out on the ocean right after this all happened..." Chana Cohen "Whoops...I really didn't mean to...sorry," Chana apologized, though she was still smiling.
"So...who are your friends?" she asked, motioning to the two sleeping forms. Joliette Rigiel Joliette chuckled "Yeah it's ok don't worry, it'll go away eventually and I'll wind up with a dark tan..." she peered over her shoulder at the sleeping pair "The one with the blue hair is Awen, I've known her since the day I arrived here, she's really nice. And the other is Lauren, I met her a short time ago , she's cool too" she looked back at Chana "You are welcome to come ashore and camp with us, the only other camp I've seen so far is Jamal, Antony and another lady I dont know who are on the beach, David shouldn't be too far away, he went to see if he could get the supply room door open" Chana Cohen "I see..." Chana trailed off, thinking. She'd met Jamal and Antony...but what about all the other people she'd met? Where were they? Were they okay? Ambrose and Greer and Cassidy and crazy Ian...she couldn't help think about them.
"We should try to figure out where all the groups of people are...there have to be more than this one and the one on the beach," she said, thinking aloud.
Focus on that final view as the helicopter landed...what did I see? Joliette Rigiel "There is bound to be more, but if our scattering is any indication they could be anywhere, I heard Jamal and Kim to have been by or on the mountain, Awen I'm not sure i think the beach, dont know dont care where on Antony, Lauren in some deep hole, David in the middle of the jungle, me way out on the ocean and you, uhm whever you came from, presumeable on the water somewhere considering your raft..." She sighed and sat down next to the raft avoiding any broken glass Chana Cohen "The middle of the lake. Can you believe it? There's a beautiful lake on this island that we never knew was here!" Chana adored the freshwater of the lake and the rivers it fed. It wasn't likely to get salt in her hair and fur.
"I know now that there's more rivers, but they all head into the jungle. Maybe I should go down them and see if I can find anyone," she commented.
There was the mountain...that's what I really focused on. We landed near it. There was the jungle...that was most of the island... Joliette Rigiel "With this island I'm beginning to believe nearly anything and expecting the unexpected. Will have to check out this lake at a later time when circumstances are better for us all. Theres cliffs here too, they provide beautiful view and photos." She nodded and figetted in one of her vest's many pockets hoping the bits of small equipment inside the pockets had survived her day on the ocean. Chana Cohen "Cliffs? Where are those?" Chana asked. Don't want to end up over a waterfall...
She glanced over at the sleeping girls. They didn't look like they were too used to camping...but it was kind of hard to tell as they were asleep.
Most of the inner island is jungle. I remember seeing beaches, one long one and one smaller one. And in the middle of the island... Joliette Rigiel "Further along the same side of the isle as the smaller beach, the island comes to a point near it... " She didn't really know that much more about it, but then she hadn't adventured too far off the beaten path after having gotten lost in the jungle the one day Chana Cohen "Okay..." Chana made a mental note of that. It could be important later.
And in the middle of the island is...the lake!
Chana looked up abruptly. "The lake's roughly the middle of the island! The village is on the one side of the lake that no rivers go. They go everywhere else!" the beaver girl was quite excited by her discovery. Joliette Rigiel Joliette quirked a brow at the sudden exclamation "There must be a fair number of them... They certainly chose an... interesting island for our ... place to live" she was unwilling to call it home, to her it wasn't home Chana Cohen "Yeah..." Chana agreed, elation quashed by reality. She could easily be happy with the lake and rivers...whereas many preferred the ocean. Why not pick an island so diversified? If you were going to keep people on it for the rest of their lives...make it possible for them to be as happy as they can, right? Joliette Rigiel "What do you think might have happened Chana, that wound us all up out here locked from our duplexes with no signs of anyone but those we've located?" She looked thoughtful, she had been trying to piece that together herself even if she had very few pieces of the puzzle Chana Cohen She shrugged. "I have absolutely no clue. And frankly, I'm not sure I want to know why." A shiver ran up her spine. It was all very...creepy. And sinister. Joliette Rigiel Joliette nodded "Yeah, I guess it's the journalist in me that wants to know... Not that I could do much with that info but still..." she stood and walked to the fire a few feet away and poked it with her stick making sure it was still burning Chana Cohen Chana shuddered in reaction to the fire...but Joliette might see it as in reaction to the island and their situation.
"Got any edible plants around here?" she asked, her stomach reminding her how long it had been since that last bagel. Joliette Rigiel Joliette couldn't help but pity Chana even if she didn't verbalize it, the woman, not unlike herself and the others had been tricked here and now trapped in the wilderness "Plants? I haven't really had the chance to look as yet, theres got to be some around here though, I saw Emerwyn eatting some leaves a few days ago, the day the explossion happened actually..." now that she thought about it, she realized just how empty her own stomach was Chana Cohen "It's all right...I think I can find some things...maybe all those times I played Amazon Trail will actually help, eh?" Chana chuckled a little. She also knew what some edible water plants looked like, and maybe things would turn out okay. Joliette Rigiel Joliette chuckles "Perhaps it just might, I wouldn't mind your help at all, I'm mostly still vegan, I haven't been able to handle meat for a few years, only eat any now cause the beast inside of me demands it, eventually I know it's all i'm gonna be able to eat... but for now..." she sighed but smiled at Chana at the same time Chana Cohen "Well...I gave up my favorite food--shrimp--a number of years back when I became kosher. And now...well...your meat is nauseating me," she finally admitted. "I think I know how you feel." Joliette Rigiel "My meat is nauseating me too, Lauren and Awen killed it after it destroyed our camp, it's already made my loose my lunch once and I am doing my best to keep my tongue in my mouth, thats where most of my smell comes from now... I just dont want the food to go to waste if I can help it, even if I dont eat most of it. So I agreed to help cook it." she sighed Chana Cohen Chana gave the roast a skeptical glance. "Well then I hope that both of them eat meat, else you'll be attracting scavengers with it."
It wasn't a good thought, wondering what sort of beasts (other than those formerly human ones) were wandering around the island. Joliette Rigiel "They do far as I know, we were talking about ways to preserve it, including turning it into jerky with seasalt. Guess we'll see what they do with it once they wake" she glanced at it and winced looking away just as fast Which I can't help but hope is soon" Chana Cohen Chana nodded. "Maybe I should start looking for those plants...you'll keep an eye on my raft?"
If asked, Chana wouldn't be able to answer exactly why she was so attatched to the raft, but she was not going to give it up without a fight, that was for sure. Joliette Rigiel Joliette nodded "Yeah I will, dont worry, just make sure it's well beached and I'll keep an eye on it" she smiled weekly, she could understand the woman's desire to keep it, just like her own desire to keep her own raft Chana Cohen "Thanks." Chana rolled off of the raft and shoved it further up the bank of the river before wading back in, hunched over, examining the bottom for plants. Joliette Rigiel Joliette sat on the corner of the raft to make sure it didn't go anywhere and watched with interest, the Boar was about done so she wasn't worried about stoking the fire too much as she watched the curly haired female searching the water

Finding David & Back to Camp Joliette Rigiel After having waited for Chana to return closer to her raft Joli left the camp to find and bring David back, he was bound to be hungry, lord knew she certainly was... very hungry... Carrying a small piece of cooked meat that she was nibbling at and praying to keep down she headed for where she knew he was heading when they had seperated.
She blinked turning hte corner seeing him laying on the ground surrounded by bits and pieces of.. stuff. "David!" she said in worry and hurried towards him crouching with her free hand on his shoulder when she reached his side Chubbs MacKraken Chubbs lay face down on the ground, he was out of it, completely exhausted. He didn't hear the voice of the one he loved, he was too busy dreaming. Chubbs was in the cafetria, and every table was stocked with fresh delicious meals, he gobbled at them hurriedly, eating his fill and more so. Joliette Rigiel Joliette shook his shoulder some "David, wake up... please?" she nearly pleaded, she woulda used smelling salts if she had them, but no, no such luck there... instead she waved the only thing she had under his nose... the fire roasted boar, and then pulled her hand away to look at him more Chubbs MacKraken Chubbs suddenly saw in front of him a giant roasted pig, crisp and golden brown. Chubbs practically salivated at the sight. It was perfectly cooked, he couldn't have asked for a better pig. It's strong was so strong, it assaulted his nose. He reached out and took up a leg, and smelled it deeply. Chubbs licked at it and found the taste was incredibly strong, next thing he knew, his eyes were open and he saw a hand waving food in his face, and he looked up, dry mouthed and smiled at Joliette. Joliette Rigiel Joliette looked relieved "Hey sleepyhead, whatsay we get you back to camp, where there is water and roasted boar" She said softly and watched him to make sure he was ok, she could only guess he must have been rather tired to sleep right there Chubbs MacKraken Chubbs looked at the meat, he really wanted to grab it and woof it down. His stomach hurt and his throat was dry. He nodded and took a moment looking at the ground before he could muster the energy to stand up with a growl. His body ached, he'd abused it too much. Dusting himself down he took Joliette's hand in his. Joliette Rigiel Joliette smiled looking up at him "Here you look like you could use this more then me" she said softly and offered the meat to him once he had stood up. She could get more and she knew it. "It's from a large boar Awen and Lauren killed after it destroyed camp" she explained sure in her own mind he wondered where she had got it Chubbs MacKraken Chubbs took the meat and smiled to Joliette and popped the whole chunk in his mouth and chewed. He didn't chew it that much and swallowed quickly. it his his stomach like an ice pack on a sore wound, felling good, but his stomach hungered for more. Chubbs slowly walked towards the camp with Joliette, hoping there was some pig left for him. Awen Zyn Awen shifted in her sleep, tossing and turning on the ground, mumbling something under her breath. All of a sudden she sprung awake, sitting straight up. She looked around slowly and sighed in relief.
Standing up she brushed herself off and ran her fingers through her hair. Which was a bad idea because her hair was knotted. "Ow, ow,ow" She said as her fingers pulled at hte knots painfully.
She sat back down with a tiny growl. This was going to hurt as she tried to straighten the knots out of her hair. She wondered how long she had slept for.... must have been awhile.... But she couldn't tell time without a working clock. Joliette Rigiel Joliette walked back into camp with David holding his hand and relieved to see no further damage had happened to their little camp "Looks like the fire could use some stoking" she mused "and some wood" a glance around reveiled at least one other of their party was awake Chubbs MacKracken Chubbs could smell the boar all the way here, it was heavenly. His dry throat was soon quench with his own salivating over the meal ahead. He stopped as he looked over the state of the camp. Every thing he'd done to contribute was in disrepair and broken, Chubbs's heart sank deeply. He found a small nearby tree and sat on the ground and rested against it.
" God is an a*****e" Awen Zyn She sighed a little bit and gave up on her hair. "Good morning to you guys too." She mumbled. Letting her hand drop she took a looked around the camp now that it was light out. It was in worse condition than she thought.
Shards of tarp, including the two bigger pieces Awen almost saved that fateful night. Bits and pieced of broken glass, the boar which now seemed a lot better than what it had been. She shook her head a little bit.
"At least we hae good food now." She said softly. Crawling over to the bits of glass and tested a larger piece she smiled. "And cutting utensiles." Remembering the shards of tarp. "You know this might not be as bad as we thought before."
It was so good to be awake and refreshed. "We can make spears and things. Tying the glass to sticks and stuff like that. I don't think this is a complete loss."
Contrary to Chubbs her mood elevated. She felt really good now. Joliette Rigiel Joliette watched David worried and then turned to Awen listening to her evaluation of hte situation "Those would be good items to have, least in teh mean time.." she headed for teh boar looking it over before trying to pull at a leg near the front "Now all we need is to figure out how to preserve some of this so that it lasts at least a few days" she looked towards David for suggestions... try and make him feel better Chubbs MacKracken Chubbs looked between the two girls, specially Awen. He didn't need to be a downer, not here, not now. It was just getting to him, every up brought a dozen downs of late and he wasn't coping well. He was suppose to be the one that was strong for others.
" S...* cough*... sorry guys... yeah.. ah...spears would do well, ah"
Chubbs rubbed his tired eyes, they were red and he couldn't think straight at the moment, he hald to hold himself up from falling to the side and sleeping.
" Might be some vines for good bindin or somethin.... umm... I dunno, I really can't see a way to make it last, I'd suggest something like umm, eatin ya fill, offering some to others, and saving some for fish bait or crab pots or somethin" Awen Zyn Awen frowned at the big guy. It wasn't that he was a downer, he knew more than she did of this survival stuff, Awen was just improvising. But she felt as though something wasn't right with him. She was concerned now...
"Chubbs are you okay? You don't look so good. Why don't... why don't you just have some eats, go to the river and grab a drink and..maybe take a nap. You look exhausted hun."
And that was the absolute last thing they needed. Chubbs so far had been the provider of this small band... minus the boar of course. She certainly didn't want to loose him to sickness...or instincts. Joliette Rigiel Joliette gave a hard tug after running a claw along the joint and fell back onto her bottom "ouch" she muttered, shaking herself and standing up with a rub at her bottom where the few inches of tail was thatshe had landed on she walked towards him handing the meat to him "She's right love, you look like you've seen better days" Chubbs MacKracken Chubbs took the leg in one hand and brouth Joliette closer with the other, he brushed down her backside softly and looked up at her before he even looked at the food.
" You ah.. okay hun?"
He smiled and kissed her hand, and decided to eat, he took a big bite out of the leg and closed his eyes as he chewed it.
" I mow oo guys ah girfs an all ... * gulps* .. but don't take this the wrong way... I'm gonna drags ya all into the kitchen one day... mmm god this is good"
Chubbs smiled and ate some more, taking huge bites and chewing quickly. His stomach felt better, like he wasn't going to throw up so much. He looked up at Awen and gave a weak smile.
" I just wanted to get into the tools, or the cafeteria... it's * coughs* .. it's like titanium or something... I just didn't want to give up...I'm just tired hun... I'm stuffed... lil crispy, bit thirsty, and i hurt all over... a lil rest and I should be okay" Awen Zyn Awen looked away while Chubbs and Joli shared a little bit of a couples moment. It sort of hurt and brought back thoughts of Jamal. She'd almost been lucky to have to concentrate on survival to be able to ingore the shards of her heart Jamal had left when he smashed it. But seeing the happy couple was a bit too much, so Awen wouldn't watch.
Only when she was spoken to did she look back. "Hm? Oh... yeah Chubbs. I don't know though, if you couldn't break into them I don't think you should keep trying. We should..uh.. concentrate on survival, instead of wasting our energy on the lockdown." She nodded a little bit. "Moreau wasn't stupid when he built this place. He knew the strength he would be giving his subjects.... he would have made it so that none of us could break into the places if he set a lockdown. Right?"
She shook her head sadly a little bit. "Besides we sort of need you here Chubbs. If you were here well.... the camp probably wouldn't have gotten demolished. A mongoose and a mutant fish could only do so much, ya?"
She looked over to the still sleeping Lauren. That was never a good sign with a head injury. Awen shuffled over to check on the girl, ignoring the pain in her own leg. She ran a hand through the girl's hair then brushed it away to see the strip of fabric over her head. She pulled it aside to examine it a bit. She didn't know what to look for but she knew it didn't look good she put the material back over and resigned herself just to sit by Lauren. Joliette Rigiel "Thanks love, But dont give me the credit we wouldn't have it if not for Awen and Lauren... I just sat and watched it roast over the fire..." She went silent listening to Awen "She's right again, I dont think we are going to succeed with the village, so the strength we have we need out here, until they finally get everything open once more..." she peered over at Lauren "She going to be ok Awen?" Chubbs MacKracken Chubbs felt like an idiot for trying so much out at the village, why was it when he is needed most, he's never there. Chubbs grew a saddened look as he practically cleaned all the meat off of the bones. He looked over ad Lauren at Awen, noting their injuries. Chubbs was now determined to see these girls through the ordeal, no more stupid ideas.
" I'm sorry I .. I wasn't here ya guys... but I will be now... just... just need a bit of rest.. a little is all I need."
He slightly mumbled that as he rubbed his face, his eyes were almost rolling back, he forced himself to keep awake a little while longer.
" Take any of the pig we won't eat, ... feet... ears.. head..* yawns* .. tail mmm.. and"
Chubbs lay down on the ground, feeling the dread of sleep winning the battle.
" Will use for bait.. for hunting....Make sure Laurens * sighs* breathing okay, ...Awen... keep ya cut covered..... mmm... so tired... smoke the pig mmmfmmf"
Chubbs mummbled the last few words before he passed out again, he needed some time to re-energize and rest his body. Awen Zyn Awen nodded at Chubb's instructions. The poor guy must have been exhausted to pass out in his sentance like that. She hadn't remembered to take care of her own cut and she examined it as it was noted. It was starting to scab over...and it didn't look like there was anything infected like to it. Which was lucky.
Looking over to Joliette now that Chubbs was passed out she shook her head. "I'm not a doctor.... she got hit pretty bad by that damned pig."
Which of course had been one of the major factors of Awen's snappage. She was so very glad that only Lauren was around to witness it. The killing.. she didn't mind so much. It was beating it's head to a pulp that made Awen's stomach chrun even now.
Speaking of her stomach it growled at her. She moved to find a nice big piece of the glass and walked to the river. She still felt apprehensive about the water... but she thought her fear was going away due to nessesity. She washed the dirt and muck off the glass and shuffled her way over to the boar. Cutting a piece of the meat out for herself she started to chew. It... wasn't that bad really.
"I just hope Chubbs doesn't make himself sick with all his work. That's the last thing we need really." Joliette Rigiel Joliette nods running her fingers through David's hair for a moment before standing "I wish one of us was, we could surely use a doctor that is not connected to feral right now..." she walked up beside Awen and used a claw to pull off a tiny strip from the boar before sitting with her "Yeah, last thing we need is for any of us to, but especially those who are stronger physically" Awen Zyn Awen nodded and sighed. "I'd settle for even one of the doc's connected to feral. I mean.. if we're in this mess.... with the explosion and all.... Moreau wouldn't want us to die. He's done so much for us you know. And we're his lab rats after all. He does want to see a successful experiment right? Not just how we are. So if Moreau walked up right now and offered help, heck, I would take it." Joliette Rigiel "I've never met Moreau, but i'll tell you right now... I would never acept 'help' from the git, I would rather punch him out again first. Hopefully with enough strength to knock him out before he can say those 3 words again" she sighed nibbling at the meat trying her damndest to ignore the taste and scent "Thats what one would figure though, he spent all this money to bring everyone here or trap us here, to decieve people on the mainland you'd think he wouldn't let us die mid experiment" Awen Zyn She hook her head and chuckled softly. "Joliette, I think you're too stubborn for your own good sometimes." She drummed her fingers against her good leg. What to do what to do...
"Any idea how to smoke meat...?" Obviously it had something to do with the smoke from the fire, but how close how far from to put it. Lauren hadn't held high hope of it. Awen could do all the work she just..needed instructions.. Joliette Rigiel "I gave him trust and he broke it, multiple times, having clothing you are wearing dissolve from your body kinda ruins trust in the one who gave it to you" she shakes her head and looks at hte meat "Uhm I'd guess in pieces, over a fire high enough that the flames don't touch it? I dont really know, thats just a guess" she was clueless on the topic herself Awen Zyn Awen nodded a bit. Even if Sabin had done all that she knew that he wouldn't do anything too serious. For nothing else but for fear of Moreau. But that was besides the point.
Listening to Joliette's guess Awen frowned. "I'd rather not ruin the meat. Lauren or Chubbs when they wake up can tell us... The meat should last for a little while more anyway..."
She shook her head. "But it won't be healthy for us to try and surive on meat alone." She got up and dusted herself off. "I'm sure we could find some plants in the jungle that would be fine to eat right?" Joliette Rigiel Joliette nods glad for a change of topics away from the git "Yes, we should be able to, the group at the beach looked like they had some fruit, least from the fruit leftovers I saw, I'm going to guess they are from teh jungle, though I'm not sure where exactly" She peered into the trees in search of some fruit, something she'd love just then Awen Zyn She frownd and sighed. "Maybe we should ask where they got it from then. Or maybe we can find out own in hte jungle. You're a vegan, right? You can probably find something ediable, right?"
Awen wanted to avoid going to the beach as much as possible. Three reasons this time. The ocean, Jamal and Antony. She shook her head. But if they were going to survive they probably would have to work together. She just didn't want that self centered girl to go and eat all of the pig her and Lauren worked hard for. All Awen would have to do is ask where they got their fruit, not ask to have some. Then they could findtheir own meat. Yeah that's right. Joliette Rigiel "Ask Antony? I asked her if they had seem someone else and she said something about having seen president bush coming to see if they were all right or some shite like that, I'd rather take my chances and look for it int eh jungle, I dont think we'd get a straight answer from her even if we tried" She too would rather not tell the pair that their camp had a boar, even if her reasons were a lil different from Awens' Awen Zyn Awen tapped her foot a little bit thinking. "Well...how about you try in the bush and I'll check out the others. I won't say anything about hte boar yet. I know desperate people will go to desperate measures for food, and if all they had was fruit..." She shook her head a little bit.
This was a crappy plan and she knew it. She didn't feel like facing one of those two let alone both. But she knew it was better than Joliette facing the two together. Joliette Rigiel Joliette nods "I'll stay close to here, least close enough to keep an eye on the camp, I kinda dont like to leave it too much alone, least not after the boar" she stood up and brushed her shorts off her tongue flicked as she did Awen Zyn Awen nodded. "I understand. I'll be back real soon, don't worry." She gave Joliette a smiled before heading towards the beach, bracing herself for what was to come. Joliette Rigiel Joliette watched her go and then wandered into the edges of hte trees trying to keep the camp in sight as she searched for some fruit

Awen Returns & Save the Meat Joliette Rigiel Some time later Joliette returned to camp, the best she'd found was a bush of berries, they wouldn't be fillling, but they were better then nothing to start with. carrying hte piece of bark she'd use to carry them with she sat down noting Awen had yet to return Awen Zyn Awen stormed back into the camp in quite the huff and sat herself down back by their little fire. She took a look around at their living area. Broken glass still littered the ground, shreds of tarp lay scattered across the camp, Lauren was bleeding from the head and still hadn't woken up and Chubbs was passed out in the dirt.
Yeah they were doing splendidly. And yet Antony had the gaul to question Chubbs' fishing rod technique? How the hell should Awen know how it was made. She wasn't useful like Chubbs, she didn't know this survival stuff. Sure she went camping and was surrounded by woods back home, but those were at camping sites. A store was just down the road, park rangers patrolled, and bathrooms were never too far away. Chubbs was more resorceful and used what he had to make a fishing rod, that was damn impressive.
She had time to stew over this on her way back to the camp. And what kind of self rightious b***h did that girl think she was. Trying to make Awen feel guilty with the whole "I've been nothing but honest with you" crap. Awen curled her legs to her chest. Sometimes she would appreciate some dishonesty. It went against her own morals, but she didn't want to hear the truth from Antony anymore. It always made her hurt. Even if Jamal would have told Awen it would have been better, she knew him, loved him..? It would have been easier if he would have just admitted it.
She choked back a tear or two as she made herself face Joliette. "They weren't any help. Fruit's in the jungle somewhere....Just as we thought." Joliette Rigiel Joliette had been silent observing her friend for a time... "Yeah, we'll find it dont worry... berries?" she asked motioning hte piece of bark with the berries she'd managed to find, regardless it wasn't a ton, but she hadn't cleaned teh bush off Awen Zyn Awen shook her head, not daring to test her voice further. She didn't want to eat right now. Her stomach was knotting and her heart was doing backflips. Or was that the other way around? Awen didn't even know anymore. She just drew in a shakey breath and put her head to her knees.
She didn't want to be here. She wanted to be home in her nice comfy bed. She didn't have to worry about surviving or becoming a mutant fish or about the one man she had cared enough for to share her body with, cheat on her. No. Back home everything was nice. She'd be going to university this year, she'd be making new friends. She'd be normal without these stupid rubber patches on her skin. She would have good meals and no gash on her leg, she wouldn't have to worry about where her food was coming from after the boar was gone. She wouldn't have smashed an animal's head in.
Awen just sat and started to cry. Silent sobs ran through her but she refused to allow noise to escape. Joliette Rigiel Joliette sighed softly and without a word crawled over the gap between them and put an arm around her trying to comfort her. She didn't know exactly what Awen was thinking but suffice to say her own thoughts were similar Awen Zyn She curled around Joliette as soon as the girl placed a hand on her. This wasn't right. Nothing of this was ever right.
A stab of pain cut through her heart when she found herself longing for Jamal's comforting touch. Her arms tightened around the smaller girl as she squeezed her eyes tight.
She hadn't dared respond anymore to them at the beach. But she heard what Antony had shouted after her. "We're not in some stupid love-dovey relationship thanks!" She just wanted to make sure the big guy was alright with her. She figured that there must be something behind what they were doing. After all they were looking out for one another by being in a group in the first place right? It was jsut her way to telling Jamal she still cared. She didn't need to hear what Antony had said. That's what she had been cheated on with then? Someone who just didn't give a damn about him.
What happened when Awen had comforted Jamal, held him, talked him out of anger or depressions. After everything that she had done for him it wasn't good enough was it? Physical gratification obviously meant more to Jamal than anything Awen could give, which was also physical at this point. Guess she just...wasn't gratifying enough for him.
"She doesn't give a damn about him." She said in a shakey voice. "She doesn't give a rat's a** about him...." Joliette Rigiel "To be honest Awen, I dont think she gives a rats a** about anyone but herself. The day he stepped into the fight to stop it, she didn't stop until she had gotten him in knackers, but I can't say she wasn't still only worried about herself. I truely didn't expect help from her..." She sighed softly and tried to comfort Awen, friends had to stick together... especially now Chubbs MacKraken Chubbs opened his eyes sleepily, the ground eventually became somewhat damn itchy and uncomfortable. He looked about and yawned loudly with a long stretch in which he cringed, it started to feel nice but then the aches came in. He rubbed his eyes, trying to focus on the world around him. Chubbs spotted a pair of boddies hugging into each other, Joliette and Awen. He pondered what was happening. then taking a moment, he saw that Awen was upset. He thought about what could have made her cry, and how could he fix it. Chubbs got to his feet and made his way over. Even if he didn't know, a hug would surely help, and so he bent down and wrapped his arms around Joliette and Awen. Island of Moreau As the rest of the boar carcass was never actually moved, one of you may notice (on a 8+ roll on a 10-sider) that above the canopy a few large black birds have begun to circle. About an hour later, regardless of notice, a few daring birds touch down and begin to waddle their way towards the corpse or exposed meat, nicking bites. Awen Zyn Awen smiled a little bit when Chubbs wrapped the two of them up in a bear-hug. Pardon the pun. She couldn't move to try and hugs Chubbs back or anything so she just wait until he let go.
"Thanks guys..." She sniffed and wiped her nose with her hand. "I really...shouldn't break down like that honestly.... Not right now." She sighed and shook her head. "Anyway, Chubbs, we need help with this meat situation.... Could you, by chance tell uh how to smoke it at all eh? I have...no idea what the proper place away from the fire is good for it." Joliette Rigiel Joliette sat up more and pulled away and giving her friend a supportive smile. She turned and looking to David said "We were trying to figure that out while you slept, how to preserve parts of it..." Chubbs MacKraken Chubbs sat down beside the two girls and scratched the back of his head. It was the only think he could think of at the time, he wasn't sure it was a good plan though. "Um.. I ah...well, what I remember, ya did it in like a room or a box. Kinda hang it over sorta burning wood chips.. hmm... I'm really not to great on the process, I don't want to like poison the hell out of you guys" Chubbs softly petted the two, he couldn't think, still a bit sleepy. He stood up again for a moment and stretched. " Er i'll ah be right back... nature calling and all..." With that he walked his way to get out of sight. Awen Zyn Awen sighed and shook her head a bit. Chubbs was the handy man ofthe group, she would have thought he knew how to do this stuff. She guessed not though.
Awen scratched the back of her neck a little bit. Feeling her hair she cringed. This was the worst condition she had ever felt her hair in. Not only the dye but the dirt and grim were building up. She didn't want to go near the river more than nessisary. She'd get smelly sometime, but t's not like a little water would help that much anyway.
Letting her arm fall back to her side Awen frowned softly. What was that in her hand. Was it some of her hair? Great...just peachy. Awen looked oer to Lauren, worried she hasn't woken up yet... Lauren Granger Lauren shook, tossing deep in dream. With a few convulsions, and after rolling around a bit she sat up suddenly, her hair a birds nest. "Oh MY God Moreau!" She yelled out in terror, then realised that it was indeed just a dream she shook her thoughts off. "Oh sorry, weird dreams, nightmares" Out of everyone else, Lauren could sleep like a baby on the ground because she was so used to it. It never seemed to bother her. Joliette Rigiel Joliette looked at the sleeping member of their party in surprise "Hey you woke up... good we were worried" she smiled and watched Lauren... "You know how to smoke meat by any chance?" Chubbs MacKraken Chubbs hummed as he took a wizz out in the bushes, it was just some song in his head he had on his mind. He peekd around, making sure he wasn't in view of anyone. It was a habit of his to need the bathroom first thing in the morning. He wondered if this island had soap leaves. They were good in australia, you could break em up, and actually use them like soap, they even foamed up and everything. He doubted this place had em. He was finally done and fixed his boxers and went down to the river. He took a drink then headed back to camp, wondering what to do next. Awen Zyn Awen sighed a little bit. "Well....everyone..." She got up slowly. "There are fruit somewhere in the jungle. I'll be back later successful or not. I'll take a look and see what I can find. You guys can..take care of things and..well yeah."
She smiled and waved a little bit as she started to walk away. "I'll be fine don't worry, I won't go too far either." Lauren Granger "Yeah I think I can pull it off" Lauren replied to Joli. Lauren sleepily waved goodbye to Awen, "Don't die." Then she noticed something, looking up Lauren pointed, "We're not the only one that wants boar to eat." She took out her knife, which was sitting close to her, admiring her attempt at stoneworking. It was actually fairly decent and might hold out the week without breaking but wasn't the best, not being very straight on the sides at all. Still it would cut. She made a motion towards the birds with the knife like she wanted to stab them. "URRR..." Lauren grunted. "Wish I had some arrows right now." Joliette Rigiel Joliette looked up "Aww crap, think we could wrap it in something, chunks at least? maybe some thick leaves? and if we can find any... vines?" she got to her feet eager to save as much of their food as possible
"Even if we can't use it all to eat, perhaps trading would be useful for it, I'm sure others have things we could use too" Chubbs MacKraken Chubbs came back to see Awen wandering away and the girls frantically hanging about the boar. He made his way over, happy to see Lauren up and about and looking better, but what was she poking at in the air. Black birds, damn they must have a good sense of smell of something. Chubbs decided to give a hand and picked up a rock about twice the size of his fist and sent it hurtling at the birds with a growl. Lauren Granger Lauren gave a nod towards Joli, "I'm sure I can make jerky.. or attempt to anyway. I have this knife now to slice the meat thin enough." Lauren watched Chubbs act with the rocks making a note to remember to use rocks from now one. Rocks and tool just weren't clicking in her head although she obviously used a few to make the knife that was currently in her hands. The birds scattered retreating for now but she knew they would be back as soon as rocks weren't flying towards their black bodies. She went to retrieve a flat rock she had been useing as a plate, going up to the boar to cut thin slices off of it. It stunk a little, but was still decently good, and especially good enough for Lauren. She would be at this for a while, there was still tons of boar left. Lauren also tried to skin whatever hide she could off of the boar. She tried to get large pieces but didn't really get anything large enough to make anything more than leather pouches. Joliette Rigiel Joliette rushed intot he bushes looking for leaves and cut those from their branches with ehr claws. After serveral more minutes she found a couple decent thin vines those two came down and she hurried back to camp hoping to be able to save teh food even for a while longer Chubbs MacKraken Chubbs pegged a few smaller stones at the birds as they retreated, frowning at the as they took off. " Get ya own honeysmacks" He headed over to the girls, looking at what they up to. The seem to have everything in order, Lauren was doing a good job at cutting the meat. He knelt down near by her and looked over the boar. " Mind if I grab up the stuff we wont eat?" Lauren Granger Lauren didn't even look up, dilegently cutting, "Uh, sure...." she said going back to her business. She proceeded in taking all the guts of the animal out, putting them off to her side smiling. This was total fun for her. Joliette Rigiel Joliette ran back into camp and over tot eh boar "I found what I could, perhaps it will proect some of this, I dont think we'll ba able to save all of it, but we can get enough to eat, a lil to save then we should probably get the carcass away from us so they aren't attracted here again" she put he half down large leaves and the length of vines down hoping they'd be enough Chubbs MacKraken Chubbs stole a pinch of the meat to nibble on. He hoped he wouldn't be throwing it up later. He managed to pick up the guts and grab up the feet and tail and was half disturbed that it actually looked tasty. With that and what ever bits he could grab that were useless, he stood up. " I'm just gonna head a tiny bit out of camp to umm.. see what I can bait up food wise... never know, might lure the birds my way" Chubbs leaned over and whispered to Joliette. " Um hun.. you ah mind if I borrow ya bra?.. I ah could use the elastic" Lauren Granger Lauren's nodded, "Should be a tiny bit useful but not much. We need something they can't tear into." She sighed. "There is so much ******** stuff to do right now. Seems like we are constantly working and not even getting our ******** fill. I hate this, never wanted to go back to it. I wish there was just some 7/11 I could steal a sandwhich or two from or some fresh dumpsters I could dive in." Lauren kept going on and on about this for awhile as she kept slicing the meat. "I'm killing someone after all this is over." And she hoped it would be over. Her ears perked at the mention of Chubbs needing a bra. Being in a rather bitchy mood but also being teasingly friendly, "What... turning drag on us Chubbs. I expect one hell of a show then." She smiled his direction. Joliette Rigiel Joliette looked up startled at hte request for her bra but nodded, reachig under her shirt and vest she unclasped it and then pulled t out via the sleeves, if it weren't for the bright sunburn it would be visible she was blushing brightly. "Here" she said softly handing it to him
She smiled at her love then turned back "uhm what can I do to help that wont send me into the bushes?" she asked Lauren Chubbs MacKraken Chubbs kissed Joliette's cheek, getting her to put the bra on his shoulder, and he blinked hearing Laurens comment. " Hey... I'm more a D cup anyway, damn man boobies" He chuckled and bent down to pick up a few large pieces of glass. " And careful there Luzza hun, I might ask for yours next, and that'd be a good show" He smirked and chuckled, it was only in fun, and he saluted them both and headed across the river. Lauren Granger She nodded over to Joliette, "I need lots of sticks around the same size and thin. Two to support the third and the supports need to be forked. I will probably need a bunch of sets, as many as you can find." She continued sliceing nearly finished. Lauren somehow kept her cool, "In your dreams fat man." She replied. Lauren was starting to think of Chubbs as one of the community so it was alright if he poked fun at Lauren. Anyone else though, would definately get a fight. Joliette Rigiel Joliette nodded and got up hurrying off, she glanced back at hte comment and frowned slightly but she had a mission and she was going to run and do it Lauren Granger Lauren waited for the sticks, taking the meat over by the fire and smoldering it a bit. She took a swig out of her water bottle. Joliette Rigiel Joliette came back with whatever she could find, it was obviosu most were broken straight off the trees to get what they needed as she dumped the pile carefully beside Lauren "Will these do?" Lauren Granger Lauren nodded, "Yep, perfect. They'll do" Then proceeded to strip the bark off the stick that would be the middle one, cutting the others to the right length. "I'm going to go collect some sea water." After a awhile Lauren left and came back with a bottle full of sea water, drenching the meat in that bottle. She set the sticks up just like she described, dangeling the semi salted meat over the fire. "Now we just wait forever, possibly all day and hope this works." But for some reason, Lauren thought it should. "I know you hate it, but can you watch the meat, keep it away from the birds. The heat should help." Lauren picked up the pieces of hide she founds and some sticks that were left over. "I'm going to attempt something I know s**t about." She went over to the river, washing the hide and makeing it wet. "I'm going to do this out of sight, so you won't get sick." Then Lauren left to go skin and attempt to tan the hide, hopeing some of the animals head was left for her and hopeing she could do it right. She had no clue that she would only wind up with moldy skins but she left to try anyway. Joliette Rigiel "Will do" Joli said and settled in for more meat cooking watching time

Wandering Alone at the campsite Joliette waited and watched the smoking meat, she'd used a large leaf to drag and push and shove and roll the carcass of hte boar best she could away from the main part of the camp, sure the black birds went after it, but she would rather see them do it at a distance instead of right beside her.
When the meat seemed done she proceeded to wrap them in the leaves she had brought back, she'd made sure they were not poisonous when she picked them only chosing ones she actually knew. soon she had a bundle and some lefto over vines, she tied it all with a handle of sorts, easy for carrying and slung it over her shoulder heading into the village to go check on doors see if there was any change, she didn't want to leave the meat alone at the camp with the scavengers already there, those birds were... annoying
Joliette poked from door to door trying the knobs and then the windows, peering into any that she could, all was dark, and it didn't seem to matter how many doors she tried nothing changed that, talk about depressing, here they were pulled away from their homes and they couldnt even get into their new homes

Vivid Dreams Joliette Rigiel Joliette finishes wandering from duplex to duplex, including going to those which she knew were still empty.. And then returns to the camp... "Mon deau we really need to move camps" she says making a face and waving her hand back and forth in front of her face Chubbs MacKraken Chubbs came storming back towards camp, well what was left of it. He couldn't see anybody around. He frowned and sat down by a tree, he felt tired and dirty, his stomach felt awful, like it was on fire. He really was starving pretty badly, even with the food he had eaten a while ago. He sat and waited, thinkinghow he'd eat Sabin if he was near. Joliette Rigiel Joliette walked into camp "David!" she said happily seeing him against a tree in camp, she was glad he was back. She shuddered at the smell from the carcass "We need to like bury that or something, it stinks!" Chubbs MacKraken Chubbs nodded and stood on his feet slowly, looking over at the corpse of the boar, he cringed at what he was about to do. Heading to the boar, he lifted up the slimey leftovers and held onto his stomach, dragging it away quickly out of the camp and waiting till he was clear before he threw up. Joliette Rigiel Joliette wandered in and sat waiting for her love to return, while she waited she unwrapped the bundle she'd been carrying and pulled some meat from it before tying hte vines back up, doubtless David was hungry... She wondered what happened to Awen and Lauren too Chubbs MacKraken Chubbs dumped the carcass in the spot where the inards were, hoping it was out far enough to remove the smell. His troat burned from when he vomited, having had nothing in his stomach. Chubbs headed back, annoyed with the whole ordeal, luck with this group was very bad. He stopped at the river firt, cleaning off his hand, and then washing his mouth out and having a drink. He went back to Joliette, getting him to smile a little and sit beside her against the tree. Joliette Rigiel Joliette cuddled up beside David the wrapped bundle beside him "Here love, I took the smoked meat with me to keep the pests from getting it while we were all away from camp" she offered him the meat Chubbs MacKraken Chubbs saw the meat in her hand and his mouth latched onto it, taking a big bite and chewing hungrily. He looked up as he chewed then slowed slightly and looked a bit ashamed. " Er fowwy hnn, I waf a mit ungy" He covered his mouth and wrapped his arms around her as he swallowed and sighed, feeling the food hit his stomach. He smacked his lips, it wasn't too bad, if a little weird tasting. Joliette Rigiel Joliette let go when he took hold and giggled "Oh David you are silly, don't worry, I'm hungry too, but I just can't stomach too much meat right yet, even if thats what my body wants" she sighs and closes her eyes resting her hands in her lap with a soft yawn Chubbs MacKraken Chubbs smiled and kissed the top of her head, then leant over and scooped her small frame into his lap and rested her head on his shoulder. His stomach begged for some more but he thought he could hold out if he just focused on her. He wrapped his arms around her, and smiled, because for once, he got to say it first. " Love you Joliette" Joliette Rigiel "Love you too David" she whispered as she slowly started to fall asleep, she had indeed stayed up with the meat as it smoked over hte fire, so much seemed to be going wrong that she hadn't want to take chances Chubbs MacKraken He smiled and rubbed her shoulder softly, hoping to keep her warm. He rested his head against hers and felt like he should rest to, he was tired. He closed his eyes and tried to get some shut eye. Joliette Rigiel Joliette dozes off against him...
Her dreams, much like her nitemares, are plagued with what was to come of her future, The creature, moving along the riverbank , it's movements and flicks of tongue are vivid in her mind. Much to her dislike feeling very much real and natural. It's hunt for food, the scent that brings her along being carrion.
Some time later she stirs and begins to wake, the taste that fills her mouth rather strong considering dulling tastebuds. He opens her eyes, and her eyes look into the face of a small dark creature, it's eyes staring back unblinking. She sits up fast,a hand going to her mouth to keep from vomiting at the sight... a dead piglet, many holes piercing it's sides from claws and teeth....
She scoots backwards, and then she notices... Her hand, especially her claws have blood all over them, and her palm , she wipes at her face with her other hand shaking.. "Oh... my... god..." she says in a shaky voice and then screams and scrambles to the riverside to wash the blood from her hands and face. She has yet to realize just how far away from camp she is. Chubbs MacKraken Chubbs was snoring deeply against the tree, it was a bit loud for the position he was in. He woke himself up with a snort, wiping the drool from his cheek and looked around, rubbing his eyes. His little lap kitten was gone, and he started looking around the camp to find her. Joliette Rigiel Joliette shook as she scooped water to had face trying desperately to get the blood from her face and hands , trying to get rid of the taste in her mouth... It surprised her greatly that she had yet to have vomit from the event Chubbs MacKraken Chubbs looked around the whole camp, trying to find where Joliette had gone. He frowned and began calling out with his hands cupped near his lips " Joliette!!!" Joliette Rigiel "Down here" she calls from a good hundred feet away from camp along the river having just barely heard her name before she returns to cleaning herself still feeling absoluetly horified Chubbs MacKraken Chubbs blinks and turns around, trying to pin point where he had heard the faint glimpse of her voice. He started jogging along the river and finally saw her and his heart quit trying to leap out of his chest. He got down beside her and leaned down to see her as he patted her back. " What's wrong?, you okay?" Joliette Rigiel Joliette stopped and just left her hands in the edge of hte water and shook her head, she was shaking almost as if she had hte shivers, without looking over her shoulder she slowly points in the direction she had left the creature she had woken up next to. Chubbs MacKraken Chubbs looked over, getting to his knees to see what she was motioning to. The little piglet was ravaged in some ways, he guessed Joliette's reaction was because she did it. The instincts were getting crazy, it was a ******** up thing to deal with. Chubbs took her hand and motioned her to come with him. " Come on, lets get you back, I think I left the meat alone too" Joliette Rigiel Joliette nods and moves to stand, not daring to look behind her as she clung to him and let him lead, not trusting her voice just then, and just wanting to forget what she had done Chubbs MacKraken Chubbs lead her back to camp, holding his arms about her and decided not to speak. Meat to her was horrible, almost like eating a human, he quickly moved the wrapped meat aside and out of her view as he sat her down. Joliette Rigiel "I... I... Can't... believe I did that" she whispers, theres no way it could have been the git this time and she knew it. The thought of what she had done it sent a chill up her spine, she did not care that her belly wanted it, she did not. Chubbs MacKraken Chubbs brought her into his arms and onto his lap ans her tucked the meat parcel in beside him. She was in a bit of a shock, he couldn't blame her, waking up to that would be horrible. He stroked her hair a bit and sighed. " Our beliefs will change along with us.. I just hope you are okay" Joliette Rigiel Joliette nods and shivers "I don't want to change, he's making me... a polar opposite of what I was..." she whispers... She wasn't sure if she was ok just yet, she just wanted to wake up and find this whole experience was just a bad dream and she was on her yacht, not trapped on an island being experimented on Chubbs MacKraken " I know the feeling love... I do" Chubbs looked at his claws and stared at them for a while. He didn't want this as much as she did. Chubbs felt the anger start to well up again, he was still surprised how easily that happened. He then wrapped his arms around her. " I have you though" Joliette Rigiel "And for that I'm glad, I'm not sure I could do this alone, I think I would have killed myself before it was over..." She clings to him not wanting to leave his grasp Chubbs MacKraken Chubbs frowned and had to poke her lightly. He hated that kind of talk, he wouldn't hear it. Sure it had crossed his mind before but he'd never do it. " You would not have, you are strong, I mean look at you. Please don't talk like that again, just think on better things." Joliette Rigiel "Sorry" Joliette whispers, but thats all she says as with everything that had happened thus far, well she didn't feel all that strong or confident... Thusfar, David had helped her get past nearly every single problem she'd had as yet, very few of them he had not been there for. Chubbs MacKraken " I'm sorry to, it's okay I well... just don't want to think about that is all." He huggled her tightly, rubbing her back and shoulders, trying to help her to stop shaking. This place was getting to every one. including him. And he wondered if he would be worse of all. Joliette Rigiel Joliette slowly calmed in his grasp and she nodded. She closes her eyes holding tight to him and resting Chubbs MacKraken Chubbs did his best to keep her calm and relaxed. He eyed the meat, wanting some more but knowing the smell may get to her. PLus the others should be back soon and he had to share.

Oi! Strangeness Chubbs wriggled lightly, he felt sick, but more importantly, his bladder was about to burst. He looked down at Joliette, not wanting to disturb her, but there was worse things he could do right now. He gently scooped her up off his lap and placed her on the ground, resting her against the tree, then started a combination tip toe/waddle/run to get to the bushes. " Ah man, gottagogottagogottago!" Joliette opens her eyes and looks around, "David?" she asks getting up and picking up the wrapped buundle as her tongue flicks from her mouth looking for his scent Emerwyn stumbled along again, now that she left Lauren to absorb what she'd said. Lauren's presence, though having human company was what she needed right now, was only hurting her. And she was frightened of what Lauren said. Was Lauren serious about getting revenge on Julian on her behalf? And with the renewed silence, Emerwyn's mind began to wander again. The images swarmed in, all sinister and staring, mocking her fear. She watched the trees; they mocked her worst of all. And they were everywhere. She still hadn't found her way out. Desperately, she broke into a run. If she went on in one direction, she'd have to reach the end eventually. " Oh... my... god..... wooo!"
Chubbs thought back to the days he was back in Australia, and on his dressing table he use to have a small figurine of a cartoon dog peeing on a hydrant with the words on the base " How do you spell relief?".
He knew what that really meant now, he smiled lazily, really feeling the relief wash over him. His ears perked as he heard Joliette and he yelled out to her.
" Just drainin the main vein hun!"
His ears perked again, suddenly hearing bushes twitch, and looking around, he noticed a figure dash towards him. Joliette looked in the direction she heard his voice and smiled "Okay" she caled back relieved to know he was close. She didn't hear the sounds of another person in the brush. Emerwyn crashed into Chubb's and Joie's camp, not even noticing their presence. Just as soon as she was there, she was gone, a flash of green in the wood. She may have been heard mumbling to herself. "No... no, no..... where.... can't...." As she disappeared; splashes also rang out, as she stumbled into the river in her dazed dash to escape this evil jungle. Awen grinned a bit underwater seeing people back at the camp. She was in a sort of playful mood so she swam around, nothing but a dark shape under the surface of the water. She kicked at the water with one of her flipper-like feet. She would play the mysterious creature from the deep.
She chuckled to herself underwater wondering what they would think of it.Chubbs walked back into camp, his stomach wasn't feeling so great, he was feeling the hunger pains big time. It wasn't surprising the amount of food he saw at least bears eat, let alone the wolverine or devil. He pondered if he was growing three stomachs, oh that wasn't a good idea. He got back into camp, spying Joliette looking confused as he was, and his eyes suddenly latched onto the food parcel.
" I er... did umm....... oh yeah ah.. some one go pass?" Joli doesn't look up her yellow tongue flickering "Yeah... that way... it was Emerwyn" she moves her eyes to look towards him and they catch instead on a moving shape in teh water, tongue still flickering she shifts her weight to her knees crawling on all fours the few feet to the waters edge peering at hte water. She was trying very hard to ignore the beast inside herSeeing the figure close to the water. Must have been Joliette, the hair wasn't right colour for Lauren and Chubbs would have been a lot bigger. She swam away from the shore then oblivious to Joli's dangerous instincts, burst from the water right infront of her.
"Boo!"Chubbs freaked out when someone jumped out of the water and went " boo!" He suddenly crouched and sneered. He then blinked wide eyed, first at his reaction, second at the fact he reconised the person before them. Awen sure had changed but the blue hair gave it away. His jaw dropped for a second, then absent mindedly his hand came up and closed his mouth and he stood up.
" Hey... long time no see" Joliette jumps taking a clawed swipe at Awen as she falls over, handing half immersed in the water... her top halfher feet winding i nt the air shorts sliding up her legs a little bit of her nubby tail poking out from under the fabric . "Woah woah!" Awen did more or less what Joliette did after she took the swipe and fell back on her tail. Fortunately for Awen thoguh water cusioned her backside instead of rough earth.
She surfaced again and blinked. "Didn't mean ta scare ya that badly."
She looked between the two and smiled before walking up onto shore. Again the ground stood unevenly against her webbed feet. She walked around the camp and sat near the shards of glass. She then removed her pants without a word, her soaking wet gold and green spotted panties fine for them to see. At the moment she was thinking only one thing. Areo-dynamic.....or water-dynamics? She shook her head and grabbed one of the sharp pieced carefully and began to cut off most of the legs of her pants, making them into make-shift shorts.
"Couldn't find any fruit...sorry." She said, really not drawing too much attention to the fact that she changed without an injection. Or rather changed at all.Chubbs blinked as Joli nearly flattened Awen, only to flatten herself. He moved over to help her to her feet, dusting her off at the time. Chubbs gave a heart felt smile to Awen and waved lightly. It was good to see her again, even if it was without food. She had changed a fair bit, he still couldn't figure out quite what she was, she almost looked like an alien with little antanae. When she began to remove her pants, Chubbs blinked and almost gasped then tried not to stare. He looked back to Joliette and his fur blushed as he did, gaining a small shade of red. Every girl on this island was a looker, and he'd seen more undies and naked bodies in the last month than he'd seen in his life.Joli sputtered as David pulled her back to her feet. Her curly hair pulled straighter by the weight of the water. She coughs a few times and wipes the water from her face, her white shirt completely soaked from being immersed in the water She glanced back over. "Sorry Joli..." She didn't notice what had happened when she jumped up. "Aha..." She grinned a little bit at her new pair of shorts.
She put them on and nodded. "Yeah perfect." She then cut a small slit down each side of her top, because the webbing under her arm was starting to chafe.
She nodded looking around. Not much had changed since she left.Chubbs looked down at Joliette and stared, right at Joliette's chest. He first put his hands over her chest fist, to cover them up. He "gah'd" and slapped a hand over his eyes
" Ah hold on.. I umm... yeah"
Chubbs ran back over to the tree he rested at, then grabs hold of the make shift sling shot. He undid Joliette's bra and jogged back to her and handed it back.
" Sorry, I er.. didn't think of it earlier"
He started brushing the hair from her face and looked back to Awen, glad to see her pants back on, well.. kinda. Joliette takes the bra, and holds it up a little "Uh David love, you stretched it, I can't wear it anymore" she drops it and pulls the shirt loose from her chest and with some difficulaty works on wringing the extra water out Awen looked between Chubbs and Joli and chuckled. She shook her head a bit then suddenly remembered.
"Oh guys, I saw Amaya. She has a ground down...the river and off a fork and..er... Out there. Anyway we might be able to combine groups...they seem to be pretty well off. Me and Amaya figure that even if some of us have our differences.... that it's better to be together, survival wise, than seperate groups along the island." She paused and looked between the two. "But ya know we don't have to..if you guys..don't want to."Chubbs looked around a bit, putting the bra down and looked to Awen as he listened. Maybe it was a good idea, hopefully. All the trouble seem to come with their small group, he would love to see Amaya again anyway and hopefully not anyone that'd piss him off. He walked to wards Awen, he actually wanted to get to the tree behind her, but he walked up, grabbed one arm about her middle, being careful of her arms and picked her up in a hug and spun round once. He did it okay but he was noticing he was getting alot weaker with no food.
" Sounds like an alright idea"
He grabbed a big leaf off of the tree behind them and walked back to Joliette, she could put it under her shirt till it dried at least. He crouched down and offered it to her, letting her do it rather than him. Joliette looks at the leaf. The beast inside her taking one look at the leaf and rejecting it "Uh... what is that for David" she asks a bit confused at his purpose She laughed a bit as Chubbs spun her. She wobbled a bit when she was let down but was fine. She nodded and smiled glad that Chubbs at least agreed.
But her eyebrow also rose when she saw him offer Joliette the leaf. She blinked a little waiting to see what happened from here.Chubbs look awkward and tried to show her what he meant for the large leaf, pressing it against his chest. He whispered to Joliette.
" Umm you can use umm this, till like, ya ah shirts dry"
He placed it on her lap and picked up the meat parcel, looking at it for a moment, He really only wanted to hang onto it so Joliette didn't have to, but his stomach practially lept out of him to grab at it. He turned to Awen and held out the parcel.
" You umm, mind holding this?... I don't think I have the willpower to hold out" Joliette blinks "I am not putting a leaf in my shirt David..." she puts the leaf to one side and pulls her top off, Awen was female, and David.. well he'd seen her in a LOT less. She was losing her modesty over time, and this was just a sign of it, she tries to wring hte shirt out better , but has a rather hard time with the lessened amount of dexterity in her hands "David would you please wring this out" she says not noticing at hte time his back was turned some as he handed the smoked meat to Awen Awen took the parcel of meat and frowned a little. He was getting to be....Well they all were getting to be a smigen bit weaker from the male nutrition. But Chubbs definately seemed weaker, had he wavered from the spin? About to protest she heard Joli speak so she stopped. For now she just took the parcel but made a mental note to make him eat more later. Now that they had a more reliable way to fish, something that couldn't be broken by dumb luck...she hoped... they would probably be able to eat more and not have to worry about the boar meat running low.Chubbs looked down at Joliette and quickly shot his eyes to her shirt. He'd not been able be alone with her for a while and it was getting to him. He usually didn't worry about it so much, but he took the shirt and tried to get the mental images of everyone in their underwear out of his head. His fur gre a copper colour to it, it was strange, seeing it like that. He grabbed Joliette's shirt and twisted it tightly in his grip, wriging the water out. His tail begain to wiggle and he hoped that he could think of something else fast. He even adjusted his boxers. "Thankyou love" she says when he hands it back to her, She pulls it on, it didn't stick quite so bad. She turns to look at her friend "Woah... you definetaly look different then when you left camp... Are you ok?" Awen looked up at Joliette then back at herself. Yeah...she waschanged. And okay? She honestly felt..better than she had for a long time. She stepped closer to the two and handded Chubbs back the parcel. "Eat..." She said under her breath to him. "You need it."
"Yeah... I was back at the village..checking things out myself. I passed out and woke up inthe lake. Then...well" She held out her webbed arm in a gesture. "I don't know how it happened. There's no needle mark and there's no one to inject me anyway. That...sort of worries me."
After biting her lip a moment she smiled. "But it's great really. I... well.... I don't hate the water anymore. I don't have to be afraid going into it. Really I'm feeling great. Being able to speed through the water, and I don't feel I'm done changing yet. And I can catch more fish for us without too much hastle."
She really seemed different. Her composure and tone all held an air of confidence she never really had before. After all the whole just taking off her pants infront of them would be an indication of her newfound confidence.Chubbs stood up as Awen got closer and cleared his throat out of nervousness, he was still Chubbs with all this fur was gone. He looked at the meat and his fur went from copper to red when he blushed at her comment. She was right, he should eat, but he was afraid he wouldn't stop.
He took out a small piece and smelt it, it was okay, not a bad smell, so he took a bite and chewed it quietly. His stomach rumbled big time when he chewed and he blushed even brighter.
" I ahh... sorry"
He loved the taste and listened as Awen explained her changes and he smiled. He was glad she seemed happy with her changes, she did look kinda cute.
" I think it umm.. looks alright, figure out what you are yet?" "Go for it love... you know how I am..." he slightly bt her lip and then stopped, her yellow tongue flickered and she picked up the carrion the 100 some feet from where they were, She did NOT want to listen to her rumbling belly ... or her beastly instinctsShe smiled to see that Chubbs was eating and Joliette agree with her decision. She went to sit back by the water, it was..more comfortable.
"I think so. But I don't know what it's called." She drew a little picture in the dirt. It was crude but effective in Awen's mind at least. "It's pretty neat I think."Chubbs tilted his head and and looked at the drawing as he helped dust Joliette down, maybe he just liked patting her. He did a circle of the picture and then it hit him, he pointed excitedly.
" Oh oh, that's a sting ray... umm.. wait no... ah... mm.. manta ray, that's it... the ones with like wings... wow... that's a kinda cool animal."
Chubbs smiled at Awen, she seemed happy with the choice at least, he was feeling worried for both him and Joliette though. Then he realised that the ray was aquatic and he looked at Awen in concern.
" Wait... how... you gonna be out of water?" Joliette knew the creature as well, but obviously not as well as David did, she didn't say anything but nod and smile softly. "Yeah the water will be very imporant for you if you are one of those, how will you be out?" this made her curious too Awen barely had time to register the name of what she was becoming before she froze. She hadn't really thought about that. How will she survive out of the water if she changes more. She knows her skin gets dry and crackley outside of water for long but it seemed that was the least of her worries.
How will she ever be able to hang out with anyone? Interact with them....get into relationships. Awen's heart sank. "I...don't know."Chubbs winced, Awen looked so happy not long agao and then BAM! he kileld the mood. He gave the meat to Joliette in her hand, and took her other in his. With a light squeeze of her hand, he drew them both closer to Awen so he could wrap his arm about her shoulders. He gave her a bit of a hug and smiled to her.
" Hey.. bears like fish.. I'll be round ya all the time, we can be fishin buddies"
He thought on that and realised it was a shitty way to cheer her up, he thought on something better.
" How bout we go to this other camp place of yours hmm? see who else will flash their chest and undies at me?"
He smirked at both the girls at that. "There has to be a way for you, we just have to find it thats all" Joli says softly trying to keeo Awen's spirits up. She took the meat hesitantly and looked at it, her belly grumbling even louder at her Awen sort of smiled at the fishin' buddies comment. She didn't think that was a shitty way to cheer her up added with Joliette's hopefulness she found herself fully smiling.
Then the bomb of the panites and bra joke was dropped and she laughed out loud and leaned back into Chubbs' arm enjoying the comfort.
"Well..." She said after she was done laughing. "It would be a good idea if I knew where the camp was. I'm having Amaya clear it with the people at her camp first. I'm meeting her again tomorrow...and I think we should talk to Lauren first too. And.... I'll go tell teh beach group about it too. Despite our differences and disagreements" She said looking to Joliette a little. "....we all need to survive."" oh yeah... Luzza... where did she get to?"
Chubbs wondered that, but he smiled hearing Awen laugh, it made him feel alot better. He gave both girls a big hug together, they kind of felt all wet and slippery and he had to not think about that too much.
Giving them both a kiss on top of the head he let go and went to go sit back down for a bit under a tree, wiggling about and adjusting his tail.
" Okay, the morning then, hopefully... just hope I don't meet with one's I don't like... damn temper is scaring me lately" "Personally, I wouldn't complain if the slag dropped off the face of hte earth, but so long as she stays AWAY from me, perhaps joining groups is a good idea" Joli sighs when her belly sounds again "I think I'm going to go find something I can eat" and she moves to stand up She sighed a little bit and nodded. "Well see you later then Joliette. Don't go too far, if you can't find anything I can always snag a fish for ya okay?" She smiled and waved slipping more into the water to ease the itching that started across her skin.Chubbs looked up at Joliette and watched her about to head off into the wilderness to find food. He was a bit worried about her lately, but it also brought about an idea. He sat up again and leaned over to Awen and smiled.
" Just gonna go keep an eye on her okay?.. promise i'll be back soon"
He made his way over to Joliette to go hunting with her. Joliette smiled and nodded to her friend "Be not afraid, I wont... I've been lost in this jungle before I dont wish to repeat the experience..." And then she notices David move to join her "Thanks love..." "Oh.." She turned to face the two from in the water. "Sure have fun you two." She waggled a finger at them. "And be careful."
She crouched lower into the water covering everything up to her neck. She just felt weird outside of the water and the itch had spread higher already. As she sat in the water and watched them go she wondered... just how was she going to have fun with others later on if this gets worse.
Something insdie her though didn't mind the solitude. Something enjoyed it. But how far would that manta instinct take her.

Meeting Timothy Joliette Rigiel Joli took his hand after David did "Here as hte camp? well we've been here a while, here as the isle... we've been here since early November" she smiles "It's good to meet you too, it's nice to meet people in similar positions as I am in" Chubbs MacKraken Chubbs smiled happily, a little red in the face and nearly purring as he held Joliette's hand. He tugged up his waist band a little, fixing it up with his free hand and looked down at the small but gorgeous girl beside him. He almost forgot what he'd been doing out here in the first place, helping Joliette find food. His nose, which he was still trying to get use to didn't pop up anything on the nosedar that was food worthy, but at this point in time, his hunger was overidden by a sheer abundance of infactuation. Joliette Rigiel Joliette's tongue flickered her mind no partially on food "God I needed that" she mused quietly and then made a face when her yellow split tongue brought back the scent of a skunk. "Ew..... yuck!" Joli didn't like the smell her senses got "David lets get away from this smell" she says giving his hand a tug Timothy Matthews Despite trying very hard he couldn't get all of the smell out. He'd spent a few hours at the beach but it wasn't going to come completely out. He was now a skunk that smelled like... a skunk all the time. He walked away from the beach and made his way to the location that Awen had said. After a bit of a walk he arrived there. Timothy had found the camp everyone supposably set up, strangely... empty? He sat near the obvious camp sight and hung out there. He was waiting for someone to show up. Chubbs MacKraken Chubbs chuckled and blushed a little at her comment. his fur turning a lil red with his skin. When he heard Joliette make a fuss over a smell, he raised a brow and like an idiot, decided to see what it was like. With a sniff, Chubbs winced and followed Joliette with the tug. Chubbs smelt something else though, it was like... food. He went towards the smell, ushering Joliette. " Wait there's something... there" Peering into the campsite stood a figure and he looked like.... oh man... it was him. Chubbs looked at Joliette and whispered. " Looks like we have a guest?" Joliette Rigiel Joliette looked at the male, her emerald eyes lighting upon the striped tail, no doubt about it, he was yet another one of Moreau's unfortunate dubjects... and from teh looks of what he was becoming, was the original source of hte smell. "I doubt he's harmful, not in teh way that I could be, or you" she motioned her own sharp claws, and with that she stepped into the camp "Hello?" Timothy Matthews Timothy jumped up suprised "Ahhh! I mean... hey, how's it going." He blushed a bit, though it wasn't obvious under the fur. "I'm Timothy... a... I mean I was... I mean I was trying to be a musician." Timothy shrugged "I was pointed to perhaps come here by Awen. She said you guys... sort of have a camp. Sorry about the smell." Timothy sighed. "I just changed and... yeah... it happened." he looked... innocent enough. Chubbs MacKraken Chubbs stepped up with Joliette, he still held onto Joliette's hand. He was still a bit nervous meeting new people. " Oh a ... hiya there.... names Chubbs.. and um this is Joliette" Chubbs motioned to her with a smile " Well umm the smell well... don't worry bout it okay, I mean if you can handle me being half naked ... well round ya... I think I can handle the smell.... sorry it happened ... tim was it?" chubbs was breathing through his mouth at the time. He smelt bad himself, he hadn't had a shower in days, so he wasn't gonna be mean to this guy. Joliette Rigiel Joliette smiled softly "Yeah I'm Joliette, and you know, you'll never stop being a musician, no matter what they do to us, theres always something we'll be able to keep, even if one can't practise, one still is" She looked around the otherwise empty camp "Welcome to our camp" she nods and looks back to him Timothy Matthews "Hey, thanks..." Timothy smiled over at Jolliette, she was right of course. He'd done more with his music here than he had actually done before. But still... a skunk musician. "Still, good to meet you guys. I've been here for sometime." Timothy extended a clawed hand. Chubbs MacKraken Chubbs took the hand and in his own clawed one and shooke it firmly. He offered a bit of a smile and hoped the guy wasn't too offended by his appearance. " We've been here for a bit too... but ah... this camp site of ours? feels like a week almost since I woke up on log in the jungle" Chubbs didn't feel so nervous, but he guessed that being in your underwear in front of a person has to be pretty close to the most embaressing thing to happen to you. And he seemed to be fine with it. Joliette Rigiel Joli took his hand after David did "Here as hte camp? well we've been here a while, here as the isle... we've been here since early November" she smiles "It's good to meet you too, it's nice to meet people in similar positions as I am in" Timothy Matthews Timothy sympathized because he was also only wearing his shorts. He'd left the rest of his smelly clothing behind. His black and white undershorts matched him pretty well. "Awen was nice, so I assume if she liked you guys you'd be a good place to go. Besides, I can't really... face... Vasile." Timothy said this with a half nervous look. "I arrived with Hargun, if you guys know her. How'd you get here?" he attempted to half smile. Chubbs MacKraken Chubbs had to think a little to remember the name, it took him a while, but the name eventually brought a face to it. " Oh the bat girl!.. yeah, I ah know her a little bit, she was pretty nice. Oh and Awen is great, she seems to be pretty happy lately, glad you met her. Chubbs considered the person Tim mentioned, wondering if it was someone he'd yet to meet. By the looks of things the name came with some problems. HE wasn't going to push it further though. Joliette Rigiel "I know Hargun, she was the first islander I truly met when I got here. Well outside of seeing Vasile on the beach from the yacht... I was a reporter for the World Weekly News a photograpghic journalist, I went looking for Vasile, I didn't believe he was dead, I wanted to expose his fake death... and got more then I bargained for" Joli said to answer his question Timothy Matthews "Ahhh... I didn't really know much about him till I got here." he smiled for a moment. "But he is cute though..." Timothy realized what he'd said and stuttured. "I mean... how is Hargun? I haven't seen her in a while." "Wouldn't it figure I'd get social after this happened." there was a half grin there. Chubbs MacKraken Chubbs chuckled a little and rubbed the back of his head with a tinge of a blush. " Yeah I know the feeling hey... specially now, nothing gets ya closer to people than hanging about in ya undies hey? He grinned and chuckled again and now finally realised the name that Tim and Joliette mentioned. She had told him before, he just forgot. Chubbs rose a little bit of a brow when Tim mentioned the guy happened to be cute. Joliette Rigiel Joliette chuckles at Davids' words before replying to Timothy "Last time I saw Hargun was before all this happened and we got locked out. She was pretty good last time I did talk to her though" Timothy Matthews "So, how'd you all end up here? I mean, Moreau had a twisted sense of irony with both me and Hargun." he chuckled. Timothy shook his head. "I stink the stage up (litterally) and she can't draw anymore. I guess in a way I got the better end of the deal though." "What the hell has been going on anyway?!?" Timothy realized there was a lot that was unanswered for him. Chubbs MacKraken Chubbs realised he wasn't taking a breath, and so took another one. he good taste the smell on the air a bit, but it couldn't be as bad as how Joliette would feel, she smelled with her tongue. Chubbs thought about his situation, he really didn't think he had an ironic situation. Maybe he was just dense, so he explained to Tim. " Well I needed cash to do up a gym for some street kids, I came here for a boxing match and well, here I am." Chubbs stroked his chin and thought more about his situation. " Well nothing to ironic so to speak, umm... I found out I'm like three animals, a grizzly, tasmanian devil and a wolverine... nothing that would like er... well they are prone to anger... maybe that's it" Chubbs brushed his hand down Joliette's back as he looked over Tim, his stomach rumbled a little. " I just woke up in the jungle after sleep, the place is locked up tight and there's no staff around that I can see" Joliette Rigiel "I got stuck here when my journalistic curiousity sent me hunting down teh truth behind Vasile's disappearance and I fell for the git's movie rouse... but yeah, it's all locked down, no power, no nothing" she nods Timothy Matthews "Yeah... sort of knew that. Just wondering if anyone had found out any more info. What's going on and all." he looked around. "If we've been locked down how did I change too. I thought we had injections for that. That's what that smell was about, I sort of, lost control during my change." he looked... very embarrased. Chubbs MacKraken Chubbs walked over and patted Tim on the shoulder, Chubbs felt the change first hand, it was a terrible thing. " I heard tomato juice or something like that gets rid of it. Pitty the cafeteria is closed... that and I'm freakin hungry" Chubbs pulled up the back of his boxers and looked around. " It ain't much but it's somethin, least we got water, a lil bit of food... umm and who knows.. maybe the umm musk thing will go away eventually" Joliette Rigiel "I think there is a little but of smoked meat left, it's probably on the end of it's life... but it's better then nothing, want some?" she asks the newcomer, the less she had to deal with the meat the better, she was already fighting her instincts, she refused to accept them Timothy Matthews "I don't wanna eat your food guys!" Timothy said, then darted his eyes. "I sort of have been surviving on bugs." After he let it sink in he stopped and gave a soft "heh." Timothy wasn't hungry, but he was really tired. You could see it in his face and expression. This whole ordeal had really taken a lot of out of him. Chubbs MacKraken Chubbs grinned and motioned to the ground, it'd have to do. He really wished he had blankets, even with his fur, Chubbs was feeling the cold. " Pull up a spot boyo, ya welcome to anything , I mean ... err... just quit being stubborn and eat something" Chubbs gave a grin to show he was just messing with the guy, but his teeth probably didn't help the situations. Chubbs realised he should be taking a page out of his own book, he was getting paler each day, and lighter. Even though his desire to Joliette wwas strong, it wasn't like it use to be, it scared him. Joliette Rigiel "Our camp is your camp" Joli says quietly and sits near te dying fire and nods looking up at Timothy "We all have to work together so dont worry abou tit" Timothy Matthews Timothy chewed on a little bit of jerky, but very soon felt the tiredness overcome him. "Hey, if it's okay with you guys, I'm just gonna go lay down." he felt embarrased, and that he was being a little rude, but he needed the sleep. Timothy curled up a bit, the tail sticking out obviously and very soon was very fast, and very quietly asleep. Chubbs MacKraken Chubbs nodded to Tim as he headed down to take a kip, He didn't blame him, even with all the small bouts of sleep he was having, he was getting more and more tired. Chubbs walked over towards Joliette and wrapped his arms around her, leaning down to kiss her lips and whispered. " I probably smell just as bad with out a shower" He really needed one, and a shave, his beard was getting bigger and he hated being so fuzzy, funny that. " Could do with a kip myself" Joliette Rigiel Joliette nods and cuddles against him closing her eyes "I think we all could" she says with a smile and takes that opportunity to go to sleep
