Ren reactivated his Byakugan and moved quickly to the large quartz stone again. He placed both hands on the stone and performed the same style in molding stone.
It took Ren two minutes to regain focus on the quartz stone. Eventually he was able to smooth out the edges of the large stone into a perfect rectangle with the aid of his chakra and the stone's chakra.

"Good, good. Here, try this." Again, Iwa broke off a piece of his skin this time, the stone was Topaz. "It's shape and flow is much different, make it into a Fuuma Shuriken."

Ren turned to Iwa and spotted the Topaz stone in his hand. His Byakugan recognized the difference in it's chakra flow compared to regular stone and quartz stone.

"Yes, I'm sure you can realize this is a bit more complicated. Do your best, the shuriken should be big enough to easily carry on your back."
He stopped. Tossing the small stone at Ren.
"And who's this Meesha?"

Ren caught the stone while replying, "Meesha's a strange thing, I can only see her because of my bloodline."
He gripped the topaz stone before letting it rest in his palm. Ren was staring at it.

Ren sat down and continued to stare at the topaz stone's inner structure. It was very complicated and had several chakra paths flowing through it. A regular stone only had one source of chakra inside it to manipulate.
This stone had several paths to alter and mold.

This is going to be difficult I think..
Ren placed both hands on either side of the topaz stone and tried to apply the same technique to molding a stone's shape. He forced his own chakra into the topaz stone's inner structure and found out that it wouldn't change that easily. The stone didn't change shape.

Ren's Byakugan was focusing on the different chakra paths that the topaz stone had. With both hands touching either side of the stone, Ren channeled his chakra with great output into the paths. The topaz stone was reacting by shaking and slowly changing form.

The topaz stone was starting to extend and branch off into four curved blades. Ren was already changing it's shape into a Fuuma Shuriken. Several seconds later he had forced the topaz to completely change into a Fuuma Shuriken. Big enough to place onto his back.
Ren held the completed topaz shuriken and stuck it in the ground.

He held up his hand and pointed two fingers.
"Drawing minerals from the earth, and Capturing your opponent."

"Precisely. It's not so much a process of making your own stones, its more like using your chakra to individually draw out the hardest material you can find, and create a defense with it. If you can't use that, then lump together a bunch of earth."
He paused again.
"First however, you need to feel the earth, like you did before. Admittedly, this is hard, since most of the materials you'd want are deep withing the earths crust. The more you do this, the faster the it is to create a shield. To illustrate a point, in order to draw the stone up faster, it would be wise to already alter the area in which you want to draw the defense, making that earth softer than the earth around it, so it's easier to pull up this strategic move."

He paused again.
"Once you finish practicing with rocks, pulling up materials and all, you should fight someone in the main dojo. Or otherwise. I You have just moved up in Rank, congratulations. Now, you'll need to find a new element to study."
With that, Iwa covered himself in Crystal and sank into the earth.
