~We're starting a recon and regrouping mission soon. You'll be needed eventually, but no, if that's all the info you have that's all I need. I've been busy in the office finally sorting through the entirety of each previous dojo...you could say powering myself up. Anyway.~

6 large clouds of smoke arose around Kaimen as metal clones of himself stood in a circle.

~Direct these guys as you will, they'll understand even if you say 'fix the blade' once it's done, they're gone. As am I. Take Care.~

With that, Kaimen sank into the ground, leaving his clones behind awaiting verbal instruction.

((You can RP them))

Dalcon mutters incoherently, nuzzling into her wing. "Mom..."he repeats. "This...not normal..."

(( Okie doke! ))

Recon and regrouping? I understand why we might need a recon mission, but what's this about regrouping? Finding old members of the Academy, maybe?

Iri just nods to Kaimen as he leaves. There's not much else that needs to be said. Then she turns her attention to the metal clones.

"Okay. I need one of you to make sure the grassfire is out. The rain didn't let it go far, but I want to make sure it doesn't smolder and gain strength again. The rest of you, if you would, start fixing the windmill blade. That's all I have for you."

Just as Kaimen said, the clones went to work. Iri watches them for a few moments. The one clone puts out what's left of the fire and stirs up earth all around the charred area to make sure there are no embers left. The other five use what's left of the broken blade to repair it. As the five work, the sixth eventually joins them. Iri never moves from her spot, though. She just sits there with Dalcon, monitoring the construction, her environment in case a new threat appears, and occasionally glancing down at the boy.

*At Dalcon's words, Iri blanches. She looks down at the boy with wide eyes. "Uh, kid? I ain't your mom. Hate to burst your bubble, but..."

((* Had to edit that in last minute. That's why it seems disjointed. ^_^ ))

A small figure stands in the distance, watching the two carefully, a dull umbrella held over the little girl's head.

For a moment, he looks hurt and confused, blinking with glowing emerald eyes as he looks up with her. He shakes his head, touching one of her feathers lighty. He looks somewhat cross, though it's rather obvious that it's a front. "I know. Of course not. But I remember- Mom was an angel, too."

A memory drifts up from the back of Iri's mind. She softly smiles and shakes her head. Those glowing eyes, and being confused for an angel. So familiar.

Iri runs a hand over the feathers above her head. One feels loose. She tugs at it and hands the feather to Dalcon. "Sorry, but I'm no an angel. I'm something else. The name and story of my breed was lost a long time ago. I just know that I'm not an angel, and I'm not human."

The avian can feel eyes on her, but she's not sure from which direction it's coming.

Dalcon drops all pretense of being tough and sets about braiding the feather into his hair. Now, this would be an odd enough sight, even if the boy -weren't- covered in daedric brain matter.
"I know better," he says simply. "Shower...where?"
PostPosted: Tue Jul 28, 2009 10:24 pm

The sight is odd. Iri doesn't say anything about it, though. In Iri's clan, giving someone a feather is symbolic, having different understood meanings. As far as she knows, it could have a totally different meaning and set of customs for angels and therefore Dalcon. Oh well.

"Go inside, and take the stairs down to the basement. Go straight down the hall. There are two doors labeled as men and women's restrooms. Inside, they're kind of like locker rooms. Lots of shower stalls, bathroom stalls, and lockers for your clothes and bathing supplies. I'll show you the way."

And Iri gets up. She finally catches sight of her little spy. Iri smiles at what she thinks might be Syn. Then she turns around and heads inside. She'll go straight to the doors leading to the restrooms, walking slow enough for Dalcon to keep up.

"When he was a student here, he could do things with electricity," Dalcon says as he plods alongside her, worn out from all the drama and trauma. He frowns, trying to remember and clearly not liking the subject he's chosen. "Mom said he used to keep a pine needle braided in his hair... it was a last ditch tool, or weapon, but more than that, it sort of signified how attached he was to the forest. I'm attached to angels," he says, some of his true, kindhearted boyish nature again showing through the stern way he was raised. Perhaps he is starting to accept things as they are, or trying to.

Or maybe he's trying to keep his mind off the fact that he's doused in brain matter.

((Sorry I left you hanging, Iri, the net where I was at went shoddy...))
PostPosted: Wed Jul 29, 2009 12:36 am

(( I figured your net got "wonky" again. So I've been entertaining myself with TekTek up til now. XD ))

The sudden willingness to speak of his father surprises the avian. It's a good sign, though. Maybe his situation, and all of his negative feelings, are more easily fixed than what Iri originally thought. Iri smiles at the boy as she walks through the first hall of her Dojo's basement. It's an encouraging smile.

"I never knew Reeve did that, but it sounds like him. First time I spoke to him, it was in the forest surrounding the Main Dojo. I had spent too much energy using a technique I had just invented. It was stupid to practice it alone. The force of the attack threw me against a tree and I passed out from chakra exhaustion. He told me later that he found me, because he had felt a nearby chakra signature nearly die and went to help it out."

The avian stops in front of two doors. They're clearly labeled.

"Alright, I need to get cleaned up myself. Just turn down this hall to your right and you'll find the dorm rooms. Mine is marked with a name plate. You can take the one next to it, so you can find me if you need me. Jin should be around here somewhere if you can't find me. Later!"

With that, Iri shoves open a door and walks into the shower room. Gads, it's gonna be nice to get rid of the stench of blood and guts.

Tier Krahe

A crow could be seen flying very quickly towards the Kaze Dojo. The crow had a single yellow eye. It flew inside through the Kaze Dojo's entrance and located Jin sleeping in his room. The crow turned into a shadow and slipped underneath the door's crack before reforming back to a crow.

The crow flew on Jin's head while kicking several times at his face. It and opened it's mouth; Tier's voice came out of the shadow bird, "You are needed for a mission, Ryu Jin. Report to the Main Dojo immediately." The bird dispersed into a shadow and slipped off the bed onto the ground before it sank into nothing.

Dalcon gives a grateful sigh as he steps into the shower, letting the warm water wash off dirt, stress, blood, and who knows what else. Burdened by the weight of it all, he stares down at the drain, letting the water drench him. Bathing and rinsing it all away, he sort of lingers in the water for bit before digging through the closet for a towel and the only thing that seems to fit him- an old, threadbare linen yukata. He dries off and shakes his head, watching his hair poof into the loose, vaguely spikey bangs it always does, braids in his feather and ties on the robe before stepping back out.

Jin had awoken and started to slap at the bird. But his hand stayed itself when he heard it speak. Jin blinked.

"Oi. Guess it's time fer me ta be leavin'."

The dragon man hops out of bed and grabs his armor from its place next to the wall. He quickly suits up and equips himself with his sword last. Jin takes Iri's amethyst out of a hidden pocket within the armor to inspect it. The stone faintly glows and is a little warm. As she had ordered, Jin has been feeding his energy to the stone. He cuts off the flow of energy now. Time to get going.

"Teach, yer yellow-eyed comrade summoned me. Ah'm to report to the Main Dojo. Orders?"

Iri is still in the shower room. She's dressed, but this time in a sarong and a strap shirt instead of hakama. And she's dressing the wound on her arm. Violet eyes narrow as she listens to Jin.

"Tier has already given you your orders. I know we haven't had time for much. But you can improvise with what you've learned. Just make sure to monitor your chakra and watch your back. Remember what I told you about Genjutsu?"

"Yes, ma'am."

"Good. Take it to heart. I've never learned any forms of Genjutsu, so all I could teach you was the little defense I've been taught. Good luck and be careful, Jin."

"Of course! Over and out, Miss Kaze!"

Jin nods to himself and exits his room. He clears the basement and the Dojo's main room. Then he walks outside and makes his way to the train.

Iri smiles at the nickname. Then she makes her way out of the lady's room just in time to meet Dalcon.

"Jin just left to meet Tier. I had hoped you'd have another guy to talk to for a while, but I had forgotten he'd be going on a mission soon. Oh well. Now, let's get you a room. I'm sure you're tired."

With that, Iri starts walking in the direction of the Kaze dorms.

Syn stands in the hallway of the Kaze dorms, still dripping water as she stares at Iri, her eyes wide and piercing. In simple terms, she's being creepy as hell as she waits for Iri.

Iri feels eyes on her once again. She takes her attention away from Dalcon to look at the source, which is directly ahead of her now. The avian blinks. Even now, she's not exactly used to the antics of the violet-eyed girl. And it's so damn hard to tell if she means to be creepy in a mean way, or if it's just the way the spirit plays with people.

"Uh, hi there, Syn!" Iri takes in her soaked state. "You need a towel there, sweets?"

One hand comes out to signal Dalcon to stop. Iri isn't sure as to how he'll react to the girl.
