Dreiyan heard the knock and sent a construct to open the door as he continued to work in the workshop/lab. Many odd instruments and vials were on the table he worked at, Dreiyan had abandoned human digits in favor of his more delicate crystal hands as he worked with something held suspended over a beaker of some odd liquid.
A crystal construct about waist height answered the door. It was a dark orange and somewhat transparent with a light glowing inside the chest area, other than it's height it appeared humanoid. "Greetings Lance, Dreiyan is in the lab. Follow me please." The voice intoned in an empty-trying-to-sound-happy voice.

lance followed the construct into the lab noticing dreyian working with chemicals he figured it best to wait till he was done handling them to speak.

"Hello Lance. Interested in the poison are you? I've been trying to, as usual, make a cure for it but I couldn't even find a thing to even suppress it much less cure it. It can't even be used for anything but poison, which does have it's uses in the battlefield. About the only interesting thing I found was that burning this turns the poison into a smoke cloud which is most certainly as deadly as its liquid form." He snapped off the ends of his crystal fingers and discarded them in a receptacle. In a short while his regular hands were back in sight. "Anything specific you were interested in?" He asked as he dismissed the construct, which glided away into an alcove in the nearby wall. The usual sweet smell of the room was laced with a nasty and bitter smell, probably from the poison experiments. "Do not worry, I have this place well ventilated and sealed, the air isn't toxic although that stuff leaves a nasty stench."

he looked at dreyian "well i cant think of anything about the posion but i am intrested on how you work those crystals" he looked at the crystal hands in the bin "they seem very useful"

"They are. It is because I am made of them. I'm not a living creature anymore, Completely made of the earth itself. So I have natural control over all earths minerals and can bend them to my will. The Earth is alive, so all you have to do is talk with it and listen, but if you ask in hopes to wield the same power as I do you probably can't. It's more of a curse anyway." He looked at Lance impassively with his stony eyes as he grew two long fingers of crystal and plucked the blackened slide of the poison and placed it within a clear liquid filled vial, which instantly turned black.

Dreiyan made it back to his room in short time. He strode through the main room and off into his workshop through the linked door. "About time. Thought this would eat through everything I had before I got it to work." He made his way over to a solitary table fastened to the ground and pulled out a blackened orb with his bare hands from a liquid filled container. As soon as it hit the air any liquid clinging to the orb froze and fell away, leaving a solid black orb about the size of a tennis ball. It's surface looked like liquid but the entire thing was solid and as heavy as a cinderblock. "Perfect. Now I can really find out how to use this stuff. He locked the orb into a iron harness and proceeded to test it.

One of Dreiyan's many constructs informed him that Lance was outside. He had him show Lance in promptly. "Hello Lance, need anything?" He said as he sent electricity into the orb, he had to shut it off quickly, the orb just kept absorbing the power and he didn't want anything to short out.

"Oh it's just what I was messing with before. Finally got Ivan's poison to retain a somewhat solid form and now I can perhaps use it for something. Havn't figured it out yet though." He touched a piece of wood to the orb and it immediately started rotting on the spot. "It's still as deadly as ever...and I even diluted it."

lance sighed "i doubt its going to dilute much what did you dilute it with because it might not mix with what you diluted it with"

Just regular water, the orb used to be a gallon of water and less than half a drop of the poison, now look at it. This stuff grows by itself and eats at everything it touches. It even absorbs energy." He looked at it gravely. "Its a good thing it has a growth limit though, biggest this thing can get in solid form is about basketball size."

"well then dreyian maybe another fluid could contain it more something more dense so the poison is restricted more?" lance pondered for a second "there is a substance called heavy water out there you can make it from water but its about 5x as dense"

"I suppose I should try it out to see how it differs. But density is no problem. It's the poison's ability to change and expand something that I have to work with. A certain amount of Ivan's poison can corrupt and change a certain amount of water. If it were something else who knows how big or small it could get? I used water because of how basic it is as a test." He stopped a moment, checking a few gauges monitoring the orb. "The most interesting thing I found out about this stuff is that it's a perfect mix of magic and biochemistry! His poison isn't enchanted with a spell or a curse, it is actually *part* magic, he's perfectly fused with it. Which is why this poison does so much more than anything else I've ever seen. I believe the way to finding a cure lies in reversing the flow of its magic, not the physical poison itself." Dreiyan realised he had gone off on a scientist's rant and hoped he had not left Lance behind.
