The combination of Luna's wider wing span and Cinnamon's constant acrobatics made closing the gap quite simple.

Luna dropped down from above Cinnamon tapped her lightly on the head with the tip of her tail then zipped away, laughing. "Tag!"

Laughing, she pumped her wings, and took off after Luna.

They played together for the rest of the day, making very slow progress toward their destination. When the sun started to set, Luna, laughing, pulled the playing to a halt by spiraling downward to find somewhere to camp for the night.

When Luna landed, she moved aside so Cinnamon could do the same. "It's getting dark," she panted, breathless from all their playing. "We should rest."

"Oh, right," she said, breathless herself. He mouth took over, swearing as she landed, and having forgotten, putting her weight on her injured foot.

She gave her friend a very warm and grateful smile before easing herself into a laying position. "this is nice," she said softly.
