Amalis started to stalk the chickens. "Scits! Stop it..." His ear went back and he came sluking back to Serenus.

"Hello? Is anyone here?" Radiaas called out, a scrawny old man in dirty robes stepped out of the central building. "Hello! Hello hello! Welcome to Blackstone! I'm the mayor here," the old man called out.

"What bring you to our village? If it's our famed black powder you're after, our pyrochemist was killed," The old man say solemnly. "No, we're just passing through, on our way to Anntherallah," Radiaas said. "Oh, you can't go there, that's the source of all our troubles, when the black robed man went to the lighthouse, the sea-beasts started to come inland," the old man said. "It is vitally important that we retrieve the artifact hidden in the ancient lighthouse." "Go then, but don't say I never warned you."

Aura stepped out into the light of the Farmlands. She had been staying in the DarkOak woods for over a week, resting and gathering food. She stayed close to the woods, going around instead of using the main road through the farmlands into The City. Too dangerous, with Hunters scattered around the grounds. Aura stretched and warmed her skin while walking.
After a while, she mentally kicked herself for not trading for a horse. Aura sat down and rubbed her aching feet, deciding to rest for a while. "Only a little ways left..."
~~~~~
Aura entered the gates into the City, blending into the crowd of people walking the streets of the Slum. She watched the Humans carefully and walked slowly along, enjoying the company of people. A young man leaning against a small stone building eyed her, staring foolishly at her body. Aura smiled in amusment and worked her way over to him. He opened his mouth to say something to her, but shut it quickly when she flashed her teeth at him and growled. He quickly went on his way. She laughed to herself and took his spot against the wall, then began counting her coins and making a mental list of all the things she could trade.
Neer looked over to Radiaas, and turned her head to the side. She then peered down at herself, laden with weapons, and checked each individually. Nothing was out of place, and her small food rations were holding from her small hunting trips during the night. She never ate what others fed her, even if they could be trusted. "I require nothing from this village."
Near dark, Aura sat on the dirt road outside the city. She was busy staring up, the stars were just now showing themselves in the blueish-purple haze of the sky. "They're beautiful aren't they?" She asked her new companion. A bay mare, quietly grazing behind her. Aura had blown all the coins she had left after buying vegetables, paying for the animal, but it was worth it. Her feet still ached horribly, and her heels bled. She thought it a wise choice, the Trader had offered her both the horse and the saddle, so now her bags would have someplace to be besides her back. Aura winced as her raw heel touched the dirt. She made a face, then poured the rest of the water in her waterskin out over the wounds. Now her water was gone. Where is the nearest river? She thought. The nearest with good clean water was one flowing through the DarkOak forest, on the way to the Sea. "Damn..." It was a long way to go, but she also needed saltwater for her feet. She stood up, rolling her eyes. "Great, another adventure..." Aura greatly wished she could just relax for a while, perhaps find another of her kind. She shook the thoughts out of her mind and lifted herself into the saddle, taking hold of the reins, and moved on. The horse clopped noisily down the road, and into the Farmlands. Aura was too disgruntled to really care about the Hunters, the main road was the shortest route. Besides, what was the chance any of them would notice? She leaned forward and rested her head on the horse's neck, and closed her eyes.
((If you're planning on encountering the main group, you may want to head towards Blackstone now, and we can encounter on our way back.))
"He's right, the quicker we get there, the quicker we have our piece," Radiaas said, then he waited for other to acknowledge they were ready. They did, so the three once again started to travel, this time away from the village, towards the damned coast.
