Ed growled, eyeing the two angrily. She wondered to herself why she didn't simply stay a wolf or some other animal all the time. It'd make these sorts of situations much easier to handle.
Yet something stayed her hand. Despite her hard grip on that sword, despite how compelled she was to slap Zelos silly into the ground or drag the others out, some instinct told her this was for the better. Ed argued with herself as she stood down and watched the battle advance.

"Amelia should know better than to get between people fighting!" Zelos raises his hand again. "First Aid!" A light shone around Abel and Amelia as any injuries they had gotten had disappeared. "Now, then, let's get the spectators back a bit! Air Thrust!" The gale produced by Zelos hopefully had enough force to get everyone that wasn't part of this fight to back up a bit, so nobody else would get hurt. "Heh. Whenever you're ready, Abel."

"I guess it was." FD smiled. "So are you enjoying the party?"

"Somewhat." Melethia stood up. "It's just that I'm hearing a fight going on." Her ears were twitching a bit.

Amelia half-wished she had her armor handy. That stupid gale wouldn't have pushed her back then! She glared daggers at Zelos and Abel. "If you two assholes want to fight, FINE! But take it somewhere else!" She shouted angrily. As much as she hated to admit it... she was mad that they were ruining the party. Ruining what party? Face it, barely anyone came and not much at all was going on. They're the most interesting thing that's happened to it.
Amelia paused for a moment, groaning. "Just don't think I'm going to watch you two beat yourself up!" she shouted, turning her back on them.

"...I'm sorry, Amelia. I hope you can forgive me. But I have to do this." Abel didn't lay a hand on his sword. Despite his anger, he knew that attacking openly with something that could kill Zelos would be unforgivable. Instead he ran out, and swung several times at Zelos with his fists, then swung his leg underneath him.

Alihi froze. "What's... what's going on?" She looked to Amelia while trembling slightly. The tactician knew what was going on, but she still hoped that it wasn't true. Her hands clenched tightly into fists, not even sure how she felt at the moment. Angry? Scared? Worried? Nothing was clear to her.
Nils blinked. "Yeah... A lot of people are out there, aren't they?" He looked around, seeing that a good portion of the people were already out there. He scratched the back of his head. "... I guess that if it didn't stop already, then it won't end for a bit..." The bard sighed lightly.

"Oh! So it seems." FD listened to the drama building outside. "Perhaps we should go investigate. It might be a good excuse to use some fire!"

"I'll take a look if that's ok." She suggested.

Nils nodded to Mel, and then turned to FD. "You want to go look as well?" He asked curiously. "Though I don't think using fire would be the wisest decision..."

"Sure, Kaoru. And we probably won't get to use fire, but if we do, better outside than in."

Zelos was barely able to block the incoming punches. The sweeping kick was different, though. It knocked Zelos right off his feet, with his legs going straight up. He's fast. I just need to be faster! As his hands struck the ground, he began to push backwards, trying to get back on his feet.
"Stalagmite!"
A large spear of rock came up between the two, the angle of which Zelos used to land himself cleanly on is feet. "Now, then, Abel. You won't take out your sword? Alihi must not mean that much to you, then. Tell me. If she's in danger, would you raise your sword against those that wish to hurt her?" Zelos unsheathed his sword, and pulled out his shield, ready for a real fight now.
Just a little more, Cloud. Don't let me down now.

Melethia started walking outside. "Looks like steel is going to get used." She said sniffing the air. "I can smell it."

Abel grew angrier. "I would do anything to protect her! But she's not in danger... you are!" Abel, shocked as he was, saw that Zelos had unsheathed his sword, so he took out his own, in defense. "Don't mess... with me!" Abel took a fighting stance and awaited Zelos' move.
