Roll + 10: Arin acclimatizing to weights DC: 15
Success: 7/4/10
success/failure/required

Arin pondered on the shock the opponents would receive as they watched her power level appear as a tiny speck on their scouter, her traveling incognito until that point. But she got too distracted and fell to her knee again. She mustered up her strength and forced herself back to a standing position on basically nothing but her willpower. She started walking around, pacing until she was comfortable with the new burden.

Arin smiled, rolling her neck and cracking it loudly as she rolled her shoulders. She was getting antsy. She wanted to get on with her training, but she knew that she wasn't ready to start on it until she was accustomed to this weight. It was a significant amount of encumbrance, and she was bearing it well, in her opinion. She would need to add even more weight on top of this, too. She needed to tank her power level until she could travel as a completely unassuming human. And it would just keep rising until she got there. And she couldn't have herself look too powerful. A little bit lost now was better than throwing all that weight on top of her right before going down there. It wouldn't be beneficial in the end.

Roll + 10: Arin acclimatizing to weights DC: 15
Success: 8/5/10
success/failure/required

And Arin tripped again, hitting the floor and landing on her shoulder to protect her face. She lay there for a moment until she had quenched her anger and attempted to stand again. She wasn't going to get angry and give up here. This was necessary to her vengeance. She must learn to live as a weaker being and be able to tolerate her restrictions.

Roll + 10: Arin acclimatizing to weights DC: 15
Success: 8/6/10
success/failure/required

Arin once again fell, but this time only to her knee. She wasn't going to give up yet. She had to keep going. There would be no stopping her. She would not let this beat her. This was a mildly irritating stepping stone on her way to greatness. There would be nothing to stop her soon. Once she perfected that next technique, there wouldn't be much standing in her way anyway, regardless of any additional training.

Success: 9/6/10

Arin was almost completely used to the weight. She was feeling pretty good about it all at the moment. She would start working on that new technique as soon as she was done. It would be a massively useful skill, if she was picturing it right. A skill that could multiply her power and skyrocket her power level. She would be more of a force to deal with than anyone she'd ever seen. There could be no stopping her.

Rota walked near the training room, and saw Arin with her back turned towards the door. he snuck his way into the room, and turned his back to her, not wanting to make eye contact. "hello, my leige. getting some training done I see." he waited for a response, not even sure he would get one with his track record.

Arin turned around to face the boy, completely at home in her new weights. A small but powerful voice, laced with years of silence and with considerable amounts of forethought given to each word spoken drifted through the air. "Rota." Arin was a woman who weighed her words carefully. She stepped forward and waited for her underling to turn and face her. She had finally acknowledged him. She had given him her respect. They were not equals, but she was quite sure that he had one foot in the door already. She had even remembered his name.

That word. and it was HIS name. not an insult, not a jibe. to be acknowledged is a powerful thing after being ignored. he visibly tensed, for he was fighting back emotions. he composed himself, and began to speak. "Lady Arin. I thank you for saving me, even after what I did to you. it was inexcusable." he took the fall for Tora. for he knew that even if he explained it, it was highly unlikely that his Queen would belive what would normally be considered a really horrible lie.he continued "and I apologize for my actions and the ramifications of them. I respect and admire you too much to intentionally anger you like that ever again. as such I have made myself a reminder of my sin against you and Lady Aki." he turned around and faced his queen for truly the first time, his scar shown prominently, for his hair was tied back. "this scar not only represents the ill deed I have done, but also that you will never have to waste your energy with punishments. I do to myself far more than ever could be done by anyone else." he didn't look his queen in the eye, for he was ashamed of the actions caused by Tora. he bent respectfully "I am sorry, Queen Arin"

Arin looked up at Rota's face, studying the scar with eyes gone soft. It was a large sacrifice... A saiyan would never normally scar their face. They were too long-lived for such a burden. Arin reached down and lifted his hands, looking at the scars under his bracers, and looked back up to his face, touching the scar there lightly. She spoke once more. "I am sorry." And she brought her hand back and struck Rota across the face with a slap that had the force of a punch. "Never. Never do this again. Understand?" She didn't want the boy punishing himself for something in his nature. Or for something in her nature. Her voice was never raised. It was calm, and soft as it had been when she had first spoken, but it carried an authority it had lacked. She was ordering him... But she was at least doing it with compassion.

He looked at his queen, fighting back the emotions that wanted to burst forth. he fought them back, and flashed a smile. "Because of this scar, I'll never forget, thus I'll never have to." he left it at that. his crime had been absolved.

Roll + 8: all-or-nothing: DC 15
rolls: 0/0/4
lines: 0/0/60

Arin just shook her head softly, her short hair flowing smoothly as she did, and walked away, her vocabulary apparently exhausted. She stepped into the ki training room and closed the door behind her, preparing to begin training on the newest technique to be added to her repertoire. She knew what she wanted to do, and she had an idea about what it was going to take. She closed her eyes and prepared for the worst. This would most likely be the most painful training of her life. The Queen closed her eyes and focused on the places where she felt her ki and life might flow through, attempting to unlock the floodgates and let them come through, no matter the cost.

Technique Name: All-or-nothing

Arin felt the gates begin to open, but, like a door in the wind, she forced them closed before they could be ripped off the hinges. She forced the power to be quelled within her, and she managed to stop it before it grew out of control. Should she release the floodgate, she wasn't sure what might happen to her body. But the overpowering rush of energy was astounding. It was intoxicating, and she had to stop and take a breath. There was an intense urge to do it again, while the sensation was fresh. And Arin obliged.

Rota looked around the room, and saw the wardrobe full of clothes that Lady Arin had got her new clothing from. he didn't want to look like a normal warrior, especially with how recognizable he was, and then he lightbulbed. he took off his vanbraces, not needing them. they would be a dead give away to his true identity anyways. he replaced them with silken arm bands to hide the burn scars. he replaced his family crested shirt with a blood red suit shirt. he replaced his standard pants with loose fitting black suit pants that allowed him full range of movement, and a black suit jacket.this did however, hide his tail which was now coiled around his abdomen. he wore a black tie along with this ensemble, as well as formal shoes modified for combat. he grabbed a fedora that matched his suit, and a pair of sunglasses.he picked up all of his possesions that would give him away (i.e. all of it.) and put them in his room aboard ALICE.

he went back to the training room, and focused his ki. rather than trying to increase it, and make it more prevolent, he attempted to decrease it's appearence. he would need to master this to keep himself and his Queens alive. they didn't know he was a fugitive. they didn't know he was wanted dead or alive on Nexum. to be of service to ladies Arin and Aki, he would have to be able to be mistaken for human.

Technique Name: Conceal Powerlevel
Description of Jutsu: The user uses their force of will and self-control to repress their powerlevel, lowering it to a level they desire.
Rank: D
Cp Cost: none
Damage: none
Requirements: 20 ki control
Training: 2 days
Special: the user can augment their powerlevel negatively (lower your powerlevel) by [ki control * 50] or less

there went one failure, but Rota is used to that, so it didn't really phase him. can't win them all on the first try. he focuses his ki once more in the attempt to surpress it. he needed to conceal his ki effectively for safe passage on nexum. he imagined his ki shriveling into nothing, hoping to get the desired result.

he felt it recede. only for an instant, but it was there. he had confidence that this could be a quick and painless training session. he focused once more on depreciating his ki. this needed to be done and fast.
