*gulp* That sounds terrifying! Although, if the ladder was anchored to the side, I would probably be okay. It isn't so much that I'm afraid of falling off the ladder. It's more that I'm afraid the ladder will fall over!
I really don't know why I'm so afraid of ladders. The thought of climbing on them makes me feel sick to my stomach. But as far as I know, I've never had a bad experience on a ladder, or under it for that matter. Maybe I had a ladder fall on me when I was tiny, but it's certainly not in my active memory banks now, and my parents never mentioned anything. And I have excellent balance from my years as a dancer, so I have no reason to worry I will fall. I don't know what's wrong with me. I guess that's why it's a phobia - an unreasonable fear!

I've just been afraid of heights ever since. No real reason why. So when I was in that shaft, closing a hatch, the whole time I was shaking uncontrollably. People saw me shaking and asked if I was okay (they asked after I was done in there). That was the only time where I was so scared I had to sit down, cause my legs were giving out.
I would fall. My balance quasi-sucks, and I over-exaggerate. I also had a huge fear of dogs from being bit by one when I was 6 (the dog bit my shoulder and tore a chunk out of my side). Now I have 3 dogs, and one had a litter of 3 more.

How nice of everyone to ask if you were okay AFTER you finished! Such nice helpful people!
The only dog who ever bit me was one of mine, and it was an accident. It was a painful accident, though, and required four stitches.
Speaking of stitches, getting stitches is very interesting to watch! When I got mine, the doctor told me to look away, but I informed him that the only was he was getting anywhere near me with that needle was if I could see what he was doing. I'm odd like that. I don't mind getting shots, etc. if I can see when the needle is going to go in. Otherwise it totally freaks me out!

Yeah, its always nice to have others stare from a distance, then flock over after the drama's over.
My dogs bite me. I'll be petting them, especially the dog that's in my pic, and she'll realize "wait, that tony holding me" and commence biting me. but she won't hesitate to lovers all over me if I have food with me.
And I'm past due for stitches. Everyone in my family has had stitches but me. One brother from head-butting a filing cabinet, one from his jaw hitting the counter (there was nothing sharp either), my sister from her cesarean, and me padre from 'nam. Technically I had stitches in my mouth from getting my wisdom teeth pulled, but it's not the same.

Okay. So your sister's stitches are legitimate, childbirth and all. Your dad's certainly are (He was in 'nam?). But your brothers', well, I don't know about them! lol I mean, it's really never a good idea to head-butt a filing cabinet, and how do you split open your jaw on a counter, anyway?
But don't feel like you have to go injure yourself just for the sake of getting stitches. It really isn't much fun!
Why is it that your dogs don't like you? You don't look that scary...

My dad is 60 years old right now, and my brothers were real young when they got stitches (like 3 or 4). So far, I've been breaking the curse of getting stitches. And nobody knows about the jaw incident. I just point and laugh at him whenever I think about it. Well, my dog (in the pic) when we first got her, my brother stepped on her, and I went to rescue and comfort her. Since she only saw a foot followed immediately by me, she has this semi-permanent hatred of me. A few days later, my brother stepped on her again, and repeat incident. As it turns out, it's kinda her way of affection towards me, cause when I left, she didn't have anyone to bite! And whenever I come home, she'll lovers all over me for a good while, then we'd get back into our old routine. I personally won't change it for the world.

I've decide to quit sleeping! It's such a wast of time, anyway, and the stress involved in trying to get to sleep is not worth it!
