Halcyon dragged Nick up to the stands; where they would stay until Halcyon's likely symptom of ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder) turned her interest elsewhere.

The Dancer jumped into the stadium.
"Greetings."

The black mage looked around; its head was hidden by an enormous yellow hat. He held up one many-ringed hand. Each of the five rings was a different color. The hand waved--but silently.

The Dancer was undisturbed by his opponent's silence.
"Should we give introductions, or simply go ahead and fight?"
The Dancer could already hear the metronome.
Whether the mage liked it or not, this fight would start soon.
The Dancer's stance changed, from a relaxed, almost nonchalant pose, to a pose of a well-trained fighter.
His eyes narrowed.

The speakers made the announcements for the fight. Then the buzzer rang, signaling the fight to begin.

The mage, however, was very much wanting to fight. He, or she, just didn't show it. A flick of the wrist--and balls of flames were flying at the Dancer from three different directions. In front of, from behind, and from above.

The Dancer rolled to the left, smirking.
He spun as he stood up, wiping out the flames.
"Nice try."
The beat grew faster.
The Dancer began to charge towards the mage.

A wall of fire blared into existence, blocking the Dancer's path.

The Dancer was unable to stop, and ran through fast enough that the fire harmed him only minorly, but he was slightly blinded, with a few spots in his eyes.
He still saw the mage, however.
"A nice trick, but it'll take more than fire to stop me," The Dancer taunted.

The mage waved both of its hands this time, causing a floating current of water to draw from the moisture in the air. This then condensed into a floating sphere of water, the radius being equal to the mage's height. This sphere ejected a barrage of thousands of tiny, but sharp, icy needles, in the Dancer's direction.
The water sphere did not dissipate or shrink in size during this attack.

The Dancer smiled, and backed away quickly.
"Geometry lesson. Farther away I am from a 360 degree attack using projectiles, the more space there is between them. Simple to dodge."
And, as he said, he easily dodged.
