A bit hammy of a start in his opinion but they seemed to be eating it up fairly well. He grimaced on the inside and swallowed hard as he kept going. The swallowing was of his pride. He couldn’t stand this damn thing but he had to do what he had to do. Couldn’t really change it now could he?

“Please, secure all the women and children. Make their escape priority and guard their rear and flanks. I alone shall defend you all from here with my mighty spear.”

Who wrote this? He had to die, point blank. Anyone that could write crap this corny and expect someone to read it without throwing up was sick in the head.

The next portion would test Roy quite a bit. It was suppose to be based off a love scene between the main character and his love interste. Roy didn’t want to think about this crap in the least bit and yet… yet here he was. He swallowed hard and growled a little but only to himself. He glanced down to the paper and spoke once more from it.

“Please… you must flee. It is not safe for you to remain in such a place… Yes… I know that this is a trying time but you must be strong… you must know that my love will protect and guide you forever more. We may part in body now but our spirits will forever be linked.”

Yep… the author and screen writes have to die.

[[Hmm 20… guess that could count as double points]]

Roy was actually pretty good with this whole acting thing… at least that’s what it looked like these baka wanted to say. In reality he wanted to go puke and kill himself for selling out his soul. Thankfully it was just for this little bit of amusement, it wasn’t an absolute thing. He looked to the paper to finish off the review.

“My wounds, they be great but not as great as the scars your heart now bares… Please… forgive me…” it was a death scene and he was suppose to be benevolent. He wanted to tell the person to go get a damn medic for him or something but hay, he was stuck with this now.

[[2 20’s… oooook]]

The sickly looking gay dude stood and began to clap with all his might. He was screaming bravo and other crap but Roy just wanted to sock him one. He stood up and looked to the guy. The balding dude on the end nodded a bit and smiled.

“Oh yea kid… you got it and you got it bad. The acting bug is alive and well in you. You’re gonna be a star ya hear me? A star!”

Roy’s eye began to twitch a bit as he sat there looking to the idiots. However, the woman smoking her cigureet was still silent and puffing away. She made sure to kill the mode though as everyone looked to her.

“He still has to pass the combat portion…”

Just as cold as Roy had figured she’d be. When she said this, she stood up and began to walk past the boy and out the back gesturing for him to follow. Roy grumbled a bit and followed the woman out back.

The back of the tower had a clearing with some small ponds in them. The woman stood there and took another drag from her smoke and then looked to the boy. She snapped her fingers and a boy that looked around Roy’s age came out.

“He will be your sparing partner. Entertain me. Now, begin.”

Without really waiting for anything else, the boy turned to Roy and pointed his hand. “Heheheh, So Mr. Hero. Guess what time it is?”

“Huh? What the duce are you talking about?!”

The stunt boy pulled two kunai out from his sides and threw them at Roy.

Well, Sakeme was on of those people sitting on the sidelines, or leaning up against the walls, watching the others perform. Truth be told... she didn't like it one bit. AT the moment she had just gotten finished watching Roy's sickening performance, and almost vomited. She wasn't sure she could handle something like this.

What was she doing there, you might wonder... Well, while training she has been known to have a lazy streak. So, in order to perk her up a bit, one of her new sensei decided to sign her up for this little dump of an interview as a lession. A lesson in what? She had no clue... she just wanted to get the hell out of there.

Sadly as she was turning to leave, she was called up next. Dear Lord, kill me now, please, I beg of you!

(Horrible rolls, though I think they suit my character... oh so well)

Looking through the scripts, she chose one she figured she might be able to do and get out alive with. The keyword here was 'might'.

"Um..." She scanned the lines and rolled her eyes. What the hell had her sensei gotten her into? In fact, who the hell wrote these scripts? They were awful! She had to do it though... unfortuneately.

"Alright kiddo, let's get you home..." The scene was of a stranger who found a young child in the street. Looking at the proctors, she saw that they weren't amused. Perhaps a monotone voice wouldn't do?

(So close...)

Sighing she tried again, only with some feeling. She felt as stiff as an unoiled robot, though. This whole thing was beyond embarassing.

Kneeling down to an imaginary child, she tried again. "Alright kiddo, let's get you home..." Her voice was softer, had some feeling to it. Her face was too blank though. That simply would not do.

At one point even one of the judges came around their table and tried to show her how to do the scene properly. She copied them exactly... except she just couldn't manage to put that feeling into it. It was either that or the judges themselves were just as poor of actors as she was. They would never admit to something like that though.

Damn this is annoying... I'm so going to get back at you for this, sensei!

(Yay! Finally a good roll! And I probabaly jixed myself!)

Clenching her fist in annoyance, she knelt down once more to the invisinble child, offering her free, unclenched hand. "Alright kiddo, let's get you home... your mom is probably worried sick about you."

She had a feeling that her narrowed eyes and gruff expression may have given the judges the impression that she actually was showing a somewhat caring personna... They were insane.

Next up was a servant's scene. She was supposed to be pouring tea for the lovely maiden and her soon-to-be groom.

Picking up the props, she did as the script told, saying her one and only line for this scene. "Here you go, ma'am."

Atleast she didn't have to put too much into it...

The scene after tea serving was a bit more difficult... For her anyways. Other may find it to be a piece of cake. This time she was supposed to act emo. Yes, this meant she had to put in a little too much effort into her more dark and depressing nature. Atleast she didn't have to be peppy.

"Flee, little one. There's no hope for me left... I'll die anyways..." She said these with more of a sigh than a monotone, which was better... but most definately not good enough for the critics.

Flashback.

"My apologies, Elruda-hime...but I cannot consent." Fubuki Shinratsu deadpanned, even though the Hyuuga princess he was speaking to looked dangerously close to tears. Or, to be more specific, large teary eyes accompanied with an unhappy pout and she crossed her arms.

"Shin-kun is no fun at all!" She proclaimed, stomping her foot. Dragon pearl coloured eyes fixed on her friend. "Pretty pweez! It's only an audition anyways, it's not like we'll definitely be in the show!" Generally, Elruda gets her way...but today, she was having trouble persuading Shinratsu to agree to come to the acting auditions with her. She didn't understand! What was wrong anyways? Shin-kun was good at dancing and at the flute - this would be something he was good at - the perfect partner!

Shinratsu frowned...but then paled as he held up the magazine Elruda was showing him up closer to the light. "But Elruda-hime..." A sigh left his lips (expression: =_=). "...If I agree..." An adult magazine. Where on earth did she get this anyways? But not that he wanted to know... Anyways. On to more important matters. "Yokou-dono will be furious..." Plus, after what he witnessed from Zephyr's last hasty escape from his rabid Hyuuga guards...the last thing he needed was Hyuuga clansmen out for his blood...thanks to an inappropriate film with their princess...

Elruda huffed. "Not that scene! Who cares about that thing (Marcus) anyways!" Quick as lightning, she had snatched the magazine back from Shinratsu. Elruda rapidly flipped through the pages, stopping at a certain place. "This one! The geisha dancing under the moonlight." Starry eyes as she happily clasped the magazine to her bosom. "Hehe, won't it be a pretty scene?"

End Flashback.

And that was that.

Thirty minutes later, at the studios, Shinratsu still wondered how on earth Elruda got him to agree to play the part of the geisha's lover. The scene they were doing was mostly performance: Elruda's part was pretty simple, dancing. His was a flute accompaniment. Then there was a little bit of pure script after the geisha concluded her twilight dance...and then there was a fight scene.

Shinratsu glared at the script. This guy is pretty emotional... Well, even though he may not be good at expressing what he himself wants...Shin was talented at fitting nearly into any character role stage-wise. He had performed multiple times in Kiri's annual Moon festival after all... Not just performing the flute and dancing, but at times, little bits of script or whole scenes will be conducted before the actual performance.

But that didn't change the fact that he...didn't want to do this... The director is barking out orders... Guess he should hurry and get changed. Sighing, Shinratsu slipped into his outfit: a dark blue yukata with embroidered leaf patterns and below, dark green pants (Neji's in the picture). Above the yukata, he wore a longer outer robe, deep midnight blue with a dark cyan strip embroidered with white dragons. He wore the traditional yukata sandals of course, and his props were two swords: a katana in a ceremonial sheath and also a smaller wakisashi.

A samurai.

The part he was playing, the geisha's lover, was a samurai... Shinratsu gently touched the swords. Samurai from a place he knew nothing about. Giglamesh. As Elruda-hime had not arrived yet, Shinratsu took to playing with the swords, pretending that he could use them. Blue metal cut sharply through the air as he swung the blade. Sometimes, he wondered...what would it be like... They were heavy of course, the props were real swords after all, and he quickly discovered that though he could pull them from the sheath, he couldn't quite wield them with the same grace the Chuunin beheld.

Though it was simple play, it took energy fairly quickly, so pretty Shinratsu stopped, resheathing the swords. He'll get his chance later. Though Shinratsu never read the legend that this particular scene belonged to...the director mentioned something about a sword display battle and probably will have more instructions to give on choreography.

The door creaked open.

Elruda stepped forward smiling, though her hair was short, they had managed to tie it back with a length of pale blue ribbon. They had chosen a lovely costume for her: a Heian style kimono, the base layer being of a lovely pale yellow with crimson flower prints near the bottom, matched by an obi with powdery but vibrant colours. Above the base layer, there was another robe, a lovely trailing kimono of dark blue, with patterns of fans and cranes (Hanabi's in the picture).

The make up artists had no need to apply any to her... Even though Elruda generally generally did not dress in the "feminine" type of clothes, never did it diminish her physical beauty...but now in these elaborate robes, in which a paler beauty might have been diminished, hers instead, along with her natural grace, made the clothes seem all the more appropriate, all the more lovelier and vibrant. The stage crew had pre-prepared this stage in the form of a Japanese room, with the pale lighting greatly resembling the moonlight.

Elruda gently pulled at the outer kimono and allowed the trailing outer layer to fall down to her shoulders, like a shawl. The director gave his cue and so then began her dance... Graceful movements, that seemed to defy gravity...elegant steps...almost like the gliding movement of the swan... The mischievous smile that played on her lips suddenly has become something different, a more distant expression...

Even if she herself did not realize... The elf-child was an enchantress, through and through.

Fubuki Shinratsu never found much interest in women. They were annoyingly shallow, in his opinion. Rather than self-improvement, they often compared themselves against those "beneath" them. However...he couldn't help the flush that flickered across his pale features as the Hyuuga princess glided into the room, nor the feeling as if, for that moment, his pulse had momentarily stopped. No ornaments, no makeup...and...it wasn't even the elaborate clothing that so brought out her beauty.

Without a doubt...different. This one was different from the rest he had met. A lot like his fiancee Hatsuyuki, a pure beauty...a dazzling white kei...a beauty that went beyond physical appearance but rather reflected pureness of heart.

Looking up from the horrible script, Sakeme noticed Elruda and another walking in. "Hey, kid. How are you?" She'd completely forgotten the acting at the moment. Not that she cared. She could handle distractions every once in a while... besides, she hadn't seen her friend in a while.

Partially curious, she wondered if Elruda's mother knew she was up here in the tower... That would be interesting to watch for certian.

Seeing the kid there made Sakeme a bit more self-concious... he knew her acting was horrible, and now that there was a bigger audience, with someone she knew inside, she wanted to try harder. She wanted to actually do well, but not so well that it would be showing off... not like that could actually happen.

Sighing she tried again. "Please. Felee, little one..." She made her breaths slightly shallow for emphasis. "There's no hope for me left... I'll die anyways..." She finishe dthat little tid bit off with a tiny smile of regret. She was ready to puke, that was for sure...
