Belle felt a tug at her heart. She knew the feeling of bad luck. She hoped that she had left hers back at the castle. "If your luck had decided to come with you then there's nothing to be done about it." She says quietly, as they trudge down the road, slightly muddy from the rain. "I know quite a deal about bad luck, and I've learned not to fear it, but to fight it."

"Yeah, well my bad luck likes to think I'm the reason his son ran away. And all in all, he thinks I should be turned into tinder for his fireplace." he said to no one in paticular remembering the woodsmans son, Jim Hawkings.

Alice giggled at Hatter’s shaken appearance. It was good to be desired again, even if it was by her slightly mad friend. She knelt and kissed the top of Cat’s head. ”I suppose I will be seeing you later, Cat. Do not destroy the world in your mischief, please,” Alice teased gently. Then she rose, and smiled up at Hatter, brushing off her knees lightly. ”Well then, Hatter, let’s go on a walk,” Alice said to him, with a quaint smile. She would enjoy this walk, but she was smart enough to be on her guard.

Todd nodded and offered the crook of his arm too her."Walk we shall." Todd said and nodded towards the dark path before them. Wonderland always had an eirie look to it, dark. The Mad Hatter loved the dark. Todd tipped his hat at the cat and then started to lead down the path. He looked over at Ailce and a childish smile crossed his face. If he leaned down exactly two inchs he could smell her hair, a beautiful smell. The the Mad Hatter decided upon some chat. "Where have you been for this long period of time? Dont you know Hare and I worried? Well... I was worried, he was just fretting over me." He thought back to the Hare and how he had left him with the Naga, he hoped she didnt eat him. The Hare was good help.

Silken Pearl

Her performance done, she suddenly felt tired and she sat down on the table. Looking up at the girl hoping she had gotten the clues the first time. Tinkerbell wasn't exactly fond of this game, she had to do it much too often.

"Hmm.." Ephonine murmurs, watching the pretty little fey's charades. The little pup hops back into the young lady's palm while Tink does her performance, and Ephonine pets him gently with a fingertip. At the tinkling of the crystal chandilier, the wee dog barks a few times, excited by the noise. Ephonine smiles at his attemps to help in this naming game, and she rises to her feet, moving to follow Tink to the small handbell that she finishes at.

"Crystal Belle?" she ventures with a hopeful smile, not at all sure of what the fey is trying to tell her. The wee bark of the pup draws Ephonine's attention down to look at what has perked his interest now. Tiny against her palm, Luc is facing towards the window, his little tail starting to sag as he looks back up to the young woman and whines softly. Ephonine blinks, shocked that she had allowed herself to get so distracted.

"I'm sorry Belle,"
she tells Tink quickly, ".. but the Lady of the house will be returning soon. There are things I must do and morning is quick upon us. Perhaps we will meet again tomorrow night?" Lowering her hand, she encourages Luc to hop down to stand beside Tink again. "Take care of Luc and sleep well." She tells the two of them with a smile. Turning now, Ephonine hurries from the elegant room and disappears into the hallway. She leaves the door open just a crack behind her, in case Tink would not be able to fit through the lock.

Mr. Eccentricity

"Whatever, let's just go," she said, significantly annoyed. Even the comforting touch of the cloak contributed to her irritation, giving her a sense of slight claustrophobia. She shrugged off the feeling and gripped the handle of her axe a little tighter before continueing to move.

She's not so little anymore...

Molly sighs as Red gets all huffy. Whatever indeed.. she thinks to herself, giving a faint shake of her head before continuing along the path as well. As they move on, Molly subtly examines Red. Such an odd duck, the girl was. Molly was pretty sure that they would not come across any water sources before they hit the coast. They would probably reach the shoreline by the end of the night. She'd just have to keep on eye out for stalkers until then. At least her cloak masked the blood a little. The scent of blood against warm skin would surely bring them some company otherwise.

She let some time pass before she spoke again. Red seemed to have something of a short attention span. Maybe if Molly gave her some space, she'd drop this stuffy mood. And so they traveled in relative silence for a while. Towards late-mid day, Molly finally speaks. "Ere now, hold up a second," she tells Red, her eyes scanning the forest around them. The blood on Red's clothing has mostly dried by now, allowing her to smell the faint aroma of food coming from the area. It smells almost like something is... baking?

"You smell that?" Molly asks her companion a she hunts for the direction of the scent.

Alice laughed a bit, amused by Hatter’s ending comment. Her arm was entwined with Hatter’s arm, they might seem normal, if not for the location. Nothing was normal here in Wonderland. Up could be down, or even left…it mattered not as long as there was time to be had. ”That is very much like Hare. He was, as I remember, very…devoted to you. But, as for where I have…I was back where I had been before Wonderland,” Alice explained, trying to control her violent urge at the thought of Rabbit.

Strange Little Horror
Follow the breadcrumbs...

Gretel listened carefully, as if she had another choice.

"Hm... well, that certainly is strange. I'm sorry I can't help you more, though I have food if you are hungry?" she seemed to ask. Gretel was eager to get him on his way before Hansel returned home, though not without proper preparation. She could tell by the feel of the air what time it was, and she had to get him to leave soon.

...If you dare

"I just wish I could remember my NAME." rubbing the side of his head gingerly. He tried to get up but his legs were like jelly under his weight and he fell back. "I'm sorry to be of such nuisancae to you miss. "

Todd raised an eyebrow, "Before Wonderland? As I recall you have always been here. In fact, you never left. Its just a matter of when and where we happen to run into each other." He stated matter factly. He then looked above them to the boughs in the trees. There were plenty of eyes lurking and watching. Todd then looked back at Alice, he felt Hatter's heart pound. This made the Hatter happy, he was sick of Todd's never getting to the point, or always wanting to take his time. todd always wanted to savor every second...no, Todd had no concept of time. But Hatter, Hatter was an impatient man.

Alice giggled to herself. She had forgotten how their minds worked here. It either was, or it was not. There was nothing but Wonderland, no before and after, it just was. And Hatter’s well-known lack of hold on reality did not help his way of thinking. ”Then was merely a fact that our paths were unable to cross for a while, but fear not for I intend to have them cross more often, my dear friend,” Alice replied, with a kind smile. Yes, always kind Alice, sweet Alice. Only the shell remained, but Alice was still Alice for the time being.

Red's mood leveled dramatically as the silence she loved became the main event of their walk. Her fingers absent-mindedly caressed the edge of the scarf while she thought. Her thoughts led her back to Molly, and only then did she realize how spiked her attitude had been. Killing gave her spirit but often at the cost of a usually-pleasant presence. 'No wonder Molly does not want to talk to me...' She wanted to apologize, but she had neither the knowledge nor the courage to do so. However, courage came with time, and she certainly had plenty of time to think.

Finally, the words were set in her mind and ready to be said. Carefully, cautiously, she began to speak.

"Molly, I..." she said in a quiet voice, but her near-silent remark went unheard as Molly decided to speak just at that time too. Whatever mild annoyance or frustration that would have resulted from such a coincidence was calmed by curiosity and a happiness than Molly had decided to speak to her again. She remained quiet, not wanting to disturb her with her words. Then she asked for her input. Brightened, she spoke after testing the air with her nose.

"Yes, it smells rather pleasant," she adds with a small smile.

She's not so little anymore...

Follow the breadcrumbs...

Maternally, Gretel sighed to control the minimal frustration she felt. She heard him move, then a soft thump. Familiar with the sound of bodies falling against the floor, she realized he just about collapsed upon himself.

"You poor little lamb! Can you not move? Oh now now - don't move! Hush, now, you're not a nuisance! Give your legs a rest, won't you? I hope they aren't broken! Do they hurt?" she said hurridly. She liked to fuss over someone other than Hansel. That, and she was nervous.

As quickly as she could manage (which wasn't remarkedly quick) Gretel prepared a good-sized bowl of hot stew and set it carefully beside him, knowing by the previous sounds of his voice and feeling with her toes where he was.

"You just eat that now, eat as much as you can," she cooed.

Todd smiled, "Excellent!" he declared and embraced Alice, in his embracement he lifted her off the ground and then gently set her back down. The scent from Alice's hair drifted into contact with Todd, he felt his pants tighten. This, of course, angered Mad Hatter. Naturally, he took over. The todd's eyes then looked more crazed, the few purple articles of his clothing were now vibrant. Hatter pushed his hat to be crooked on top of his head and he bowed before Alice. his hat fell to the ground and the Hatter merely stared. he slowly picked it up and planted it on his head, he was now standing straight up. He left the hat on crooked. "Now dear, we must get some tea." He then stood, his back facing alice, "WEll, now jump on," he said, insisting she ride on his back as he walked them to him and Hare's home.

Shrugging at the substitute name Tinkerbelle figured it was better than nothing. Most often people didn't even get the two words part down. Sitting crosslegged next to Luc the pup lay down next to her as her gaze hung on the open ajar door. The girl left in such a hurry, it was almost strange. She wondered who this "Mistress" lady was.

Tinkerbelle being the curious little thing she is was rather fast at devising a plan and idea. Petting Luc behind his ears to ensure he wouldn't fall asleep she stood up, as did he. Standing directly infront of the pup so as the two were looking at one another squarely, Tink raised her slender arm and held out a single finger. Pressing it gently against Luc's forehead the spot where the contact was made glowed for a fraction of a second and then died away. Lowering her hand the pup looked up at Tink with understanding. The two fluttered down from the desk onto the floor, Luc with the help of Tink of course, and they silently stepped towards the door and through the small opening the girl had left open for them.

Stepping into the long hallway they had come through all appeared clear and silent. Tink continued on her way, the pup following her close at her small heels.

"I'm sorry, for this." he said meekly as he ate slowly, his back to the wall, his heart and mind confused. adults were always mean, they told him, but this lady was different, why was that? why was it she was so nice when his heart told him it was wrong?
