Breg's investigation of the dojo left him with very few answers all he could find were papers that included names of members past and present, tha and an invitation to a ball. He didn't think much of it but then realized that he might find some answers. He wouldn't let this opportunity pass him by. He grabbed his gear and ran to one of the dorms to clean up and change to the nicest things he had. Now he was in front of this huge building wondering if they would even let him in. He puts on a black and white porcelain mask and walks up to the doors with the resolve of a blue blood.

* Breg probably would have been asked to show his invitation but the exact moment he chose to walk in casually, a saucy looking red head in a simple black mask and a simple black dress also chose to try and run in. While the guards chose to run after her into the ball room Breg would also be allowed to simply walk in. The guards wouldn't catch the red head but would be on a constant watch for her. Apollo would at this point rise and formally greet his guests, informing them that his children would be arriving soon.*

Breg entered the ball romm and decided that he would have to find a way to thank the red head if he had a chance. He chose to stay close to one of the bars, maybe he could pick up information from some of the more loosy goosy guests. Breg heard the man in the golden mask address his guests.

This is looks like its going to be a hell of a night.

Breg sees an empty table by the bar and decides to take a seat.

After a while He realized that he might not get any where with just listening in on conversations. Besides just siting there alone made him stand out more. He decided that he would mingle. Breg walked to the bar to get a drink and began chating up a gentelman wearing a black studed red mask. Slowly the conversation made him realize that he wouldnt get any of the answers he was looking for, they were all here for the hosts either no one knew of the BC or they just didnt care.

This was a waste, but I guess I can make the best of things and just enjoy the party.

After talking for a while he learned the gentelan was a buissnes man that felt fortunate to even be invited. Breg made his way around the room meeting new people and charming them.

Thank god for all those years i spent doing this crap.

Atmospheric turbines whirred as they pulled in great gusts of planetary ozone, fused it with the positively charged ion particles that comprised it's primary propulsion system, and spewed out the highly explosive gaseous flames. The planet below screamed by, the tops of trees being sheered off by the passive energy screens that enveloped the shuttle's metal hull, as Admiral Tegral Kartos dawned his mask for the Twice Royal's masque ball.

"So tell me again," Kah intoned as she tied the black ribbon behind her head, securing the red screaming demon mask to her face, "Why we're going to this dumb party?"

"Because we've been ordered." Rookin replied, his armored arms crossed over his chest.

"Not only that but it gives us a chance to mingle amongst the Black Company." Tegral interjected his two cents as he secured his own mask on his face. Similar to the style of Phantom of the Opera the white porcelain covered the left side of his face, curving around the left side of his mouth to avoid any hindrance on his mouth. "Remember, we're trying to establish peaceful ties to the people."

With his word final Tegral ended the conversation for the time being.

"But why the masks?" Kah shot in.

"Because that's the party! Enough, Kah, or I'll make you 'guard' the shuttle." Tegral snapped back, adjusting the eye hole so it fell centered on his icy blue orb.

--

Drawing closer to the Twice Royal the assault shuttle, relative in size to a Boeing 747 with a slightly thicker fuselage, activated it's passive E-War system. Hands of intangible, scattered, electrons hovered about the shuttle's exterior scooping up any sort of detection messages emanating from the Twice Royal. Radar, Infrared, and really most all types of 'modern' detection, and distorting it to make it look like the massive, armed to the teeth, shuttle didn't even exist. Well that was assuming, of course, young Griffin hadn't installed any high-tech sensory suites without him knowing.

Cresting through the forest the shuttle bared in on the Twice Royal, it's weapon hard points going hot. The assault shuttle wasn't ordered to engage anything save that which attempts to do harm to the Admiral or the two officers in attendance. If the Twice Royal was unable to detect the shuttle, or even if it was spotted and simply ignored, the Admiral and his company would enter their drop tubes and de-a** the shuttle where their drop pods would activate their counter-gravity units and coast down to gently touch down a block away from the Twice Royal's party.

If fire were to reach up from the corporate city in an attempt to halt the Admiral's arrival then things were going to get interesting. Though the Admiral was still, technically, in a state of neutrality in regards to the diplomacy in the region, that certainly didn't mean he'd be flying around something that could get popped outa the skies. Energy turrets comprised the primary offensive capability of the shuttle, followed in a close second by missile bays. Auto-cannons and repeater lasers acted as a short range anti-missile and anti-fighter defense while the heavy caliber artillery cannons positioned on the underbelly could rain death and destruction on a wide scale from the heavens.

At any rate; whether it be by means of gently lofting down from the heavens or wading through a burning sea of fire and ruined buildings the Admiral was going to attend this party and meet the infamous Apollo.

*Teg would be allowed to pass, even the guards seemed to be enjoying the party and not doing their jobs.*

Tegral was silent as his drop pod fell from the height of the assault shuttle, silent as the unit's counter-gravity activated and slowed the decent into something that would ultimately stop moving about two inches from the ground. Rookin, much in his fashion, stood with his eyes closed and head bowed, his lips working in a silent prayer for safety, for prosperity, for peace. Kah...oh Kah, she whooped and yelled, and 'Yeeeehawed' all the way down like it was some sort of carnival ride.

Once on the ground the three, Kah with her beaming smile, Rookin with a silent face of stone, and Tegral's small smirk playing his lips, started towards the party.

"Don't mind us boys." Kah chimed playfully as they passed the door guards, almost utterly ignored.

As they entered the party a small circle formed around Rookin, Kah, and Tegral. Wary business men and women edged away without really appearing to be giving the three anymore space than anyone else.

"Hey!" Kah exclaimed, "Rookin! Where's your mask!"

The, up until now, maskless Rookin turned an irritated glare down on his partner. "I have it right here..." Reaching up Rookin flicked his face visor down, obscuring his facial features. "See?"

Kah fumed, Rookin chuckled internally, and Tegral began weaving his way towards Kaiori and Apollo.

*Kaiori had been rather bored all evening, clawed down with her husband. Her delicate gold mask hardly covers her face as it is made from tiny curves of gold wire and small golden gems. Her hair is down in sexy tangles around her shoulders since her dress is rather revealing. Apollo’s mask is large, it spikes out in many directions and instead of his eyes there are glowing golden orbs covering them, he seems haunting like a sun god. Dressed in a red fur cape and sash he still doesn’t sport a shirt but instead flaunts his muscles and tribal tattoos. Apollo is the ultimate image of rough masculinity and looks only more powerful sitting next to his seemingly gentile and fragile wife.*

Fragile was one word Tegral sure as hell wouldn't have used to describe the gun totting Queen of the Twice Royal. If you could picture pure attitude wrapped up in refined gorgeous then given a pair of high caliber hand guns then you're probably picturing Kaiori in some form or another, just one of the many reasons Tegral found himself intrigued by the woman. Not only that but with the body he'd grown for her, it's biological make up more or less the exact same with the exception her bones are denser, her skin tougher, and her muscle fibers enhanced beyond human limitation, would have made her hellishly strong without her...other half.

Where Apollo looked like some kind of barbaric sun god Tegral had followed in his, to date, classy outlook and dawned a suit of black spun silk. Shimmers rippled down the length of his tuxedo as the gold of his cuff links and Rolex wrist watch caught the light. His apparel matched his attitude as he wove through the crowed before him, looking all the world like a man who owned the building rather than an uninvited guest.

Fur, what a barbaric notion...

Kah and Rookin had found their entertainment as well; Kah having gotten involved in a heated debate about whether or not it was a good idea to invest heavily into over seas product and how the Black Company's economy as of late has been in what amounted to a slow nose dive since the major powers decided to clash and tear the world apart! Rookin, in his silence, stood like a giant amongst the sea of people behind Kah. One could say it was a ploy to lend weight to her argument, after all businessmen weren't the type to break down and brawl with someone who was head to toe in armor...but in all actuality he was just there to make sure Kah didn't drink too much and lose control.

"Well, well." Tegral murmured as he drew closer to the thrones of the Royal Twosome. "Now I don't believe we've had the honor of being introduced...My name is Tegral." Eyes of icy blue trained on Apollo as he took a step closer to the throne, a bone chilling blizzard whirling behind his iris. Oh yes, there was definitely a challenge in Tegral's stare.

*Apollo would nod his head first, Kaiori seemed stone still and unwilling to move. Apollo’s voice would seem rough but warm like the desert country he ruled. * Then good evening my friend, I am Apollo Rockavellian the second, King of the blue desert tribe. This is my wife and Queen Kaiori Night-Rockavellian. *Apollo would gesture to her, shaking her from her stupor. She would then politely incline her head, not a note of recognition in her eyes but a fire. Apollo seemed impossible to read with his deceiving mask but he didn’t seem to acknowledge any form of challenge Teg may have been trying to get across.*

Breg had spent most of his time getting to know some of the other guests, He would find out as much info on the royal family as he could before introducing himself.

Guess nows the time.

He makes his way through the growing crowd of guests, passing the chaty girl and and the man in armor that was looking over her. He walks up next to Tegral and slightly bows

King Apollo, Queen Kaiori, I am Breg and I am honored to be here. And if I may... Kaiori its very good to see you again. Im glad that you are doing well.

Breg stood back up

If I can do anything for you, please just let me know.

Unlike Breg, the worthless little whelp who'd decided now of all times to make himself a nuisance, Tegral did not bow, he did not yield to formalities, nor did he relinquish his stature before the royal pair. No Tegral stood where he was, right hand tucked in his pocket as he smiled up at Apollo. It was a strange look on the Admiral, made more-so by the mask hiding most of his face, a strange mix between 'I know something you don't know', and 'I'm gonna make you wish you'd never met me'.

Ignoring Breg's interruption Tegral allowed his eyes to shift over to Kaiori, "When you get a minute, Kaiori." There wasn't really much in the way of a question in what Tegral was saying, more of a matter-a-fact statement he fully expected to be obeyed, "Come find me, I have something to discuss with you."

Waving over his shoulder Tegral turned and started back into the crowded ball room. Kah had shifted her conversation topic to another well dressed business man. "You have to be kidding!" She exclaimed as she took a drink from a wandering server, "The over seas markets are hardly worth looking at anymore, not since the Twice Royal established it's corporate headquarters in the region. No, no, no, don't even try to fangle an investment out of me you sniveling-"

A heavy metal hand placed on her shoulder was enough to silence Kah's triad from washing over the hapless business man. Rookin stared down at the woman and man in turn through the eye slits of his metallic helmet visor looking like the giant he was. Momentarily the Second Commander wondered where Kah managed to find all this spare time to play on the stock market, manage a banzai garden, and through it all find time to sew all of her weird and bizarre outfits! Yes, she makes ALL her clothes by hand.

"Though less vehement about it," Rookin's steady, almost gravely voice seemed to rumble down from an avalanche "Then my over zealous friend here I must concur with her judgment." Having accessed the shared files between the command structure, which Rookin had asked Kah to upload and allow him access too, the Second Commander had found himself in a rather impressive store of financial knowledge. "The over seas markets have been stuck in a rut since young Griffin has begun his rather hostile expanses into the corporate area. The price of civilian technology alone is cheaper to produce here and sells for a much greater profit when flown out to more foreign regions."

Forced to accept it for what it was, a big fat no-get the hell out of here, the businessman mumbled something about the over sea markets making a come back before scurrying off.

"Temper, Kah." Rookin sent the message via the command link's encrypted channels. "Remember the Admiral needs these people."

"Yeah, but I don't understand why!" After their latest upgrades the two had seemed even more singular than usual, their 'emotional' integration allowed them to literally read each other like text on a screen...and right now Kah was very pouty and childishly temperamental. "After all if he wants peace why can't he just go back to Regulon? Doesn't he own like nine houses there?!"

Sighing audibility Rookin gave Kah's shoulder a little squeeze. He knew what she was so upset about this; Once Tegral was gone, once the Admiral 'settled down', it was just back to the two of them, and no matter how much they loved each other and would do anything for one another Tegral was the central bind to who they were. He was the one who brought the two together, he was the one who helped make them into who they were, both physically, mentally, and spiritually. Tegral, in all sense of the word, was an older brother, best friend, and father all rolled into one for these two, and neither wanted to lose their intimate link with their Admiral. "Because he's found his home here. He has houses and mansions all across the galaxy, across countless dimensions, but for what ever reason he's found his home here."

Kah lapsed into gloomy silence and downed her drink, skirting off to find another. She couldn't get drunk unless she activated the neural projector that would trick her brain into simulating a drunken state...but she wanted to get drunk and started downing anything she could get her hands on.

* Kaiori would gently nod to Breg and Apollo would do the same. Apollo would tense slightly at the obvious rudeness of the departing male and would only relax under Kaiori;s comforting touch as she gently brushed his arm with her fingers. Finally relaxing her husband Kaiori would once again look at Breg.* Yes it is lovely to see you. I hope you enjoy your evening, and catch me later for a chat. *She would bow her head again and look to where Teg had gone off to, not only had he come at a very inappropriate time, but he had also asked for her personally over her husband and without thought to asking her husbands permission. His rude attitude made her body flush with anger and her eyes narrow. Whispering to her husband she requests softly to take a turn about the room, she made sure to make no mention of why she was going. Apollo would turn his head to her, giving her a lasting glance before tugging her to him for a harsh kiss. Roughly kaiori would pull herself away, giving a slight smile and a fleeting peck to her husband cheek she pulls herself from him and stands, the red silk of her dress rippling down her curves. She then saunters into the masses of people looking for a certain rude man.*

If there were any children in the city, they might have chanced to look up that night and see what looks like a bright shooting start moving across the sky. Perhaps a few such children would even be superstitious enough to make a wish on the streak of light. And when the trailer of gold stopped midway across the sky, those children with particularly careful ears would even here a distant and faint reply to their wishes.

"WHOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooo!!" Than's wings disappeared and the golden energy faded behind him as he stopped propelling himself forward under his own power and let his momentum carry him into the city. "Hmm... oh right, changing time." While sailing quietly through the air, Than pulled out the polkadotted clown constume from his bag and actually began slipping it on in midair. It was but a simple suit afterall. Soon Than came low enough to land on a building top, where he would roll twice and then leap off that building closer to the main tower, keeping his forward momentum going. As he continued to get closer, the bag would be dropped in a dumpster in an alley way, the other contents of the bag secretly hidden in the clown suit itself. By the time Than actually reached the block where the tower was, he was all dressed up like clown, only to eventually find he wouldn't even really need it. The guards were total slobs and half paying attention, even less toward the back entrance where entertainment would be entering. "All that effort for nothing.... oh well...." Than muttered to himself, sauntering past the oblivioius guards and soon enough into the main ball room where he woud keep his disguise and begin his little act of entertainment. Although dressed as a clown, he would act more like a mime, picking out certain attendants and humoring them by mimicing their actions and charading, all of them completely oblivious to the clown's real relationship to the royal pair.

First and foremost Than was lucky that Tegral's assault shuttle, hovering just above atmospheric levels, didn't blow him out of the sky! Weapons armed and trained on the Twice Royal it was looking for threats within the city itself, mostly in the form of hostile energy signatures. Once Than broke his mad dash charge the ship definitely homed him in on his sites though did not open fire as he didn't appear to be a threat in any sort of nature.

Back inside the party Tegral had chosen himself a nice little patch of ground a little distance away from the royal thrones and simply waited. Was he certain Kaiori was going to come out and find him? Of course not, but it was a game he was willing to play if not for the fact it was definitely entertaining. Having acquired something to drink Tegral let himself relax as much as he could before Rookin and Kah, almost simultaneously sent reports of...yep, Thanatos entering the premises. Oh this was going to get fun.

On the other end of the ball Rookin's advantaged height gave him the ability to see over most of the people at the ball, though no doubt Thanatos would be able to spot the armored man like a dagger sticking out of a pile of wood. The first time Rookin detected Thanatos' presence he had used Kah to verify his findings, only to find that she'd found him first and was making a second sweep of the room to pin-point his location. Taking a couple of measured steps away from his partner Rookin formed a tracking relay between the two...well let's just say they didn't fully believe Thanatos was in a friggen clown suit.

"Ignore him."
Tegral ordered over the command channel and active sensors shut down. Orders were orders.
