Kev had stared at the picture while she was getting her new gun. He remembered that night. Kev had liked the feeling of friendship and security that time held. Now everything was so dramatic. Kev climbed into the car that was set aside for him when he turned sixteen, King had never seen it so they would be safe inside behind bullet broof and tinted glass.
Joker turned back to Serrendy with the same smile he had given Gem, "You wrecked your bike? Great, now I'm going to have to pay for it huh?" he chuckled and shook his head.

Gem slipped into the driver’s seat and placed her gun on her lap as she inserted the key into the ignition. The car came to life, be quietly, it was not vary flashy as far as most of the vehicles they had went. "I still say you should have made him buy you a Jag." Gem teased the boy as she pulled out onto the street. "Where am I going?" She glanced over at him and listened carefully to his directions.

Kev looked down at the city he had written, "Next town over. Just a few miles south." he answered quickly.

Gem nodded and looked back at the road, She was a good driver, if a little cautious compared to Joker's standards. She drove the speed limit all the way there and fiddled with the radio unconchesly. "Can, I umm, I can do it?" She asked now moving her gaze from the road.

Kev grimaced, "It's my job Gem... I really only brought you for a ride or back up." he admitted, "Well... I guess if you really want. Can I know why?" he asked, reloading his gun with a frown.

Gem glanced back momentarily at the boy. "Well, He is very skilled, and he said he would not kill me..." She looked back at the road and spotted Kings red convertible about a mile away in a parking lot. It was very flashy and easy to find. She pulled into the lot and unbuckled. "Love you." She opened her door and got out of the car.

Kev jumped out and held his gun at the ready. He walked into the hotel lobby and hid his gun under his hand while walking to the elevator.
King stood waiting for the elevator, it was going down to the lobby from the floor below him.

Gem walked Up to the front desk and smiled kindly at the woman who sat behind it. "Um, I'm sorry but I'm looking for my Dad? He said he was staying here and that I should meet him for dinner? Could I please have is room number?...Mr. King? I think that's what he goes by now..." She laughed and the woman fouls the number for her and sent her on her way.
Gem walked to the elevator. "#105" She said and stepped into the small moving room, pushing the right button.

Kev walked in the elevator and waited until it stopped on the same floor as King. The doors opened and Kev raised his gun, "You're name was in the Loom, King." he said, showing him the assignment.
King raised his hands in defeat before crouching and spinning while drawing two guns and aiming them up, "I'm not going to let you kill me just yet, Kev." he growled, keeping one gun on Kev and the other on Gem.

Gem moved slowly and took out her own gun slowly pointing it at King. "Please King, Don't do this." She slipped her foot forward to keep the doors from closing at an inconvenient time. She closed one eye and made sure her aim was good. She looked a little sad, but not broken.

Kev took a step forward, "King, it's time. Fate has decided, this needs to happen. Kill one, save one thousand King, remember the Code!" he said, trying to show him what the Fraternity was about, "Nobody betrays the Fraternity without meeting the consequences King. My grandfather learned that the hard way! And the Code can't be broken without the same consequences! Sloan learned that too!" he exclaimed.
King smirked, "I guess I'm the exception, Kev. Tell your father I said hello won't you?" he shot Kev in the shoulder without aiming and ran down the hall to get away from Gem.
Kev fell back into the elevator, "Get him! Get him dammit Gem!" he growled through clenched teeth.

Gem did not need directions from Ex, She was already chasing after king, shooting strategically at his back. "Damn it King!" She yelled Her Dr.Martain boots clomped as she ran as hard as she could after him. She was closing in on him and she kept shooting. He would pay from hurting her little boy!

King shot backwards at Gem several times and ducked into an open room. He jumped out the window through the window of the next building and rolled. King jumped up and started running again.
Kev stood up and moved as fast as he could after them with his gun out. He was a ways behind Gem but he was keeping pace.

Gem dodged the bullets no problem, he was not aiming and he was panicked. She followed close being, leaping thorough the window and rolling once before jumping back up and closed one eye aiming carefully as she shot at King. "what the hell is wrong with you old man!" She hissed under her breath. With her long legs ad youthful energy, Gem caught up with him soon enough and grabbed t the back of his shirt.

King whirled around and aimed his guns at Gem, "He told me to, Him. I don't act on my own anymore. I act through His will." he said angrily, "He wants you to leave his servant alone or His servant will have to kill you." King gasped, "He doesn't want you to die, but if His servant has to kill, His servant will."
Kev jumped through the window after them and didn't roll. His good shoulder hit the wall violently and he cringed. Kev aimed his gun at King, "Who's 'He' King?" he asked carefully, it was obvious they were dealing with a very dangerous crazed person.
King's eyes flashed to Kev, "He is all powerful. He wanted your father dead, but Fate didn't agree with Him. Now He disagrees with Fate and does as He pleases with His servant. He is my Master, He is the true leader of the Fraternity." he answered quickly and quietly, "He is Sloan."
((Basically, King thinks Sloan is giving him orders from the afterlife))
