The Guard smiled at her grasped her shoulders gently, she'd been through enough today. "Not at all." HIs hands dropped and he pushed his hat down from the back and looked at her with one eye. "Just don't tell anyone and no one will misinterpret it." Hatter winked at her and smiled again.

Lory's blushed increased by a tenfold. "Th-Th... Thank you..." She leaned up to kiss his cheek, but instead missed and kissed his mouth. Lory noticed this and quickly backed away a couple of inches, taking off her goggles to clear away the steam. She had hazel-colored eyes.

Hatter flushed just as much as she did, he cleared his throat to say something but forgot them when he saw her eyes. "You have very pretty eyes...I didn't notice before."

Lory put her goggles back on. "Th-Thank you..." Well, she thought, maybe he's been kissed before, so it doesn't affect him... as much as it did me... Lory began to walk in the direction of where his house was; she had watched him form afar, after all.

As Lory walked passed him his legs almost gave out beneath him, the Guard stopped himself just short of following when he noticed that she was going in the EXACT direction of his house. Hatter smiled at the thought that a girl liked him enough to watch where he lived. He followed after her and politely cut in front so he could open the gate for her.
The house was odd but so was he, it kinda resembled a leaning house only it had a slight form of a hat. It was painted to match the setting so he wouldn't be disturbed when he wanted some time to himself.

Lory walked in, blushing at his politeness, and then waited outside of his door for him to unlock it. Her heart was racing; she had always dreamed of being cared for by him, but not like this. Not living in his house. That dream always seemed too far for her to reach, but, within one day... Thank you, Marche...

The Guard whistled as he shut the gate then whipped out his house keys and searched through them for the doors. The bright green metal glimmered in the light and he stopped whistling to address Lory. "I'm afraid there's only one bed but you can have it, I'll take the couch."
Hatter opened the door and the smell of lilac hit him full force, he coughed as stepped aside to let her in. That damn singing flower, she smelt beautiful but sure packed a punch. He shut the door and turned the latch, "Sorry about the smell. Lilac doesn't know when to stop."

Lory nodded, blushing, and then smiled at the smell. "I lived in the woods, you know. I'm used to strong flower-scents." She went and sat on the couch nervously, and her rat wriggled out of her tense grip to sleep on a small, discarded pillow. Lory laced her fingers together, not sure what was the proper thing to do.

Hatter scowled at the rabbit that wasn't a rabbit; whatever it was he didn't like it but he bit his tongue at any comment about it. "Make yourself at home, bedroom is upstairs to the left." The Guard walked to the open kitchen and and flicked the flower that nestled quietly in the window sill. "Lilac please go easy on the scent, its just a little strong in here." The purple flower shook itself then crossed its leaves in an attitude, making a humph noise she spoke in a rather sour manner. "If you please Mr. Hatter, I was in the middle of my beauty sleep! How dare you wake me." She puffed a cloud of lilac in his face and he coughed, "Sorry, but I have company and its rude to set the whole house on Lilac fire."

Lory got up, and, finding him, she hugged him. "Th-thank you C-Captain... ", she said, blushing. "For everything..."

For the moment the Guard forgot the smart-alack flower and felt Lory's warmth behind him, he flushed and placed his hand over hers. "My pleasure. Anything to ease Marche's torture."

Lory flushed at his hand touching hers. "Your hand is touching mine. I-I'm sorry if it was an accident. ....is it... an accident?" She looked up at him, hopeful.

Hatter was thankful that he faced away from her, he wouldn't have been able to say the next words if he was facing her. Taking his free hand he closed the window to Lilac and turned his head to look at Lory sidelong. "No, it wasn't an accident."

Hatter in turn wrapped his arms around her and kissed her back; he wasn't sure what he was doing but he liked it. A tapping at the window made Hatter pull back against his will and he scowled at the flower. "Excuse me for a moment, the little baby is wanting food." The Guard hesitantly pulled away from her and grabbed the bag of fertilizer that sat by the sink, flinging the door open he shoved his hand in the bag and brought out a handful of the redwood stuff and patted it neatly down around Lilac. "Well thank you very much sir, and must I say that your lady friend is absolutely--" He shut the door before the flower could finish speaking, he wanted to say it not a flower.
