FaithHopeLove hi guys! sorry I forgot to actually post that I was leaving but I'm back now! I was in Atlanta, Georgia for the Passion '07 Conference. In case you don't know what it is, it's basically 4 days where a bunch of college-age Christians get together and worship God. They get to be lead by popular Christian bands (like David Crowder was there) and well-known Christian speakers like Beth Moore and John Piper. There were 24,000 people there going to huge worship services and attending "break-out" sessions where we discussed specific topics and what the Bible says about them. It was just really cool. Actually, if you guys wanted to see what it was like, you can go to www.268generation.com and watch any of the actual services you want. I have to say that the music was ESPECIALLY awesome and that alone is worth watching the videos. If you really do want to watch a whole video, my favorite session was the one with Francis Chan as the speaker. Sounds like fun. I don't really believe in god but I agree with Lana. I go on confrences and retreats sort of like that except with out the God part. It was more about us being a community and sharing are feelings without the god part sweatdrop

well, for us, God was what united us. We were all there because we wanted to worship Him and we wanted to learn more about Him. Our "community" is based on the belief that we've recognized that all humans have sin and that we need God to save us from death. It's really awesome, though, to be able to meet with that many people that are all there for the same reason and they all want to praise God together and ask Him to work in their lives. It was nice to get away from home and do all of that because it really made me feel closer to God when all I was doing was focusing on him, but I'm sooooo glad to be back home because 4 days of being stuck in a 24,000-person crowd for every minute of the day (except when I slept) was not my cup of tea.
