"Perhaps a bad place to teleport to, but I'll go with it." Erik stopped to think about what Krious had said. "A light in every shadow...a shadow in every light. What did he mean? Did he mean that there is light and darkness in everyone, even people who seem as if they are completely dedicated to one side?" Erik wondered. "If there truly is a light within him, then maybe I can free him from the Darkness that controls him. The only way to counter his power is total control over Light. And if I can free him, maybe we'll all leave happily ever after or some crap like that."

Pandora growled as the two were allowed to escape. "Krious, I hope no one will think you have gone soft." She scowled.

Krious frowned. "Soft? Hard? Tough as nails? What am I, truly? I have gained so much power, my dear. And yet, I have no identity. This darkness...so much power could be gained from it, and yet, the cost of gaining that power is that you never have true control of such power. I have never wanted the Seekers to fight the Agatheists. Every learned person on the face of the world knows that there is a precarious balance that must be maintained. If the balance if shaken because there is too much power in the hands of one person on one side, then an equal amount of power will appear in the hands of someone from the other side of the conflict. If this happened to everyone on both sides, then the universe would be destroyed, as light and darkness would destroy the other. Nothing would remain."

Krious knew that Pandora was trying to help, and he knew he only had a small amount of time left before the Voice of Darkness overtook him. "Pandora, whatever happens, no matter what I say, never, EVER, attempt to use my power. If you did, you would be attacked by the Voice of Darkness, and it would overtake you like it did me. Never try to use my power. This is the first true order I have ever given anyone. Follow that order until your dying day. Please." The power of Darkness began the assault on Krious's mind, and there was no way he would win. So, he simply surrendered to the Darkness.

"Whatever makes you happy" She smiled after a long pause. Truthfully she belived it to be a load of crud, but still. She humed a tune "If My nightmare is true..." She trailed off going into the remains of a burt down house. She picked up a half used bubbles and strted to blow them happily. "SO far my nightmare place isn't verry nightmareish.

Pandora sighed. "What if I want to? You wouldn't have to carry the burden alone. Maybe...maybe I hate seeing you like that, I want it to end." She said as one solitary tear rolled down her cheek. She had just admitted the reason why she disliked the queen to be. She didn't deserve to stand by his side, in her opinion. A husband and wife are supposed to share their troubles and burdens with eachother, not watch while the other one suffers. Pandora turned to walk away, knowing he had been taken by the Darkness once again, and it always pained her to see him in that state.

The power of Darkness was recoiling once more against Pandora's tears. Krious smiled. Darkness didn't know how to deal with someone else's emotions, as Darkness had no room for feelings. "Pandora!" Krious said, forcing Pandora to look up at him. "Know this:It is not Serrenedy that is undeserving to stand at my side, it is me who is the unworthy one. This Darkness must always remain with me, and I must suffer alone. Do not cry for me, if you wanted to help me, you'd kill me. I sought power, the great power of Darkness. I found this power, but no longer do you see who I truly am. What good is it to gain the universe and yet lose yourself? If I had my way, I would have never stolen the throne. I am unworthy, for I sought a power that was never meant to be in the hands of mortals. Stay away, child, stay far away from the power I wield, lest it consume your heart, and leave you nothing."

Pandora bit her lip. "Krious, I cannot kill someone I have come to love, nor can I abandon them." She stated simply. "We can find a way to save you...I'll die trying if I have to." She said sincerely. Pandora gave him a small kiss on the lips, then turned to walk away, not caring for the result of her bold actions.

Krious smiled. And he decided to impart a little wisdom to Pandora. "Wait! Do you wish to know why the Darkness wishes Erik dead? I know why: Erik is able to use the full power of light. He is destined to bring peace to us all. His powers over Light will one day match my powers of Darkness. I will give you another order: I do not wish you to travel with Erik and Serrenedy, but assist them when the two of you cross paths. Only Erik can save me from the Darkness...I feel weak, knowing I will need to rely on the power of another, but Erik alone can save us all. And remember, the Seekers must walk a fine line between power, and being consumed by it. I did not have the strength to walk that line. I lacked the ability to walk a line of peace."

"What makes you think he would be so wiling to help you? You saw him preparing to fight us. He doesn't trust seekers as far as he could throw them..." Pandora said furiosly. "It seem's as if it will be up to us to save you for that matter." She said, upset that apparently he shrugged off her confession like it was a meaningless statement.

"He doesn't mistrust all Seekers, only me and the ones that killed his family. He'll learn, someday, of his destiny...He will be sure of it..." Krious drifted off, and that was all it took for the Darkness to seize him again.

She returned to Erick now-still blowing bubbles "Looksie what I found, it's right where I remeber...dreamed." She shrugged but took out the tellaportation card "so where do you wanna go?" She siled, but seamed to see something inside the remains of the house and ran to it

Erik called after her. "Hey, wait up!" Erik didn't want Serrenedy running off on her own. Erik thought Krious may have been trying to say something inside of what he was saying. Crazy? Yes, but them again, Krious was crazy himself.

Serrenedy barely registered Erick bumping into her as she stopped on a dime. They were in what once might hve been a kitchen, burned to the ground. She bent down and swept away the ash on a charred picture drawn by a small child. "What do you sopuse happened here?"
