The crabomb made a sort of shockwave as it exploded when the foot made contact. Michael's skin was undamaged, but every bone within his foot felt like it had shattered.

Michael's eyes watered rather a lot and he sat down somewhat heavily. Now that he actually had anticipated, but he had hoped the bomb would follow some law of reality in that most explosives aren't so volatile that you can't kick them away. Most just go off when the fuse burns out. Apparently not this one. And now his foot was probably broken. He hoped they had medical facilities. Or at least a medic. Or at least a crutch. Wherever it was they had been going in those vans.

"Hoh, s**t!" Jacobo said after turning towards the sound of the explosion. He ran over to Michael and dropped to his knees. Jacobo began to examine Michael's foot, "What happened?"

"Crabomb," Michael offered. "I figured if I shot it it'd blow up bigger than it did, so I tried to get it away from me." It hadn't worked.
((You know, 'tisn't fair to call Michael an idiot for kicking the bomb. It sounded like he couldn't outrun it, and he didn't know how much power it had. Perhaps shooting it would make it blow up bigger so it's not like he would've lost anything kicking it. Plus most real explosives don't go off when you kick their container. Excepting nitroglycerin, apparently.))

((Would it be helpful to point out now that if you so much as stepped up onto a bench it would've been foiled?
Also, kicking unknown explosives that are pursuing you is generally not a good idea - it clearly had some sort of rudimentary intelligence if it could pursue you.))

((Crab! Bomb! Crabomb!
Have you ever seen a crab jump? It's not designed for it! It does not have a jumping-capable anatomy!))

Jarik picked the ring back up and put it in his pocket, so as to not drop it again. ((Same question as Joe, my next move sorta depends on wether the gearbox is still there or not.))

"Crab? Bomb? Crabomb? What's that?" Jacobo asked, not understanding, "Nevermind, does this hurt?" he asked, pressing the top of Michael's foot gently.

"Crambomb is crap that hurts a bomb with crab legs," Michael explained painfully. "I wonder if it is broken."

"That makes sense." Jacobo said as he began to remove Michael's (supposedly) tattered boot, "It's really ******** up, feels broken. What the Hell did you do? Kick the damn thing?"

((BTW, Cabal and Dust updates will either be sporadic or retardedly frequent. Why? I hate December. Why? This s**t happened again. No other guy, this time, but it still sucks. I swear. Two Decembers in a row. ******** this...))
