The echidna stopped and glanced around for a moment. He went submerged in the water, but just below the surface, and waited a little.

He spluttered as, despite his best efforts, he accidentally inhaled a mouthful of water. But he pressed on. The isle was so close...
((Sorry about the delay there; I'm pretty much being stalked, so I got momentarily distracted))

The echidna shot out as hard as he could from the water, going quite a few feet into the air. He began gliding towards the Isle. From what i've been through, I dont even want to dare to touch water again..
(( Sorry, playing zOMG!, lol ))

He was momentarily taken aback when Mits began to glide, but did his best to ignore it, tried to fuel his remaining energy in reaching the isle first...
((Don't worry about it, I think with one thing and another, I've been making you wait stupid amounts of time today))

A splutter of smoke left the vent in Mits's back. He glided out at a much slower pace, no doubt exhausted and drained. He even stopped gliding for a few moments in midair.
(( No, I'm the one doing that ))

Aizel tried to ignore his own fatigue, taking advantages of Mits' now reduced speed. He thought he was beginning to slow down a little himself, but kept going anyway, even though his body was now screaming at him to stop.
He reached out with one hand, and slapped it down on the ground again, as he finally, laboriously made it to the isle.
((Think we're both as bad as each other today, lol))

Mits did not give up. A barrage of flames exploded from his back, causing him to stop gliding completely. He went across the water like a skipping stone and violently crashed onto the land.

Aizel pulled himself out of the water, and flopped down on the ground, breathing heavily, and cast his gaze over to Mits.
'Well...that was...fun,' he panted. '...You okay?'

Mits rolled over just barely. He did not reply, but just stared up at the night sky.

Aizel tried to sit himself up, and failed. He then decided that he was more comfortable lying on the ground.
'To hell with it,' he mumbled.

"No more of that.." He managed to murmur. "Say, err.. Aizel, did you notice how the moon was blocked out during that one part?"

'I noticed it got...darker, but I didn't really...pay much attention to why,' he breathlessly admitted. 'Why...? What happened?'

"It.. it was the Carrier. A gigantic, complex airship of which the Metallix Empire lurks about in. They'd probably pass you off into there if.. if they saw you right now. But when you're a human, they'd maul you to death.. know what I mean?"

Aizel's eyes widened again, and he let out a low whistle.
'Th-Thank God I look...like, like this, then,' he replied, the stammer kicking in once more. He could not help but feel that the sooner he found his way back to the facility, the better.

"Yeah.. there's not a whole bunch we can do right now. I am waaaayy too tired from that ocean's swim out there." He motioned to a broken leg and arm.
(( Whoops, got too distracted watching this one video ))
