"I am a little curious about what is in that room." she said calmly to herself. "No, you sunk a ball.... you keep going until you don't sink one, or you sink one of mine, or you scratch... and then I go." She said cocking her head confused

"You sunk the ball." he said, winking and leaning on the table.
As he did, he looked around. Everything seemed to be rather gloomy in the mansion, either dusty or unused looking.
It was a little eerie, even for a thousand plus year old demon.
He looked over his shoulder at the clock, then back at Rikku.

The clock said it was almost 12:30. Tomha was in the hidden room experimenting with his work as he usually does. A Small globe was in the corner of the Game room with colored Nails hammered in various areas showing a trail like he's been stalking someone. The Blue nails showed from Antarctica, over seas to this location. The Red Nails showed random spots around the world.

Rikku smiled and took aim at her next shot, she aimed carefully. Right as she took her shot the globe sprung to life, shocking her as she launched both the cue ball and whatever ball she was aiming at into the air flying across the room. "What the hell!?" SHe said looking at it, ready to attack it. She wasn't familiar with the technologies demons used so it always freaked her out a bit when it things like that just turned on out of nowhere...

"That's a globe, it shows what this Earth looks like." He said coming into the game room. "I brought it out to update it. It's from my most interesting experiment. I think Gods shouldn't have all the fun so I experiment in forbidden things, even to demons, but I'll talk more about that experiment some other time." When he came towards them he had a golden gauntlet on instead of that black one he had earlier.

"I wear a gauntlet because I've always worn one through out my entire life covering my left hand since I was born with a deformed hand. But it does more then have fashion they help make my magic attacks more powerful. Silver my first, Gold my upgrade, and Platinum with Diamonds was my ultimate gauntlet. I can only use their special power when I'm strong enough, my best one cannot be used anymore." He explained.
"As for a globe...." He sighed. "A Globe is the earth so you just know where's what."

"Oh, well it's from another plane of existance. One of my experiments was to try and create my own dimension, it was barely successful. The dimension I made was completely empty of blackness only as large as a closet. So since making it larger would take hundreds of years and I lacked that time I threw things in it. I threw a Globe, a Book, and a statue." He explained.
"As long as it's in that dimension and I summon it into a different dimension it glows showing it is no longer ment to exist in this dimension. I was rather proud I made a tiny pocket universe. It was the first of one of my experiments my former master only dreamed of doing." He explained as the globe began to fade away. "But since I'm not as strong as I use to be I can only make things from my...Pocket Universe I think I will call the Cross Realm appear for a short moment of time and can't enter my own Cross Realm." He said proudly at first then more casual.
"Sure some experiments are dangerous and forbidden but I use to push my borders and tried to touch god's domain, only that I either fail or have little success."

During this whole ordeal, Oni, being who he is, sunk two balls before spinning the cue between his fingers, walking over to the globe himself.
"Pocket universe, eh? Cool." he said, looking at Tomha.
"But about that last line...someone somewhere once said something along the lines of: Never play God." he said casually.
"What exactly where you trying to do?" Oni asked, still spinning the cue.

"Well I mostly wanted to see where my limits were. I can create a tiny universe but my main goal fails. My main experiment was to bring the dead back to life, not as a undead corpse but as a living being untouched by decay. I spent 50 years trying this but every time they either live but the decay took it's toll and die, or they became undead. I tried to restore the tissue but it just reverts to the original form in a matter of minutes." He said sadly.

Oni simply laughed.
"Oh come on, raise the dead? That's impossible, no matter what, for a few reasons."
Oni held out a hand and extended his index finger.
"One. When you die, you die. Brain shuts down, heart shuts down, but you know that already. To jumpstart that is hard enough."
He extended his middle finger so that he had two pointing.
"Two. Age happens. So does decay. If a person's been dead for a while, or was fairly old, then even if you succesfully brought them back, decay and old age would take them back."
He extended his ring finger.
"Three. If you did bring someone back to life, it's usually through essential functions, right? Heart, lungs, brains, etcetera. But if you don't start the metabolism, then the bacteria that decompose things will eat away as if nothing happened, and if that didn't happen, disease will. The common cold could kill your guinea pig."
"Four." he said, holding up a final finger. "Fourth and last. Why? I don't mean to sound...well, mean, or anything, but I have to admit, that's depraved...perverted, in a way. Once someone's dead they won't be the same. Oxygen starvation to the brain could change it so much that you may end up having someone completely different then the day they passed on." Oni concluded.
