Gladious shook off the embarrassment as soon as he heard a scream of immense pain. His face was immediately turned to where the sound came from, and he was running towards it in a second's notice. Replaying the sound of pain in his mind, he realized it must have been Furia. This sent him running faster than he was before as the adrenaline spread through his veins. "I won't let anything happen to those that I...love. Not again!", he thought. Coming up the hallway, Gladious saw her crouched in a position of pain, clutching her shin. Dropping to his knees alongside her, he carefully pulled her hand away from the wound and quickly examined it. "Took a little trip, did you? Its alright, I'll fix it in no time." When he finished saying this, he laughed through his nose, and breathed in with his nostrils. He noticed something wasn't right, as the air smelled different than the rest of the castle. Silently he thanked his ancestors for lending him their Elven senses of smell, hearing, and sight. He called upon The Annoyance to get rid of the problem using the dark powers of the curse. What the Phoenix did then, Gladious knew it had never been used before. A barely visible shadow against the icy walls was pulled into him, and vanished inside his heart. Gladious wouldn't notice how his shadow grew just a bit longer. He re focused on Furia, knowing that it was safe around them for the moment. Placing the palms of his hands above her shin, a deep blue energy flowed out of his hands into her shin. He visualized the broken bones mending and the skin tissue healing, and that is exactly what they did. When he was done, his dark, handsome features lit up with playful joy, knowing she'd be fine. "You're leg should be fine," he said soothingly. "Here! Grab my hand!"

♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ Furia's dark eyes blinked away the tears of pain and released a few tears of happiness. She stretched out her healed leg, just like anyone would do after waking up in the morning. She noticed Gladious' outstretched hand and took it out of curiosity. Furia smiled at him, knowing he was in a good mood...for the time being. ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ Sorry that it's short...I keep having distractions and such today, but I can't really focus. ^^;;

Gladious pulled her up to her feet, still holding her hand. For what seemed like a long time, neither of them said anything. He noticed he was still holding her hand. Blushing once again, he quickly slipped his hand out of hers, hiding it behind his back as though it had been soiled with dirt. "I...'m sorry. I...", at that moment, he knew he didn't have to say words. He knew that she knew his feelings for her. Of course she does, foolish boy! You've made it so obvious! Mentally, he glared at The Annoyance. A short reply is answered with a short reply. My hands are too stiff to type this morning. >.<

♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ Furia furrowed her brows in a sort of confused way, but she was still curious about Gladious. She knew that he had feelings for her, yes, but she didn't want to return the feelings because she knew when she would die. She didn't want to leave any ethereal connections to him. Furia started to cry out of sadness when she repeated what thoughts she just had a few times in her head. Her dark eyes turned an icy color after Gladious released her hand and she flew off down the halls once more. Her feet made no noise when they hit the floor, and oddly enough, her sobs were as silent as the wind outside. ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ That's quite alright. ^_^;; I'm just in the middle of getting ready for an assembly tonight for rising 9th graders. I have to perform in it. CX

Left in the lonely hall, alone. How many times had this happened to him in his life. If he tried to count, he just might cry out of self pity. Then suddenly, he heard a mental click. It was as if he was telling himself to, "Snap out of it! I'll stand by Furia no matter what." Extending himself to his full height, he walked speedily down the hallway, following the light imprints Furia's petite feet left behind. He couldn't deny his feelings any longer. Gladious didn't think his emotions would prevail, but in the end they did. He'd keep trying. Cool! How did the 9th grade thing go?

After pulling the magic key from her neck and opening the hole in the icy wall once more, Furia closed herself in it. She could think of nothing better to do except lock herself in the most magical room in the entire castle. No one could get in. All of what she said, having parents...She was adopted. Her parents had abandoned her. She never knew where she came from or how she got here, wherever here is anymore. Out of an anger fit, Furia hastily picked up a box she was told to never touch and threw it at a wall, shattering it, but she hadn't noticed what came out of it. She continued her raging sadness by throwing other pricey items at various walls in the room until she had grown tired enough and pitied herself. She crawled to a corner of the room and cried softly to herself while yet another spirit was picking up some of the splintered items and aiming them at Furia in fatal positions.
It was fun. XD I'm never wearing 4-inch heels again.. x.x

Gladious continued to follow the footsteps until he saw them disappear at the wall. He knew immediately from the time he had crashed his head into the wall on accident. Not your brightest achievement, twinkletoes. "You wonder why I call you The Annoyance!" Slipping his ears up to the door hidden in the wall, he heard the sound of Furia, crying. It tore up his heart. Why did a girl this young have to feel all these painful emotions? He was going to continue asking himself these questions until he picked out a strange magical feeling inside the room. It was the same feeling emitted by the last evil spirit they had come in contact with! From then on Gladious reacted from a mix of adrenaline and deeply burnt instinct. In a second he had unsheathed the heavy ice sword that was Furia's tearful gift to him. Jamming it in the middle of the door, some sort of magical force allowed it to crack through the magically sealed door. He leapt forward into the room, towards Furia just as the dark spirit shot the sharp projectiles at her. He was too late! No, he wasn't, as the tell tale signs of sharp pain shot throughout his body and he let out a yell. Gladious didn't allow his brain to linger on the thing it wanted to: the pain. The only thing he paid attention too was getting rid of the evil spirit in the room. And that was what he did. Once again, he didn't notice where the evil spirit went. His shadow lengthened. "Furia, I need to know that you're alright...please." Gladious knew the longest, sharpest shard was penetrating through his heart and out the back. And he knew that this shard was aimed towards her head. It would have killed her, and it might kill him, despite the Curse's ability to heal. Ironic, he thought. He was supposed to kill her, and he kept finding himself saving her, and this time he could die.
Yipes! I can't imagine how hard it was to walk in those. gonk Sorry if this post is below my average quality. I don't know why I couldn't seem to write well today...

Furia lifted her head, her eyes still draining icy tears, and she looked up at Gladious. "...I'm alright..." she said as though she hadn't picked up the shock of seeing the shard straight through a vital organ in a critical position. She brought a hand up slowly to the sharp object, then brought herself toward it. Furia closed her eyes and let out a cloudy breath, making the shard disappear, leaving a gaping hole where Gladious' heart should be. While she had been taking her time moving toward her hand, her magic had been forming an elliptical scintillating object, which she now thrust into the gap in Gladious' chest. The hole disappeared with a few bright flashes of light and a swirling sound, leaving Gladious healed. Furia turned heel out of the room and off down the hall, trying to avoid Gladious for the sake of his life.
I actually walked four blocks in them to get to the Citizen Center..I parked around behind one of the shops because I haven't practiced parallel parking...<.<;; Nah, it looks fine. ^^ You seem to like typing a lot anyway so it gives me some form of entertainment to read as well. I like replying to your posts, and I do like it when you add a bit of comic relief to them too! X3

She was a wondrous girl. He was a hardened, pained boy who had no social talent at all. What could he do? She amazed him. He was a pathetic mess. He'd already made up his mind to protect her, and he swore he would. But now he knew that he would protect her even with his life. The destiny of Gladious killing Furia would be reversed. In the act of protecting Furia, Gladious himself would die. A trickle of sweat ran down his cheek. "Wait...that isn't sweat." Although Gladious didn't know it, what was rolling down his cheek was a tear. He had never experienced crying. Growing up without a family and distant to all others had left him null of many emotions. "How pathetic I am. I'm crying and I didn't know it." Gladious stood up and quickly followed Furia. It was his self made destiny. He'd die, if he had to, for Furia.

After running about three miles through the castle, Furia came to a halt on the roof of the great building. She climbed upon one of the tresses of the towers and wrapped an arm around the flagpole, holding herself up in place. She stared up at the clear sky. NorA was settled, and the 'Spring' feel of the season was starting up. More snow was melting away, leaving chilly puddles over the gravel path that was there during the hot season, and over the fields where the White Roses would start their migration under the giant Wayward Pines, where it would be cooler than the rest of the Valley. Furia tried to ignore several facts, many of which were painstaking and harsh to even think, but few were just upsetting and mind-troubling ... She blinked away the thoughts as her eyes blended with the sky in a miraculous blue... Edit 10:55 AM March 3rd: Hi. XD

Gladious's chest heaved up and down with the deep breaths he took in as he ran in pursuit of Furia. He hadn't ran this far in a long time, but he could take it. Gladious came upon a staircase, pale as the ice around him. He decided to quietly tiptoe up them, as if from some instinct. He saw his instincts proved correct as he neared the top of the steps. The silhouette of Furia's dark beautiful form was standing out across the cloudy white sky like the moon in the dark night sky. "Strange..." he thought to himself, "for a second I couldn't take a breath." He knew why this had occurred. She had stunned him with her beauty. Everything in his human nature wanted to run and hold her in his arms, kiss her. Yet, somehow he was able to resist the physical urge that came naturally with being a human, even if his body held only a portion of humanity. Instead of obeying the urge, he silently drifted to her side on the flagpole. He tried to talk, but at first, the words wouldn't come out. Then the words flowed out gracefully and he knew it was due to The Annoyance having pity on his feelings for her. "Even if you and I are not meant to be together, I'd sooner die than not stand by your side." He waited a moment for the words to caress her ears, but mostly so he could think of more words. He imagined The Annoyance shaking his head at how dull he really was. "I won't let these...spirits hurt you, even if I have to destroy every single one of them!" He allowed his eyes to indulge in her gorgeous form, hair gently cascading in the soft breeze. She was like sugar to look upon, now that he'd allowed his feelings to take over. *waves* Whats up? biggrin

You're a Liar! No-A Trickster! And a thief apparently, since you've stolen an honest man's heart! Her much hated thoughts were zooming about her mind, shrouding it, covering it with pessimism and sadness. Furia couldn't understand why he loved her so much, why he was attracted to her... She let the thoughts go when she looked up at his dark form. Maybe it was a trick of the light, but he somehow looked older to her...Older than 15. Is he aging? I wonder... Furia blinked once, a normal action that wouldn't seem obvious, but it was dangerous. That blink sent out a signal, and Furia knowing about all the dead spirits floating around, was a deadly signal indeed. What energy she had used was like fish bait though - usable only for one capture. The bait worked, and a Spirit was pulled in. Naturally, a Spirit that is baited is a willful one, and it automatically bent to her reason. Though it seemed as if it wouldn't attack her, it shook the feeling off after realizing her thought process. It formed an energy orb, surefire aim at Furia. It bent the light around the orb and shot it at her, surely not to miss. Oh, the usual. XD Though I'm having trouble trying to pick out my classes for next year. =/

Gladious stood there, looking at her in shock, as she looked back at him. That moment, he would remember for the rest of his life, no matter how short it would be after what he was about to do. Gladious noticed the deadly orb out of his peripherals, saw it headed with demonic speed and intentions towards Furia. He didn't have to think about what he did next. In only a half a second, Gladious had summoned the Curse to give him wings, and armor only his right arm. He flew in between the dangerous spirit, right arm outstretched, ready to take the blow. Strangely to him, the energy was sucked inside him, as it dodged his arm and disappeared into his chest. His shadows grew longer, once again. Gladious didn't feel any older, and later that day, when he came across a mirror in the castle, he looked exactly the same as he had a week ago. What Gladious didn't know was that the Dark Phoenix Curse was absorbing the dark energies of the spirits. These extra powers formed an invisible aura around him, lengthening the spread of his shadow across the surface he was standing upon. After this unexpected turn of events, Gladious dipped off the side of the castle on accident. He was prepared for this, however, and he swept back up to the tower, and stood alongside Furia. Gladious allowed himself a moment to admire her again, then set his mind back to the situation at hand. "Did you...see that? The spirit...it..."
