Robert had figured Munchlax would be next. He already saw from one of Jake's previous battles how he used that electric attack. Although the attack would certainly hurt, Gyrados was built like a tank. it would take about three of those in total to bring him down. "Hogan return. Lilly, Confusing Stare!" He spoke as he swapped out his pokemon. Hogan still took the hit, but it was worth the setup to draw out Munchlax, one of the only known threats to his Gyarados. WIth the combination of confusion and mean look, he would be able to focus on bringing Munchlax down without worry of Jake swapping out.

Jake was thankful that his shockwave had still managed to hit gyarados, but felt a bit of worry when Kirlia came out, using mean look on Munchlax. The confusing stare hit. However, it didn't leave Munchlax confused. Jake decided that to win this battle, he had to be quick on his toes and expect the unexpected. "Munchlax, use foreceful lick!" Munchlax soared in the air towards Kirlia with a Zen headbutt attack. Upon contact, Munchlax would then flip back and then use a lick attack. This attack had a high chance of both flinching and paralyzing. But Jake knew that those added affects wouldn't always happen.

"Now, use Maiden of Blossoms!" Robert called out. Lilly first used Teleport to put herself out of harm's way, then used double team to create ten images of herself in a circle around Munchlax. During this, she unleashed Magical Leaf, using it pelt at Munchlax and surround it like a whirlwind formation. This would help to dampen the effects of a shockwave counterattack.

As munchlax was being pelted at by the magical leaf, Jake quickly decided that his main priority should be getting rid of Kirlia's clones. He figured his best bet would be to use shockwave in all directions. Though it wouldn't do much damage with the countering magical leaf, it would still get rid of most of the clones and find the real Kirlia. Then Jake could use some other means of attack. "Munchlax, use shockwave in all directions!" Munchlax let out a force of electricity from his body which pushed against the magical leaf and headed in the Kirlias' directions.

Lilly would be hit by the shockwave, but only enough to cancel out her clones and cause a small amount of damage. Thanks to the magical leaf twister, most of the electricity struck the leaves, setting them on fire. "Now, use confusion on the flames and hit Munchlax with a faux will-o-wisp!" Robert called out. Using her Confusion attack, she gathered the flames and lashed out at Munchlax, hoping to cause a burn effect.

"Quick Munchlax, use shockwave to singe the flames to nothing!" Munchlax nodded and sent a powerful shockwave attack at the flaming leaves. As the leaves were headed towards Munchlax, he managed to singe most of the flames into nothing. However, few flaming leaves hit Munchlax, dealing a small amount of damage and luckily, failing to burn him. Jake grinned at his quick thinking and gave Munchlax another command, "Now quick munchlax, use lick while she's in close range!" Munchlax opened his mouth and extended his tongue. Jake was hoping his lick attack would hit, and if not, Jake had something else planned up his sleeve.

Lilly was still a good five feet away from Manchlax. Robert wasn't so foolish as to let his opponent get close enough for a physical attack. "Teleport, then Leaf Drill!" Robert commanded. Lilly Teleported off to the left about ten feet away and used a combination of confusion and magical leaf. The confusion attack would create a sort of drill out of the leaves and shield them from being destroyed this time around. However, Robert was waiting also for Munchlax's next attack, for he had another ace up his sleeve to play.

Robert grinned. it was exactly what he was waiting for. "Lilly Return. Lotus, Painful Blessing of Darkness!" Robert spoke, recalling Lilly and quickly sending out his Umbreon. Lotus came out using Wish, then drove head-first into the electric attack with quick attack, her body becomming paralitically charged in the process. However, Robert counted on this because of her inante ability called Syncronize. As soon as she got that charge, Munchlax would also become paralysed in the process. Regardless of weather or not quick attack landed its mark, she would follow it up with a close ranged Shadow Ball, while at the same time Wish would take effect, healing Lotus of the damage she took from the electric attack.

(Sorry its been a while. Internet was down, but its up and running again.)
Both Munchlax and Umbreon avoided being inflicted with paralysis, this was because shock wave was an electric attack, but it had no added affect of paralyzing. However, Munchlax was hit by Umbreon's Quick Attack. However, Munchlax managed to avoid shadow ball for it was a ghost attack, and ghost attacks didn't affect normal pokemon. Just after being hit by quick attack, Jake gave Munchlax another command, "Munchlax, use tackle wave!" Munchlax kicked himself off the ground and flung himself in the direction of Umbreon. Whether or not Munchlax landed the hit on Umbreon, he would follow up with a shock wave attack. Jake didn't like overusing his attacks, but Munchlax had a limited moveset at this point for zen headbutt and lick would have no effect on Umbreon.

[Sorry, somehow I thought it carried a chance of paralysis]
"Intercept with Painful Blessing and then dive into the Honeycomb!" Robert called out. This would allow her to avoid the thundershock if she could dive into the closest hole in time. Either way, as long as Lotus had access to wish, taking her down was going to be a chore. If she could get in the hole without getting hit, he figured the next move would be shockwave agian to flush her out, but for thatMunchlax would need to get inside himself which would give Robert an opening. However, Robert only held that possability in reserve in his mind. Nothing was certian in a pokemon battle.

Munchlax collided with Umbreon, taking damage, but also dealing some. He then let loose a shockwave attack, but it missed because Umbreon dove into the nearest hole. In Jake's opinion, his choices were limited at this point. Robert had made a smart choice in using mean look and then sending out Umbreon, this would make Munchlax's battle a lot more challenging. After a moment of hesitation, Jake made up his mind, "Munchlax jump into the hole behind you and use shockwave!" Munchlax jumped into the hole and used a shockwave attack. If this successfully worked, the attack would go through the honey comb, attacking everything in its path. But there was no guarantee that this strategy would work.

"Intercept straight ahead with Painful Blessing!" Robert called out. Yes, this was becomming a bit repetative, but since Shadow Ball was ineffective, and Helping Hand only worked in Doubles, Wish and Quick Attack were his only two moves that he could rely on. However, with Lotus's Dark typing, Robert effectively limited his opponent as well. Once more Lotus charged towards Munchlax as he made his way into the comb. With the healing powers of Wish ready to help Umbreon soak up the damage, Lotus took on the shock that was to come, regardless if she struck first or not.

Umbreon's quick attack hit, landing a considerable amount of damage on Munchlax. Jake was ready to recover his health at any time, but he wanted to wait until the last second, so the pecha berry didn't go to waste. "Munchlax, use tackle!" Munchlax yet again kicked himself off the ground and flung himselft towards Umbreon.
