"i swear and promise." kat breathed out shocked. then she looked behind herself confused at what he was looking at, she looked back at him. "thats...amazing.." she was so happy he finally was being truthful with her.

He felt something brush his hair and looked up. His eyes softened. Mother... He looked at the fairly young spirit, who was smiling kindly at him. The spirit gently kissed his cheek and faded away.
