Bianca nodded and followed after Sahari with a small chuckle to herself. "Race you," Bianca teased as if she were a cub and ran off towards the council den.
At the cave she immediately jumped on her rock and took her seat, panting playfully as she looked to see if Sahari had beaten her or if she was behind.

((Whoops! Sorry for being gone for so long! And sorry for sorta smoothing over people's actions too... feel free to elaborate on them more. ^^;; ))
The evening jaunt must have tired her out more than she realized. Thela slept soundly through the morning activities, only waking when Mahora came by yet again to tell her to come to the council.
"Hm? Oh!" she said, rising to her feet quickly, suddenly very awake. She looked a little sheepish, and then serious yet again as Mahora explained the situation. She stretched a bit, holding back a yawn.
"I'll attend with you. But first I should fetch Raiden- he would need to report the investigation, yes?" Before waiting for an answer, she bounded off to find the older cat, calling over her shoulder to her leader that she would be at the council shortly. Once she reached Raiden, she explained that he would be wanted at the council, panting slightly from her run.

Sahari bounded after her leader; Bianca had an advantage over her, what with her longer limbs. Despite this, Sahari seemed to fly across the land, covering the distance from the nursery to the council den quickly. Swift and nimble, the Sand Cat made it to the den only seconds after Bianca; she skidded to a halt, the wild gleam in her eye quickly dying - it had taken over as she raced like a young cub - in the thick air. She took her seat beside Bianca, panting from the run, and grinning briefly up at the white tigress.

Mira's ears were constantly at work, shifting directions to catch sounds. She picked up one of her front paws and licked it. "I though you liked the pride, not that I don't like it it's just weird." She laid down cleaning her paws and looking at him.

Zephre listened to the den leader and her second go, sighing quietly to himself before going to join Konya in the den. "All right little ones! Settle," he said firmly. "And maybe I can remember another story."
Raiden was enjoying the first strong rays of the morning sun as the outriders were waiting for Mahora to start a scout. "Yes of course." Was his reply to Thela's recount. He stepped lightly through the mouth of the council cave, taking in all the faces there. He recognized the skinny young cheetah who had managed to obtain the position of outrider second. Brindle the lead huntress of course and a white tigress whom he vaguely recognized as head of the dens. His eyes came to rest on Calyn for a little longer before he dipped his head in respect to the cats of highest rank in the pride. "It is an honor." He said softly before taking a place on the floor. "You may report, Raiden." Brindle spoke with authority and he had to admit, looked rather stately even with the muddled blend of stripes turning her back the color of dirt. Thinking this he said something entirely different. "With pleasure my leader." He told them all what he waned to tell them, they could not identify the cat who had attacked and killed the leopard assassin, only that the deceased was an outrider not of an admired spirit. The murderer though, he was quite sure was a tiger. "The claw marks and the way the victim was killed said tiger, the rain washed away most of the attacker's scent...we can't even tell if it was male or female." He concluded in a professional manner.
Brindle listened to Raiden's report carefully. Standing when he had finished. "Does anyone have questions for outrider Raiden before he is dismissed?" she asked calmly, her eyes never leaving the liger's. Everything about they way he spoke and moved told of truth, even with her distrusting nature it was hard to doubt him.

The cubs did as zephre said and laid down around konya waiting for a story. "Thank you." She said softly then picked up jasper and walked further into the den out of hearing range. She laid down and made sure he couldn't escape this time. "Still there could have been something in the grass waiting for a little cub like you to come close enough so it could eat the cub. Now your being punished for a few minutes." She started cleaning him, while keeping time in her head.

Calyn watched, noticing how his gaze lingered on her. She didn't trust him, she didn't like him. But she couldn't find fault with anything, although... The rain wouldn't have washed all the hyena blood away, and the scent would've lingered. "Did the blood have anything to do with the lack of scent, or had it been washed away at that point?" she asked. She knew that depending on his answer she could look like an idiot, but she wanted to know his response. Wanted him to mention that it was hyena, something he wouldn't have known if he was as innocent as he claimed. It was male though, he spoke... It wasn't the voice of a female. she thought, planning on telling Brindle everything once everyone was gone.

Kiros stayed silent as he listened to Raiden's report and Calyn's question. He listened intently to Raiden's report listening for any sign of deceit, he didn't like nor did he trust Raiden in the least bit.

Thela followed the Liger to the council cave, staying a half flank behind him, to the right. When the reached the cave, she moved quickly to Mahora's side, finishing off the last pair. She was the last one to arrive, to her chagrin. But she did, at least, bring Raiden with her.
She listened to the liger explain their findings. It seemed reasonable enough. It had been too dark and rainy when she was there to even tell what had happened properly. She also had not seen the body. But she would trust the work of another outrider.
Calyn then asked a question, and Thela refrained from commenting on it. If they could not find a scent, there was no scent. But she would let Raiden explain why they could not track the beast.

Mahora said nothing during the council meeting. He sat on his haunches, black eyes watching the others. Truthfully, he had wished Thela had not brought Raiden. The young cheetah did not have as much trust for the Liger as Kurros had. But he stayed silent, keeping himself from answering any of the questions that had been directed. He glanced over at Calyn for a moment, and knew she had picked up on the same thing he had. When the tiger had spoken, it had been the voice of a male.

Raiden looked up at the panther cross, his expression unreadable. "You mean the traces of hyena's blood found on the body? That did a good deal to eradicate the scent. We suspect though that both assassins were covered in it. Perhaps Lady Calyn, since you were the center of the situation you noticed something that should be said?" He sounded genuinely hopeful, as though he truly wanted the case to be solved.
Brindle's eyes fell on her second as well. She knew nothing of what had taken place before her arrival, and perhaps Calyn could provide them with an important clue. "Mahora, you were the first to Calyn's side, can you tell us anything?"
((I don't think the den is big enough for an out-of-hearing range.))
Zephre watched the black panther disciplining her own, "don't be too hard on him Konya, I'll bet he'll grow up to be a superb hunter one day." This he said loud enough for Jasper to hear. "Now, for a story...hmm...which one should I tell you?.." He pretended to take great consideration as the cubs groaned with impatience. "Ah!" he said finally. "I know just the one." With that he launched into his tale, capturing his audience at once and keeping them transfixed. He changed his voice for different characters and sometimes mimed the actions along with his words. The lion prided himself in his story-telling.

Konya chuckled. "I suppose he will, if he learned how to listen better." She picked him up again and went over to the group of cubs. She sat him down and laid down, purring slightly. "Be good now." She gave his head one last lick then laid her head between her paws.

Kiros quietly studied everyone's response and questions. He sat back on his haunches and then studied Raidens body language. "He's sure of himself, he's calm and sure of what he's saying." He thought to himself as he presented his statement.

"All I can say is that both were males, and both were working together. It was not by chance that two very powerful animals attacked the same person. It was set up by someone, though. It was quite obvious, by from what I was watching and fighting, that someone else was pulling the strings."
Mahora had stood up to speak, and now sat down again. His voice had been soft, as always, but firm. His spotted tail curled around him as he watched the others.

"And the leopard wanted out of it before they attacked. They knew what they were doing, but he was more scared of what would happen if they didn't kill me. But whether it would be at the tiger's or another's hand, I don't know. And they said there was someone else who ordered them, presumably in the pride. But the wind shifted so I didn't hear the name." Calyn said quietly, meeting Mahora's gaze for the few seconds in which her own wasn't on Raiden.
