[Teh Dixie.] Guys, one of these days I want to get a tattoo. Two. A treble clef, don't really know where yet, and a dual design of an Ace of Hearts with a ladybug sitting on it. Symbolism for my grandmother, because I love her to death and miss her even more.
Any tips, woes, and further advice?
Also if any about extra piercings: Whenever I find the time, before the tat's, I'd like to get a second piercing in the lobe and maybe one or two in one of my ears, cartilage. read up on the laws in your state. some states don't care who does your work and if that's the case, you are gonna have to inspect a place yourself. ask to see the needles and equipment, if it's not all packaged up and sealed then find another place. Also request to see a porfolio! for tats, look for minimal redness, a light touch is better than a heavy one. many think it's the other way around but you lose more ink to the blood with a heavy touch. for piercings, they sometimes have a portfolio, not always though, it is nice if they do so you can tell if they are straight and such!

Well, here are my ears. 1st hole=0g 2nd hole=2g 3rd hole=4g    Heh, and let me tell you, I kept wigging out because everyone kept telling me I'd snap the lobe between the gauges and they would all become one huge one.. but, that didn't happen, now I'm good. ^_^ Then, there's my septum. I don't have it anymore via ******** parents but I'm getting it done again so here...  ^^I look so little in that picture!

 I got this today, mostly because I saw an awesome clover belly button dangley jewelry. It hurts to slouch, I hafta poo sitting up straight :V
Dixie: I'm sure you can find a tattoo shop near you that's already clean. Before you get tattooed or pierced, they'll say the needles and everything are new, sterilized, etc. And they should take it out of the package in front of you. It should be easy to find one. Most of the tattoo/piercing parlors I've been to have been clean, friendly, with artwork all over the walls and such. But, of course, I've come across a few places where you can just tell they're not the greatest just by walking in. :P
Ear piercings; they hurt a little more the further you go up, but they're not bad. razz

yeah they do kindahave that feel, I drew the original design, kinda looked off of gaia's mini wings shirt for it.
I've always wanted wings, and always like the chibi anime ones...
Sean my artist kinda just touched them up ^^
